After almost a year and half, I finally found the time to write a very well deserved review for my photographer and florist (sorry it took me so long). I got married November 21, 2015 to my high school sweatheart at The GlassHouse in downtown San Jose. Dennis Dizon was our photographer and Aimer Eimer was our florist. Hands down, best duo ever. They gave me inspiration, creativity, and just so much love throughout the entire process. Not only are they great together, but they're awesome individuals too. I'll start off with Dennis. He shot our engagement photos and with the help of Kristen Guldner, they shot my wedding. From the moment we had a vendor meeting, we hit it off right away. Dennis was just so energetic and full of ideas, it totally inspired me and I couldn't help but be super excited. So it didn't take long for us to book him. My husband and I had plenty of ideas for our engagement shoot. Mainly we wanted to do something super edgy, similar to a modern day Bonnie and Clyde with more leather. Not only did Dennis get our creativity juices flowing, he totally delivered. Our engagement photos were seriously one of a kind, all because of his attention to detail. Til this day, everyone still talks about those photos! And that was just our engagement shoot! Our wedding was, of coarse, a lot softer and romantic. They turned out absolutely amazing, way more than I ever expected. He captured everything and brought it to life, so every time I look at the photos I relive that day. And that's one of the biggest blessings I can ask for. Dennis is seriously one of the most talented people I ever got to meet. Now on to Amy, she was referred to me by Dennis. Amy and I also hit it off right away. She is so easy going, super creative, and has a really great eye for detail. Not only was she my florist, she pretty much acted as my other wedding planner. She just loves to help and offers her expert advice. She made everything super easy and exceeded my expectations. Our venue, The GlassHouse is pretty much an open canvas and she filled that entire room with the most beautiful arrangements. When you walked in, all you notice were the flowers! So amazing...I couldn't believe it. Most of my guests were fighting over who would take the arrangements home, they were just that gorgeous. I have to say, picking a florist was one of the hardest parts of planning. I mean you realize how much you have to spend and if you're like me, you freak out a little. But when I met Amy she totally calmed my nerves. She made me realize the difference flowers can make and how they bring the entire wedding to life. She was so right, I have no regrets. She was able to work with me and still give me way more than I ever expected. I HIGHLY recommend them both, especially together!! They'll make your wedding planning that much more easy and fun! read more

Dennis did a great job taking engagement and wedding photos for me and my husband. He was super accommodating, responsive, and always provided great service. He met with us several times to talk about what we were looking for and what types of photos we liked. After our meetings, he was able to accomplish exactly what we wanted and provided us with great pictures to capture this special time in our lives. For our engagement photos, Dennis went above and beyond by providing us with 2 sessions. Even though we took pictures all day and already had a ton of good photos, we weren't able to get all the photos we had talked about so he gave us another extra session just to get the other pictures we wanted. On our wedding day, he stayed all day from 7am to 11pmish to ensure every moment of the day was captured. Even though the day was long, he was a trooper and never complained once. After our wedding, he quickly turned around some sneak peak photos since I was so anxious! Dennis is fun to work with and great with photography. I highly recommend working with him and booking him for your picture needs -- whether it be engagement, wedding, or family photos. read more

Dennis is my favorite photographer of all time! I am so lucky we found him as our memories of the day just wouldn't be the same if we didn't have his images. From the engagement photos to the big day he was there with us making magic happen with his lens. He is incredibly creative, has a genius eye and is super fun! He makes the process completely enjoyable. I don't mind being photographed, but my husband was a little on edge. Dennis put him at ease, moving quickly, making jokes and the end result is breath taking. I think my husband kind of liked being a star at the end of the day :) I urge all future brides who love working with fun people, want creative images, and will get a kick out of a sassy photographer to hire him immediately! read more

