I've been dating too many salons but haven't found my steady. Usually I'm so loyal. I came in with disbelief. How can one salon get so many 5 star reviews? Gina showed me why. She was very easy to talk with about my hair issues and life in general. She understood how to cut wavy hair and let the curls come through naturally. I think it's that Irish in her that makes wavy/curly hair intuitive for her. Shampoo, cut, and hair drying took maybe 20 minutes. Gina is incredibly sweet and gave me little samples of shampoo and mousse to try on my hair before I left. You can access the salon either from El Camino or from their main storefront. Had my hair cut and colored by Gina yesterday. She did a great job disguising my grown out roots without pushing me into continuing my all-over color. We definitely did a lot more consultation over the color than the cut, but I am happy with both so far. I can tell that Gina likes to do fun color more than "just my roots," which is fine with me. :) What I ended up with was very subtle gradient between my grown out and faded old color and my natural roots (dark brown). I paid $120 plus tip for a partial (half head, ish) highlight/lowlight foil and hair cut. Not bad. Also, it only took an hour and a half and she curled my hair with an iron instead of a round brush. The salon is cute and open feeling. They have a gorgeous sky light. They have a mix of products, one or two products from each line (which means they only keep the stuff they love and trash the rest!). They use a mix of different color brands, Redken, Iso/Joico, Schwartzkopff. The salon is owned by the four stylists who work there. They do not have a receptionist, so leave a voicemail and one of them will call you back. It appears that they have an esthetician, but not nails. read more

I went for the first time to Studio 2325 this afternoon at the recommendation of my daughter. She had Ana cut her hair - she looks great and she was very pleased with the pleasant demeanor of Ana as well as the way that she was mindful of checking in to make sure that Kelly was happy. Her friend Alison had Gina at the same time and she has a wonderful cut and was happy as well. I haven't had a haircut in a while after having a bad experience the last time I went. Ana was respectful and gave me a beautiful haircut. People said I looked 10 to 15 years younger! She is very good. The atmosphere is a great blend of "down to business" and feeling like you are with old friends. I highly recommend Studio 2325!! Any place that can take care of the needs of 22 year olds as well as 59 year olds is great in my book! read more

Trisha has been my hair stylist for close to 20 years and I have never had a bad experience at her hair salon. She takes her time to do the job right and I never feel rushed. The salon is really nice with big beautiful skylights and they also provide other services like facials with Linda and a full retail shop where you can stock up on your favorite shampoo and conditioners. This place is a true gem! I just moved to the area from Philadelphia and desperately needed help fixing my hair since my roots were really grown in. I have naturally dark brown hair but have been highlighting my hair blonde for awhile now and needed to find a new place since moving. Lynda, Trish, Ana and Gina have done a tremendous job creating a fresh, airy and environmentally conscious salon. Having been a client of these ladies through the years, my husband and I are very glad to see their vision become a reality. Last week, I enjoyed needed facial with Lynda. She worked wonders as usual and I felt so relaxed in her new spacious room. Trish, Ana and Gina are excellent hair stylists. These ladies are truly adept at cutting all hair types and using the latest color techniques. Update: My husband & I got hair cuts today. As usual, I got compliments on my new style while running my errands afterward. My husband didn't look too shabby either. ; ) While getting my hair cut, I enjoyed the serene setting with the sunlight streaming in from the windows & sky lights. Skeptical me....always weary of where I get my hair done. I hadn't had it done since April of 2014 as my hairdresser moved locations and to me the salon was too big. I walked into studio 2325 and was greeted warmly right away by a very pretty lady with awesome red hair. I quickly learn this is Gina and she'll be doing my hair. I'm excited now, if her hair looks this good and fun then I knew I was in good hands. Gina not only knew what she was talking about but also added a couple suggestions that were nothing but brilliant. She achieved giving me gorgeous blonde highlights without having to use bleach. My cut is adorable too without taking off much length.Gina has a great sense of humor and