But this had to be the best experience I've ever had with a dentist/ endodontist! My regular dentist referred me to Dr. Weiner for a potential root canal. I had this procedure done by him 7 years ago at his office near the Hollywood area. He has since moved to the Plantation area which is very close to where I live = convenient. My tooth pain began while I was traveling in Seattle and I was worried that the pain wouldn't allow me to get back to do it here, but I'm so glad I was able to. I called the office as soon as my dentist diagnosed it as a root canal. Cathy, the office manager, was very kind even though it was close to 5 p.m. - closing time, to contact my insurance company to see if I would be covered, which luckily I was. And she was able to get me in the following morning. These days you rarely get customer service like this! She was really awesome! Entering the office you get a warm comfortable feeling with the decor, ambiance and friendliness of the staff. There's even candles in the waiting room and the bathroom to give you that calming feeling. The exam room is almost like first class on an airplane! There's a TV, they provide a headset in case you don't have one to connect your phone to listen to music or what have you. There's even a blanket if you're too cold with the air conditioning. A fluffy pillow to put under your neck which most dentist chairs don't have. And because I have a back issue, Melissa the assistant, even gave me a small pillow for support and ice packs. I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep! Dr. Weiner was excellent in discussing the procedure, asking questions and is very detail oriented which I totally appreciate! I really didn't experience much pain which is unusual for a root canal! The procedure was pretty quick and afterwards I even got a care package with a bottle of water, instructions from the doctor and an ice pack. The overall experience was wonderful and it was great to see Dr Weiner again after 7 years - which he called it... The Seven Year Itch! I informed your office of my medical history, including radiation treatment to the right side of my jaw approximately eight years ago. Despite this, no meaningful treatment was performed by Guillermo Cortez. I was left with the impression that Guillermo Cortes unwillingness to proceed with the extraction due to this history he was afraid Despite all his training. While I understand that prior radiation can complicate dental procedures, I expected either a clear treatment plan, proper referral to a specialist, or definitive guidance on how to proceed safely With the extraction using antibiotics to provide infection and careful monitoring of the gums after the extraction Instead, I left the appointments feeling that my time had been wasted and that my dental issue remains unresolved. No treatment was completed, no alternative plan was clearly established, and no referral was provided to address my condition appropriately. 7/7/2016 - Could not be happier with the professionalism of the staff and my doctor…read more I was having pain in my upper left molar when I went to have a cleaning at my dentist office. My dentist referred me to Dr. Lichstrahl's office. I called and made my appointment with ease. The day of my appointment I walked in and was greeted and given all the paperwork to sign. I was called to see the doctor. Dr. Lichstrahl's explained everything and he recommended I come back to take care of the root canal that was done in a couple of week. He gave me a script for antibiotics. I got a call a few days before to confirm. The day of, everything went smoothly. I have to say I hardly felt a thing. He has what my grandmother calls "Saint Hands." He did the anesthesia and I didn't feel a sting or anything. He explained what he was doing and asked how I was doing during the entire procedure. At times, I felt so calm, I almost fell asleep. This is a very professional office. They do a great job scheduling patients and communicating with them. Dr. Lichstrahl is fantastic.
