    Tri-Tip Steak & Eggs

We stopped by for an early breakfast on a week day. Plenty of tables available. Glad this place offers a single pancake. The banana pancake was moist and a decent size. We were a bit disappointed with the protein meat we ordered. Both the chicken and trip tip steak were tough and way over cooked (felt dry). The eggs were perfectly cooked. Definitely need to come back to try the omelette.

This a fantastic place to hangout and nosh. It's a throw back to what good food and hanging out with friends is all about. On Cahuenga Bl. Right off the 101 freeway, and located in a small shopping center, parking can be tough. It definitely worth taking the time ! Service is friendly and accommodating. Not to mention fast and with a smile. There is a small coffee shop adjacent, same owner in case you just want a cup of Joe to go I ordered sausage and eggs, homestyle potatoes and toast, hit the spot. This place is adorned with photos of Monroe and James dean and other stars who have stopped in. Recommended on food and service This is a great diner

First time visitors to this restaurant and we loved it! Upon entering location, one instantly feels as though they have stepped back in time. There are many pictures of Hollywood stars of yesteryear hanging throughout the restaurants. Tables are avail for seat two to four guests and no booths which I loved for some reason. The restaurant definitely has an older vibe to it but in a very nostalgic kind of way. The service here was top-notch as everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, hard-working and attentive. The food was EXCELLENT!! We had the honey hotcakes, French toast, turkey bacon and scrambled eggs and everything was cooked to perfection, very tasty and fresh. Everything about this dining experience was positive

The food was 15 out of 10!! Entire team was amazing and kind!! Especially Chris who crushed it!! Don't complain about the parking because this is how LA is!! Old Hollywood vibes and old school clean dinner esthetics. Homemade food with high quality ingredients that were so fresh!! We will be back

Killer potatoes and spinach omelette! My second time here. It's also just a comfy place to have breakfast on a day off before heading to Universal Studios.

Still consistent... Always great to experience their food + welcoming nature again, just as I did over 20 years ago (when I first began dining here!) Ordered breakfast and everything was perfect (pancake/eggs/turkey bacon/oj/coffee). While it's no longer in my general vicinity, I will began making the drive more often and grab some lunch (turkey burger and fries) in the near future... so glad they are still thriving after all this time!

A delicious diner in the valley. It's one of the better diners in the area which is already full of great and historic diners. It feels like you are eating in someone's home. I would classify this place as a classic country style diner. The sort of place where locals lineup to have their daily meal and there is always a revolving board of specials. They have a fairly large menu with a ton of options on it and service is very fast. Our waiter was also really polite and we were checked in on many times by many different employees. They have a small parking lot attached to the front of the restaurant, otherwise it will be free street parking in the neighborhood behind. As mentioned, the menu is pretty large so it took me a minute to decide which dish I wanted to order. I ended up choosing the Eggs Alla Fisdale because Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish. This one is unique because they use a cheddar cheese sauce, which basically tasted like a cheesy hollandaise. It was honestly delicious and really made the meal. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I loved it. We also split a Banana Pudding for dessert and it was good but nothing special. We ordered some Caramel Lattes to begin our meal, and they were very tasty and strong. I would recommend them. Overall a delicious diner with fair pricing and free parking. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast option in the valley.

Amazing breakfast potatoes. Coffee is delicious. It wasn't too crowded during lunch but I've heard that it can, especially breakfast.

Wonderful, clean place to have some great, delicious, yummy Açaí Bowls, Smoothies, Baked Empanadas…read more I have been to the Sherman Oaks Ubatuba a few months ago. First time in the Tujunga Village. Place is so quaint, pretty, relaxing, chill with lovely people working here. Got a nice welcome today when I walked in around 1pm by 2 of their employees. They have many variety of toppings, fridge full of cold drinks, bowls of your desires (and they are pretty solid). Not watery like some places that I know that sell Açaí Bowls. Ordered myself a medium bowl covered with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, a touch of granola and some chocolate drizzle in between the fruits and the actual açaí. It was very soothing, refreshing, creamy and tasty. I will save my appetite next time when I go back for some Empanadas. Now I know what the hype is all about. They also have dairy free & vegan options. Metered and residential parking in the front and on the side streets! They also have a gender neutral bathroom. Prices are reasonable according to the portions and they don't skimp. You get it filled up to the brim. Established in 2013 and still going strong after all these years!:-))

It was my first time trying acai there, and I was excited to try a little bit of everything. However, my experience wasn't perfect. One of the staff members, who had an accent, came across as unfriendly and was stingy with the toppings, which made that part of my visit less enjoyable. Overall, I appreciated the warm welcome, but I hope future visits have a more consistent experience with all staff members. 2 stars for consideration.

Unfortunately, my first visit back in two years was extremely disappointing. My server wasn't very communicative and didn't explain the menu, portion sizes, or that many dishes were meant to be shared, so I ended up ordering far more food than I needed. The food was not what I remembered. The curry was overly salty, I didn't enjoy the dumpling filling, and the protein inside the spring rolls had an unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, I simply didn't like the food (beside the vegetables soup) The atmosphere was extremely overwhelming. The outdoor seating I used to enjoy was gone, and inside the restaurant was crowded and very noisy, with loud customers, music, and kitchen noise all competing at once. After a long day, I was hoping for a relaxing dinner, but instead left with a strong migraine, I was trying to eat and felt like I wanted to run away from there to just get peace & quiet. When I paid, I explained that I genuinely didn't like most of the food. Despite barely eating more than a soup, a few bites of curry, and one spring roll, I was still charged $53 and was told "there was nothing they could do about it" This restaurant is nothing like the Hope Kitchen I used to know. Between the disappointing food, poor service, and uncomfortable atmosphere, it was a terrible experience. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend it.