the place has a wonderful homey feel. All I needed was a glass of red in hand and I wouldn't want to leave. So today I had a life changing facial, and experience. When we think of our skin as women and men, we have to think hard. I've wasted thousands of dollars getting facials over the years. I only say a waste of money because after my facial today with Lynda, I totally felt better as a whole. I simply was just enjoying a great cleanse over the years basically. Laying there I felt my pores become clear and begin to feel the breeze in the room. Lynda combined a few treatments after speaking and learning my skin needs and desires. We are doing "Bridal Boot Camp" Even though I'm already married. It's a skin treatment program designed to get your skin in tip top shape so that your continued skin care just flows naturally. The salon has a home feel. Lynda has a motherly touch, and her skin beams with no effort. After seeing her skin I became in awe and I wanted her to be my skins fairy godmother. One of the best decisions I've made in a while! Easy parking, great location. Reasonable pricing, I honestly couldn't recommend a better place for skincare. Plus they have great hair stylists available. Try making it a one stop shop! She never tried to make it about buying products, she actually insisted that I stay on my products I was using at home. I was just so in awe of my skin appearance after my first facial I wanted to purchase everything she used. I just felt it was a personal experience l, not a one facial fits all. It was as if she read my mind when I sat down in the chair, discussing what it is that I wanted to be done. I have never been in and out of a salon that quickly with such great results. I don't like getting my hair done and I haven't been to a salon for over 2 years but after growing my hair out for 3 years, it was time to do something. When I decide to get my hair cut, I want to get it done now, not have to wait for weeks. I am on vacation this week, heading to England for 7 weeks this Friday and decided I needed to do something. So, yesterday I looked up Salons in San Mateo on Yelp. After reading the reviews, I decided to try Studio 2325. I totally lucked out because they had a cancellation for today. As I hung up, I asked who the stylist was going to be, and I was told it was Gina. What an absolutely perfect match for me. I have super thick hair, was almost all one layer, and naturally curly/frizzy. She knew exactly the best way to work with my hair. She also asked me if when I color my own hair if I was coloring just the roots or the entire top layer. I was, and that was what was causing the top layer of my hair to be super straight and not able to curl anymore. I don't know how she did it, because I am VERY difficult to please, but when she was done, I couldn't believe how incredible my hair looked. I only have had one other person in my life cut my hair in a way that I actually like. When I get back in December, I will definitely be going back to see Gina! And, I am going to also have her color my hair. I usually don't write reviews because I am usually not impressed enough to write a review, but I had to this time. Thank you Gina! I just found my hair dresser for life (Gina)!! I am 28 yrs old and the salon I used to go to said I had stubborn grays and the highest technician couldn't even color them. I called Studio 2325 for a hair coloring appointment and Gina picked up the phone. She was very knowledgeable on all hair dye lines and color techniques. I booked an appointment with her and she was able to cover my grays correctly! She helped me liven up my hair with multiple colors. Her expertise was amazing. She even knew what colors to recommend for the season. She also recommended a shampoo/conditioner set from Joico and my hair (and my boyfriend's) hair feels a lot cleaner than the expensive shampoos (Tigi S Factor) I used to buy!! What sold me for life was she called me a couple days later after the hair dying appointment and asked how my hair was doing! Talk about customer service!! I've never had a call back from a stylist. The value for the hair color was great! The products they use are A+ products. The salon atmosphere is new, nice, and well-maintained and the skylights make it great. I also met another stylist there and she was just as pleasant and knowledgeable as Gina. So I feel like I could recommend the other ladies here as well. Gina has cut my hair twice, both times with great results. Both cuts grew out well and lasted for a good long time, so I didn't feel like I had to run back right away. My hair is curly and she gave me a cut that can go curly or be blown out. She knows curls! Gina is super pleasant and friendly, but also doesn't mind just some quiet zoning out.
