If i could give zero stars I would. This place lacks decent service. The staff are disrespectful and rude. I called to make an appointment and the lady said that if i decide to cancel to let her know because she wants to go home early. I'm sorry if you don't want to work and lack customer service you should find another profession. I didn't even make it into the salon due to the horrible experience I had while trying to make an appointment. Also, when i called i could hear someone in the background "tell her we only wait 10 mins after the appointment time!" And "tell her this and tell her that" super rude. Skip if you can. read more

I love this place. They repaired a horrible dye job that I had done last year and gave me an incredibly great new hair style for my trip this year. Anyone looking to have their hair repaired or have their hair done by someone who knows what their doing and leave you smiling, this is the place for you. They are an amazing staff, a true team. (My story below) Last year I made the mistake of getting my hair done by a young hair stylist at Ulta in Tanforan (its no longer there). I was leaving for a trip and decided to go last minute to get a new look before I went. It was the worst thing Ive done to hair. The girl that did my hair didn't have as much experience as she was claiming to have and I should have known better. Only go to the mall for simple dye jobs, and easy to manage hair care. For complicated things leave to the professionals. So I had asked the girl at Ulta for a blue ombre, something that would start just about shoulder length down. Well, she went up higher than I would have liked and left the bleach in my hair much longer than she should have. My hair was incredibly damaged by the end. The blue ultimately went to green (as it often does) and then I was left with weird colored, damaged hair for a while. Thank Goodness for Fashion Cuts! I found them while researching places who had good reviews and were known for hair repair. The staff is super friendly and make you feel like your part of their family. They have great knowledge and advice. I just can't say enough great things about them. They were able to lift the terrible colors that were left in my hair and gave me a new, more natural tone to my hair. They also have a blend of oils that they used to restore my hair to a better condition. Recently I went back to get my hair done by them again before my trip. Blanca is amazing. A true professional who knows what she is doing. I love my hair and have received compliments at work, home and just walking down the street.I look forward to going back for any touch ups because I know I'll be in good hands. Salon is off Grand and there is no huge sign so make sure to follow GPS or go by the address! I called last minute on a Friday afternoon for a Saturday a.m. appointment. Most salons couldn't take me in in the morning but my cousin's wedding was at noon! Average family owned salon by mom and her daughters. Very nice service and could get busy as the morning goes on. Got right down to business and washed my hair, blew dry and styled! Being from LA I appreciated the quick service and great style that lasted well into the reception. I would say I am the type of person who never tries anything new, specially when it comes to my hair. I went on Yelp and started my search to find a great hair salon that has great prices. I stumbled upon Fashion Cuts Family Hair Salon in South San Fransisco and started reading the reviews. I saw the prices were not on the website or Yelp so I called the salon. A wonderful young lady answered the phone and was more than happy to let me know their prices. I wanted to get a cut and color and she stated that I was able to come in right away. I drove a mile down the street to try something new. When I walked in Bianca and her daughter were the nicest people to greet me. I wanted a specific color for my hair and Bianca worked with me until I picked the correct one. She was not getting mad at all that I was taking long and probably seemed annoying. I am not going to make this post long because it doesn't need to be to get the point across. All and all, I am the happiest person with my cut and color! Bianca did a wonderful job and also curled my hair to finish everything off. She was lovely, as was her daughter. I was trying to go from black hair to a light brown and went to another salon that did a horrible job. I went here and got a color correction. They really knew what they were doing from the get-go they were able to see what needed to be done and how to do it without damaging my hair. The service is great and the salon is very clean and cute. The best part is that they have tremendous experience- one of the stylist is an instructor at a beauty college so she really knows both the theory and practice behind hair. I highly recommend them for coloring as well as cuts. I have become a regular and always come out extremely satisfied with the results. On top of that for the work done the price was very affordable. Hair cuts I believe are $35 but look like $100+ hair cuts bc on top of the cut the price included blow drying and styling. The only down side is you have to park on the street so be sure to take quarters for the meter. read more

She is a true professional, she took the time to listen to my problem and what I wanted to do to fix it. She kept the length, evened it out and made it look fantastic. I always leave feeling stylish when I get my haircut here. Blanca always does a great job, she just KNOWS hair. As a guy, I wasn't sure about a beauty salon but haven't left unhappy one time yet. Been in and out this place for about 2 years. Be sure to call ahead or set up an appointment because they are busy. I also buy my gel there, (big plus) product (JohnnyBGood) doesn't leave my hair flaky. Parking is tough but there is a parking lot less than a block away. Be sure to pay meter. I was really pleasantly surprised by this place. I originally went because they were inexpensive and took walk-ins. I expected it to be like those cheap places where they spray your hair down with a water bottle and barely cut your hair straight. But this place is a full scale salon. They use great products and my hairdresser, Arianna, totally knew what she was doing. She gave me a really professional haircut and blow-out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

I went to this place because I didn't have to make an appointment and wait days for a response only to get an appointment a weak out...I have very fine hair and I asked her to clean up what I had just a trim she took too much off and made it choppy when I gave her a chance to make it right and made the end bold because a choppy cut on fine hair makes it look greasy with balding effect I am so upset she was very sweet but had no business in the hair business. I will never go there again and at 45 It's hard to maintain good hair. read more

Came this afternoon for a haircut and I was greeted by a warm welcome from the receptionist. The staff at the salon are very nice and always smiled. I asked to have my cut done by Oswaldo since I heard great praises about him from my sister. I showed a picture of the cut that I wanted to Oswaldo and I just felt at ease right when I sat in the chair. He's a very good listener, friendly and very professional. He listened to how I wanted my hair and even gave suggestions to make it better. I didn't feel like he was rushing my haircut and paid close attention to every detail.
