I have heard about this store for years. I love the name and the chandeliers inside. But, we bought a pretty big variety of goodies and none of them were amazing. The chocolate nut gluten free cookie was dry. The plain Jane cookie was very plain. The chocolate dipped macaroons were too dry and coconut. It crumbled when I tried to eat it. The lemon bar had the right crust and texture. But, where was the lemon? The salted brownie was way too salty. At least it was chocolate and fudge too. I was very disappointed. It's been a while since I've popped into one of the newer locations since they were sold and reopened. We had the loveliest girl helping us. Her name was Mariah and she really went above and beyond to provide great customer service! Today I decided to go low key and just buy one of their regular chocolate chip cookies. There's nothing regular about them! They are huge and full of decadent chocolate and flavor! The edges are slightly crispy and the middle is nice and soft. The perfect cookie! The store is very clean and bright inside. There's so many sweet goodies to choose from. unacceptable for a premium bakery My experience with Sweet Lady Jane Beverly Hills was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I trusted them with the cake for my daughter's 21st birthday--a once-in-a-lifetime celebration--and paid more than $200 instead of approximately $70 elsewhere because I expected professional service, excellent quality, and perfect attention to detail. They failed to deliver all three. The six candles and the number "21," which were essential to the birthday presentation, were completely missing. The bakery later admitted that everything had been prepared but that their employee forgot to give the items to the delivery driver. Because of their carelessness, the most important cake-presentation moment was negatively affected, and that moment can never be recreated. That was not the only problem. The cake was not the exact shade of pink I specifically selected from the bakery's own picture, and part of the cake was dry. For a cake costing more than $200, this level of quality and attention to detail is completely unacceptable. Their proposed resolution was 12 complimentary cupcakes that I would need to request two days in advance and pick up myself. That is wholly inadequate and does nothing to correct what happened during my daughter's milestone birthday. Cupcakes on another day cannot replace a ruined cake presentation or restore that special moment. Sweet Lady Jane charges premium prices, but my order did not receive premium quality or service. Based on this experience, I deeply regret choosing this bakery and would not trust them again with an important celebration. I cannot recommend the Sweet Lady Jane Beverly Hills location. read more

(visit 2/19/26) 1 star for being open til late & having street parking (free after 8pm) But (-2 stars) for the BLATANT discrimination & disassociation. We were not being actively engaged with & weren't given good or even mediocre customer SERVICE.. as a paying customer, regardless of ethnicity or gender- I deserve the decency of respect. (-1 another star ) for the lack of ease for a first time guest. There were more unlabeled cakes & desserts than ones with correct or actual labels [and having employees who refuse to help you decipher flavors doesn't make for an enjoyable experience]. (-1 another star) for the lack of flavor. We got van creme cake slice 2/5 (tasted like pudding layered with cake crumbs and lot of frosting. No real taste or flavoring; lite vanilla and butter), the lemon cupcake was better 2.5/5 & the sea salt caramel was about the same 3/5. Ambiance looks like it can be a bit updated & id like the cakes to be fully enclosed in the display case.. but it's more of a glass front and open back area. Luckily we were in the part of the strip with a lot of options for sweet treats (SALT & STRAW, I see the hype now & I recommend!) WE WONT BE BACK TO SLJ's establishments. Step aside Susie there's a new Lady in town. Ordered Lemon Bar: 4.5/5 - Listen now am I biased and think I make the best lemon bars? Yes. But are these the closest second I've come too? Yes. The crust to filling ratio was perfect, with the crust being the best I've had - flaky, buttery, but not overtaking the filling. Now not everyone is going to like the consistency of this particular filling, its less custard and more jammy but that's how I like it. I also appreciate that there's a mini version of it because it makes the guilt cloud that stepping into a bakery would do for you. Plan Jane: 4/5 - It almost feels sacrileg to have basically a chocolate chip cookie wo the chips but probably a good idea to not call it one for starters haha. With that said I think this is such an interesting concept that I think once i get past the "i can't believe its not butter" then I think i'd be more about it. I have heard so much about this place and yesterday was the day for me to give the bakery a try. Walked in at 3:20pm and was greeted by a very nice lady name Stephanie. Even though on the receipt it has another person's name. She was sweet, helpful, pleasant with a nice smile. Place was clean, elegant, chic, and beautiful.. They had a lot of different options of cupcakes, cakes, muffins, cookies, candy, chocolates and some seasonal items. Beverages, hot and cold. She was