After the intensity of going to the Monterey Aquarium This place is nice and out of the way. All coffee is pour over. I had the decaf which was very favorable. However, barista's skill at tea could use improvement. She did not steeped the leaves enough to give flavor given the amount of water. Additionally, the barista was not very friendly when asked about the beverages and evidence an attitude of just getting our drinks out. We we the only customers. There were no other customers waiting for drinks. 5 Stars for coffee, 3 Stars for tea, and 2 starts for welcoming customers.l read more

Can this place be any more damn cute? I've always eyed this place walking along the trail, whd curiousity finally got the best of me. To be honest, I was lulled by the sweet sound of soft rock and a sign that promised a heated bench. First things first, this is a place you should only go to if you're not in a rush. They do coffee and tea pour over style. Which is awesome, but timely. They have local coffee from ACME and organic tea. This is a great place to park and get some work done. It's bike and dog friendly for people passing by. I think this will be my new spot in Monterey. Cheers! read more

Great, peaceful spot near the Acquarium and walking path. It has a heated bench and a fish pond, which I'm sorry to say my son enjoyed more than the visit to said acquarium at $100+. We got a dark chocolate tea, a dark roast coffee, and a cherry pastry and enjoyed them all very much. read more

Heading to the Monterey Bay Aquarium we needed caffeine to begin our day. This was a cute and quiet hidden gem. The coffee was delicious. We tried their cornbread muffin and the Blissful Bite. Popped in for a coffee after going to the aquarium, hoping for a pick me up for the long drive home. Had the Road Dog and it was pretty good, but a little bitter. For $4, I expected to be more impressed. That said, the decor is super cool and rustic, making for a less commercial feel. It's small and intimate inside, and a little hard to find, which adds to the independent coffee shop aura. If that matters a lot to you, then check out Studio. If not, Starbucks isn't too far down the road, and will save you a couple bucks on a decent coffee. read more

We were having coffees after a long day at aquarium at their outside patio with my wife and little girl who was excited about seeing the fishes in their pond. While we were enjoying our coffee with one other couple seating across from us we were told by seems me be the owner "please keep it down because we are filming". We looked over and saw that the patio is attached to a room that the door was wide open and there was one guy filming ONE person. We felt very offended by the way SHE (older lady that works there) asked us and knowing we (specially our child) were NOT loud at all. We got up and left. The reason for the three star is the management, at our last visit a lady that seemed to be the owner asked us , me my husband and my 2 year old daughter to quite down. We have a 2 year old who got excited about a fire truck siren and shouted fire truck at the moment the truck passed by and the owner told us " please quite down since we are filming an event". While there is only us in the patio I had my daughter to sit next to me and whisper. For people who have not been there, you must know that the room they hold events in is right by their patio. I recommend if you really mean to hold an event and keep the area crowd free and quite you should close your shop business or at least your patio area instead of telling your customers come shop here but be quite. This could've been a group of women or men talking and laughing loudly enjoying their drinks at the patio. Not sure if I come back! read more

So glad we found this place. It's hard to find good pour over venturing outside of our own city. We were fearing we might have to go to Starbucks. (Yes I'm a coffee snob). Five stars for the heated bench outside. Plus about 50 very reasonably-priced and highly specialized teas to choose from, at $2.75 a cup. The owner and her daughter were eager to have me smell any of the dry brews I was interested in to the point of obtaining a pleasant aromatic high. Also, there's a mini zen garden with a waterfall right outside, and the whole package is nestled in a quiet little area right off the main Cannery drag. I'll be back next time I'm in Monterey, if for nothing else than the heated bench. Awesome. read more

This quaint little cafe had amazing pour over coffee that was so smooth it didn't need anything added to it. The cafe also serves a long list of incredible teas and small treats to accompany your drinks. They have a small seating area inside as well as outside to include a heated concrete bench that is wonderful on cold days. read more

What a hidden gem! Located in the walking trail between Wave Street and Cannery Row, we found a quaint little spot that served delicious pour over coffee and various teas. They also served gluten free treats that were fresh and delicious. The owner was very welcoming and the server was also very helpful in guiding us on what to order. No only did we get delicious coffee, tea, and treats but we also got a little tour of his studio. Lastly there is actually heated concrete seating that kept us warm while enjoying the serene atmosphere of the patio and fish pond. We will definitely stop by again the next time we visit Monterey. read more

Super cute Cafe/TV recording studio with a great outdoor patio with a super nice, positive vibe. Their huge HEATED CONCRETE BENCH is awesome! It's a great addition to their outdoor seating, especially during cold, foggy mornings. ALL of their fresh, made-in-house baked goods are GLUTEN-FREE! They have over 30 organic teas and serve locally roasted ACME coffee. Even make their own cold brew. Their pour-over coffee is fantastic and makes up for the fact that they don't do espresso. It's not necessary when they have coffee that good. Oh and local Revival ice cream is on hand! The owners are friendly and super environmentally conscious.
