Homey and welcoming as ever, Good Neighbor has been kept clean and well-run through its many decades, and the food remains top notch coffee shop fare. Though it can be very busy on weekends, it was quiet this Thursday morning, so I was greeted and seated immediately. The menu features all the usual and expected options, from eggs and omelets to pancakes, burgers, salads, sandwiches and even egg salad that's "made to order." They've also added their own coffee bar in an adjunct space, so the hot drink options are extensive. Today, I ordered Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. The food came out quickly and pleasingly hot. The hash was well done and crispy (as requested), and had good flavor -- a nice balance of seasoning without being too salty. Eggs were also done exactly as requested, and the over medium yolks blended perfectly with the crisp hash. A side of cottage cheese was fresh, and the English muffin lightly toasted but properly warm to melt the butter. This may have been a traditional, old school, non-trendy breakfast order, but it was executed perfectly and was a satisfying start to the day. My server, Elza, was friendly and helpful, checking on me repeatedly, and making sure I had everything I needed. I have been here for breakfast and loved everything I have ordered. This restaurant makes some traditional classics and home style favorites. Right off the 101 freeway, and located in a small shopping center, parking can be tough. It definitely worth taking the time ! Service is friendly and accommodating. A delicious diner in the valley. It's one of the better diners in the area which is already full of great and historic diners. It feels like you are eating in someone's home. I would classify this place as a classic country style diner. The sort of place where locals lineup to have their daily meal and there is always a revolving board of specials. They have a fairly large menu with a ton of options on it and service is very fast. Our waiter was also really polite and we were checked in on many times by many different employees. They have a small parking lot attached to the front of the restaurant, otherwise it will be free street parking in the neighborhood behind. As mentioned, the menu is pretty large so it took me a minute to decide which dish I wanted to order. I ended up choosing the Eggs Alla Fisdale because Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish. This one is unique because they use a cheddar cheese sauce, which basically tasted like a cheesy hollandaise. It was honestly delicious and really made the meal. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I loved it. We also split a Banana Pudding for dessert and it was good but nothing special. We ordered some Caramel Lattes to begin our meal, and they were very tasty and strong. I would recommend them. Overall a delicious diner with fair pricing and free parking. Lunch items, that I had, were great but I generally stuck to breakfast. The service was overall good but I did get a lot of stares when I walked in which made me feel very uncomfortable. They didn't have many vegan options so I ordered the breakfast potatoes. The breakfast potatoes looked more like home fries or crispy thick fries sautéed with veggies. The dish tasted ok. I might visit again and ask for more sautéed veggies on the potatoes. They're super attentive and kind. But I have been here when it's hectic on a Sunday morning and you'll find them rushing a bit. But the service makes up for it. We went thier on our last day visiting my wifey family who.lived just a few minutes from this.place. 1st off the place wasn't to busy at the time but thier was a good flow of traffic. Good Neighbor Restaurant is a Studio City Staple. This quant little spot has been doing breakfast, lunch and brunch for 50 years. Its been a long while since I've been here and it was nice to be back, however I was sad to see that they no longer serve coffee in proper cups - everything is in paper or plastic. Coffee is served in a paper cup. Water in plastic. When I go to a restaurant and sit down for breakfast, I'd like to drink coffee out of a ceramic cup - but hey that's just me. On the positive side, the service was nice and friendly. Elza took good care of us. The Corn Beef Hash & Eggs dish was tasty, and the Corn Beef was not too salty. The Eggs Ala Fisdale is also very good. This dish is like Eggs Benedict but instead of Hollandaise sauce, they serve a Cheese Salsa. On both dishes we asked for the Cottage Fries, which were really like French Fries served with Green Bell Peppers and Onions. The side of bacon was just as requested - crispy.