quick to help me and I got a nice, big slice of their Triple Berry Cake that had Raspberries, Strawberries,& Blueberries. I also got 1 Matcha Strawberry Cupcake, and 1 Red Velvet Cupcake. Matcha was not good and, it was kind of old. I couldn't taste any strawberries in the Matcha cupcake. The icing on the cupcakes for both were very frozen and hard to bite into. It should be more moist. On the other hand, the slice of cake was very decadent, fresh, creamy and delicious! Place was very clean, didn't like their entrance. Too narrow to enter, was packed, and I don't think dogs should be allowed inside any restaurant or bakery. They also have an outside seating. A lot of photos of celebrities on the wall.. like Reese Whitherspoon, Kendall Jenner, Sophia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi..Just to name a few. Overall an ok experience. I was expecting a little more.. It was pricey for those 3 items that I got. Total came out to $28.50 including tax, & I didn't even get something to drink. No parking, street & metered parking only. Great location with very easy parking. The staff were really friendly and the place is really cute, so 5 stars for presentation. I love the chandeliers. I decided to come in because I had tried the triple berry cake before and enjoyed it (aside from the thick layer of frosting). I was really curious about their princess cake as well. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan. The princess cake was dry and I couldn't taste the jam at all. The thick layer of buttercream frosting was awful. The marzipan was good, but I had to scrape it off the buttercream to eat it. The slice was pretty big, but still not worth $14 to me. I also tried the salted caramel cupcake and the gluten free chocolate walnut cookie, and they were both really dry with little taste. I'm honestly really disappointed with this place. I have been to their Encino location many times but it was my first time here. There is no customer service here. I walked in I noticed there was a young man in the back room but he never came out, I looked at the pastries and walked out. Then I changed my mind and went back in ten minutes later to buy a cookie for my son. He was behind the cookie counter. No hello no welcome. I asked for a chocolate cookie to go so he placed it in a bag. While I was paying for it I said maybe I should get a latte to go and was thinking about it but after his unhappy facial expression I paid for my cookie and left. It was just him working at the time ... at least that's what it looked like. The store was empty ... I smelled this bakery before I even saw it! I had to find out where the delicious dessert smells were coming from and found this cute bakery. They have some seating inside but I got my dessert to go. I was greeted by a few friendly workers who were patient with me as I decided which cake I was going to pick. I ended up picking the Beverly cake. It was a bit pricey but honestly it lasted me like 4-5 days so it was worth the $13. The cake itself was good, although I wish there was more cake to frosting ratio. He assured me that he had plenty of chocolate chip cookies available as he had just baked a fresh batch. I told him that I was coming from Burbank just to try their cookies. When I arrived, another employee told me they had just ran out. I told him that someone I talked to on the phone assured me there would be cookies. That employee then said he would go check, so after waiting quite a bit, he ended up coming back and asking how many I wanted. I only wanted one. He came back with the cookie in the classic cookie bag but chocolate was everywhere and he didn't give me napkins either. There was no level of respect enough to at least put the cookie in a nice, fresh and clean cookie bag. I told him this was my first experience at Sweet Lady Jane and his energy was very nonchalant. So the customer service was definitely not above and beyond here. Cookie: I had the chocolate chip cookie and quite honestly, I was not a fan. The edge of the cookie was extremely overcooked and the cookie lacked flavor. The size of the cookie was great but it was definitely not my favorite in taste. Overall: Overall, this was my first experience at Sweet Lady Jane and although the size and price point of the cookie was fine, everything else was just not enough for me to have any interest in going back. Decided to give this a try when my sweet tooth began communicating with me in a very strong manner. I ordered a macaroon with the chocolate coating and a chocolate chip and cherry cookie via a delivery service. It all arrived nice and fresh, like me. I always arrive nice and fresh, but that's another story. The macaroon was good but very hard to control, falling apart-wise. But the cookie? Fantastic. The addition of the cherry is brilliant and it tasted like it had just come out of the oven. Definitely having that again, and probably I'll try the triple berry cake, which does look very appetizing, rather like me. But that's another story. Yuck! I ordered two slices via a delivery service, Mixed Berry and Coconut. I've honestly tasted much better cake from the grocery store than these two slices. The icing on the outside of the cakes was ok, but the inside seriously tasted like and had the consistency of playdough. Inedible. I ate some of the icing but threw away all of the cake.
