I've been going here for 3 years after being introduced by a friend and they knock it out of the park every single time with their high quality work. The nail sets can last for 4-5 weeks and I have never had a nail chip, break or peel. My nails are the healthiest they have ever been and I love love love getting my nails done here. The service is incredible and the technicians are so kind as well as talented! Lily usually does my nails and she is so lovely to work with. Vincy owns the salon and does incredible work herself. These women are artists, truly! I've brought my friends, family, and boyfriend here and I'll continue to do so as long as I live in this city (which will be a long time). I love Meet Nails! I have been going here for 4 years now? The ladies are so kind, they will do any design you want (or let you know if they can't do the exact design), and they have SO many colors! The inside is cute and it's a smaller shop, so you need an appointment. These nails LAST! The quality is excellent. I usually get my nails done every 4-5 weeks (compared to every 2-3 weeks at other places). These nails do not peel, lift, or chip. I also wear my nails much longer than I used to because of the quality. I am always so happy with my nails and get lots of compliments! Which means I have sent a lot of people here who also keep going once they've tried Meet Nails. I originally came here to do "one more" gelish nail mani before I took a break because my nails were literally crumbling apart. I really just wanted to get a pedicure because I'm like super pregnant, can't reach my toes, and its actually really nice to have someone care for all the cuticle stuff and have the nail polish last long (gel). I hate traveling far so when this spot popped up on yelp and being decently close to home. I was able to get a same day appt around the time I wanted. I didn't get her name but she was very nice, my Cantonese is minimal but we still made small talk when possible. Because of my big belly, she accommodated me by giving me a lower stool for my feet and so she had to crouch a bit to paint my toes. I appreciated the extra customer service. My toes are cute, nails cut/filed down. I believe it was $43 for gel pedi and a little extra for another color for my toe/design. I look forward to going back! read more

This is my second time at Meet Nails and I plan on returning. I've gotten a mani and pedi done. They offer great pedi services - I got the essential oil kind and it left my feet feeling so smooth. I believe I got my mani done by Lily. Her skills are exquisite! She really took the time with the design I wanted and was open to feedback if it wasn't done right. People think these are press ons because of the design but nope, she did it all by hand. My two other girl friends come here and had amazing experiences as well. GOOD NEWS - BAD NEWS - WORST NEWS THE GOOD- The couple of gel mani's I've gotten here are excellent THE BAD- They use an electric file to remove the gel which pretty much ruined my existing nail beds. They are totally irregular in appearance and as a consequence of the filing are quite a bit thinner and breaking as they grow . THE WORST- I went in to show them and thought perhaps they would offer to repair with at least a simple manicure; but the girl at the desk could not be bothered as she continued to flip through her phone . I just moved in the Vicente neighborhood 15 days ago and I was looking for a nail place that's closer to my house because I didn't want to travel back to where I always go to do nails. Luckily, I passed by this place and thought I'd check it out through Yelp because I wanted to see what the reviews are. I went ahead and called the salon and booked for Saturday. I was so amazed when I came in because the place is clean, tidy and I love the set up of the place. Vincy the owner greeted me with a big smile on her face. She is very nice, friendly and accommodating. She started removing my acrylic nails and handed me to Tina to finish the work. And I would say, TINA IS VERY METICULOUS, FOCUS AND SHE'S REALLY GOOD AT WHAT SHE DOES. I LOVE HER WORK!!! SHE SHOW GREAT ATTENTION TO DETAIL, VERY CAREFUL AND PRECISE which I'm happy the most. Overall, I had a wonderful time and great experience with Vincy and Tina today. I've been to this nail salon a few times. They were even illegally open during the mandated pandemic shutdown and was "secretly" still making appointments and doing nails when they were supposed to be closed due to COVID. DO NOT GO HERE! The owner Vincy will try to bait you into making a deposit for a 13% discount each time you come in. She will do a bait and switch and have a listed price, then make up some excuses why they had to charge more when it is time to pay!!!! My very first appointment I had my nails done with design gel Manicures. I was overcharged $80 and Vincy the owner, said new customers have $10 off so I paid $70. The paint started peeling off after 2 days!!!! Vincy then did a sales pitch saying if I deposit $300 for a $300 gift card credit , I would get 13% off each appointment there after until the $300 is used up which is a blatant LIE! The 2nd time I came in I had a gel Pedicure and she charged me $48 after the discount . I think that was the only time she charged me the normal price . The 3rd time and final time I came to this crappy nail salon was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! 2 of my friends and I wanted to get our nails done before Christmas so we texted her to make appointments. Then there was a mandate shutdown of all indoor dining and salons but Vincy said its okay and said we can all come at the same time. When we went to our illegal appointment, Vincy was the only one working and my friend had to wait 6 HOURS to have her nails done!!!!!!!!! After the long excruciating wait and finally having my nails done, this Vincy charges me $85 from my $300 credit balance after her supposed 13% discount. I was so confused to why she was charging me $85 when she only painted 2 of my nails and the first time I saw this hideous person she only charged me $70 and painted all 10 of my nails. I didn't notice it till later so I texted Vincy telling her I think she made an error . She replied that no matter how many nails she paints, she needs to charge me $85. Does that make sense to you guys?! Her work is mediocre and her paints are so cheap! I still have $100 of credit left and I asked her to refund the money back to me because not only does she do a bad job, but she is very dishonest! She said no and even called one of my friends and tried to force my friend into buying the rest of the $100 balance of my gift card rather than just give me my money back! My friend doesn't want to go back either and said she doesn't want to buy the remaining balance from me. After all the back and forth, she offered to refund me $73. That's how much of a dishonest crook this Vincy is! She even tried to threaten me and told me not to write a bad review online or on Yelp or she won't give me my money back! Mind you, all she does is gossip and talk crap about other customers while she paints nails. She's a horrible nail technician and needs to go back to school to learn how to do nails properly. DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE AGITATION TO THE 9th DEGREE!!!!!! There are so many other nail salons in the Bay Area, go to them! On 12/06/20 San Francisco, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara counties implemented the state's 2nd regional stay at home order which shuts down businesses like salons and indoor gyms and limits restaurants to delivery and takeout service only. A friend of a friend recommended this business. I had an appointment on 12/11/20 and called to reschedule but Vincy who I guess is the owner said that its okay and that she will secretly be open and can still see me. I felt very uncomfortable and take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and insisted I cancel or reschedule my appointment. Vincy's tone changed and rudely said if I don't keep my appointment she will never see me. I was like WTH?!?!?! She claims she's very busy and booked and cannot give me another appointment. I changed my tone as well and told her that I cannot make it on 12/11 and that she's supposed to be closed anyways. She started yelling at me in Cantonese but I couldn't understand what she said because I don't speak Cantonese and only know some Mandarin. I told her I can go next week on 12/18 and she reluctantly agreed. A week rolls around and I'm in the shop and unbeknownst to me there are 2 other customers in this small shop. 1 of them wasn't wearing a mask. I told her I will not wait inside the shop with other people in there. She said something to her 2 other customers in Cantonese and I know she was saying something negative about me because the other 2 looked at me with a look of disdain. After waiting over 30 minutes in my car she was finally done with her 2 friends or customers and she called me to, "Go in now!". I felt very uncomfortable dealing with this woman but I already wasted my time. I put my airpods on so I wouldn't have to endure a fake conversation with Vincy. She did a pretty lousy job and the gel on one of my fingers fell off the next day. I didn't want to waste my time or see her again so I called her and told her about it and she yelled at me that it's not her fault and that I was trying to cheat her and get a free nail job. I didn't even ask her for a refund and gave her a few choice words and hung up. I didn't know getting nails done could be such an excruciating experience but congratulations Vincey, you made it very very agonizing. I reported her to the SF Board of Health but I guess they did nothing because she never got fined or shut down for illegally operating during the mandatory shut down. read more

The store was busy and my nails were done in a rush (uneven, thick and looked very unfinished). This place is cute yes, and their service is fine (other than the lady who was telling me the price) but there was this one lady pricing it and she is literally price gouging. I may have just found my go-to nail salon in the Sunset! This seems like a new salon in the area and the decor (as others have said) is cute and clean - they sanitize everything, wear face masks, line bowls with plastic, etc. The outside isn't marked with a sign, but it's easy to find them since they've got cute golden/pink decorations that you can see from the window. I'm someone who usually does a normal mani pedi (don't really do gel/dip/anything fancy), but I did come in today to do a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Vincy and the other girl doing my pedicure gave me THE MOST METICULOUS MANICURE I've ever received in my life. Nothing was rushed, they gave me 100% of their attention and also really made sure I was comfortable (they offer you a beverage and will put a hot pack behind your back and a pillow on your lap). No bleeding cuticles, they also asked in between each step for me to take a look and see if I was happy so far, and were always touching up little details to ensure an absolutely flawless manicure. I only did gel and nothing more extensive, but it seems that Vincy, the nail technician/owner, is capable of doing some really cute designs/techniques so I would definitely give this place a try. On her own nails, she had the cat's eye design which (idk if that's hard or not, Ik it requires a magnet or something) impressed me. Brand new salon in the area. The owner, Vincy, is very nice and sweet. Came by for a quick Express Pedi, since I was running errands in the neighborhood. Parking: street Payments accepted: cash or credit card. Vincy was very polite as soon as I came in. Very cute shop. When you walk in, you'll notice how clean the place is.