Dennis is an excellent photographer. He did a great job for both our engagement photos, and at our wedding. He was super-easy to work with, flexible, and had a lot of great ideas. We were concerned when the weather didn't cooperate the way we had hoped in SF for our engagement photos, but Dennis produced awesome photos and we were extremely impressed and pleased with the result. We were also very impressed with his work ethic - he was very confident with the photos he took, there was no wasted effort or time - he was extremely efficient and prepared. My fiance and I were referred to Dennis by her brother and sister in law because he shot their wedding and we absolutely loved his techniques. My fiancee was in the wedding shoot of her sister in law and brother's wedding in June 2015, so she got a feel for how he worked before we even knew we would be choosing him for our engagement and wedding photos later on. We loved exactly how he did all of his photos and how he uses his creativity. One year later, we had our engagement photo shoot in mid April 2016 and received all of our photos 7 weeks later. The first time I met Dennis was on my sister's wedding, he was their photographer as well. From that moment I know that once I get married that I wanna work with him. From engagement photo shoot to our wedding day he was so awesome and amazing. He knows how to make it fun for everybody. He was so professional and at the same time he knows how to make it fun. Our bridal party and our guest couldn't stop talking how great he is. I was so happy with our decision to hire him. Looking on our pictures, he justified the best day of my life. Dennis is incredible at his art. My now-husband and I had his help with engagement and wedding day photography - we chose to not have videography, so we relied on Dennis to capture an incredibly important and positively emotional day for us and our loved ones to last a lifetime. For the engagement session: we didn't go into it with a whole lot of idea what we wanted. Artistic creativity is not in my wheelhouse. All we had was a location that played a large role in our lives, showed up, and let Dennis lead the way. Don't be worried that you don't have a complete game-plan or loads of Pinterest ideas; Dennis to the rescue. And Amy! She's incredible and makes you feel so loved and taken care of. On wedding day in March: I applaud and am so appreciative of Dennis and team's relentless energy that helped guide the day along with excitement, fun, flexibility, and enough moments of sneaking away from it all to take it in. We start in the hotel, our best-man brought donuts, and I hope Dennis and team grabbed one to kick off the day right! Dennis was patient as we waited for my parents to swing by for their first peek, as time wasn't concretely set. They weren't in their party clothes yet but I cherished the moment. We moved onto Bollinger Canyon Fountain down the street from the wedding venue (Bridges Golf Club) and had a blast with first looks and bridal party. Some tourists wanted to get in on the fun, but he held down the fort! At the venue, magic happened (that is to say, everything went so quickly but so smoothly) with Dennis' professionalism and expertise, partnering with DJ and coordinators to make sure we looked and had the best. Being analytical by profession, I was captivated watching the creativity and ideas develop in the moment based solely on our surroundings - made every step of the way exciting, enjoyable, and of course the photos turned out wonderfully. Our wedding took place almost a year ago. I've been trying to write a review ever since. We planned for a very small intimate wedding and when it came to hired a photographer I really liked Dennis's work. I look into many different photographers in the bay area but I've always seem to come back to Studio Dizon. Dennis is really an excellent photographer with a really good sense of creativity and a way of making you relaxed when taking photos. I loved every photo of my engagement session and my wedding, so having him as my photographer was the best choice. Not only is he a very talented, professional photographer but also a really good guy who like any other event, sometimes things don't go as planned like it did in my wedding. Dennis was able to not only be there as my photographer but also help us deal with some problems that occur. Dennis went above and beyond to make our wedding special. I will definitely recommended him and i would hire him again. You will not be disappointed with his work and as a photographer. Where to begin with Dennis.... First of all, HE'S THE BEST! Dennis has a way of making you feel like you are his only client, even though it was peak wedding season and he obviously had many other couples he was working with.. we always felt important and taken care of! Planning a wedding is a complex task and given so many variables and decisions to balance, it can be very overwhelming. Looking back at the entire process, one the most important decisions we made was to hire Dennis. We were referred to Dennis from a friend and had met with many other potential photographers for our wedding before we met Dennis. We are an extremely picky couple when it comes to pictures -- as a couple we have always taken interest in photography and enjoy taking photos on our own adventures wherever we go. Having said that, hiring a photographer to capture one of the most important days of our lives was no easy task for us. We wanted a photographer who was talented, passionate, professional and had a great eye for the right shot ..which is why we were so happy when we met Dennis :) We live in San Francisco and were getting married in Sonoma but always knew we wanted SF to be the location of our engagement photos. We never told Dennis specifically what the style of photos we wanted but he was able to read us perfectly as a couple and capture such fun loving shots. Dennis spent an entire day in SF with us, having so many great ideas for location, props, backdrops, etc. It even started to rain towards the end of our day and Dennis stayed out in the pouring rain, getting soaked because he knew it would be an amazing shot... and it was! We felt completely comfortable during our long day of shooting mostly because it did not feel like a photo shoot -- Dennis made us feel comfortable and was not giving strict instructions or setting us up into different poses but rather letting us be ourselves, and with that produced seriously beautiful pictures. Our engagement shots to this day are some of our favorite photos of all time, he truly captured what we are as a couple and we will forever look back on that special time before marriage. Dennis was absolutely fabulous on the day of our wedding. He was on site with us for 12+ hours and ran back and forth to me and my husband to make sure he got each moment as it happened. Our wedding photos are amazing and we owe it to our excellent photographer. We will of course look back on these photos for the rest of our lives and we have Dennis to thank for that! Dennis was always very responsive, reliable, professional and such a FUN guy to work with.. our friends and family fell in love with him during our wedding and it was a blast to have him around. He also attended our rehearsal dinner and met some of our family the day before the wedding which was a nice touch to see him connecting with the people who meant the most to us. Dennis is an artistic genius and truly talented. We are extremely happy we hired him and had such an amazing photographer capture all of the moments of our wedding day. He was an absolute joy to work with before, during and after our wedding. He will not disappoint! read more

After picking the perfect dress, there is one important decision that should never be overlooked, photography of course! I knew I wanted to put a large portion of the budget towards photos, because who wants mediocre photos??? I know I didn't, and when I searched for photographers I fell in love with Dennis' work. You want a photographer to just "get it". I was completely awkward because I do not take photos and he sensed that I was uncomfortable at first. He gave me directions and models everything himself so you know that your photos will come out amazing. Dennis definitely has this eye for things, I just love his artistry! Most memorable moment is that he is not afraid of the shot, whatever it takes. Even if it means (lightly moving) ;) someone out of the aisle. All the guest and my family couldn't stop talking about how great Dennis and his team was. I will recommend him to everyone I know. Worth every single penny I paid. read more

Dennis was recommended to me by a good friend and I was extremely thrilled when I saw his sample photos on his website. I was looking for a photographer with the same quality that Dennis displayed, but all of them were overpriced. He offers different packages that were affordable and customizable depending on what your needs are. My husband is American and I'm Chinese/Vietnames. We were going to forgo the engagmet shoot so that we could have him be our photographer for our Asian wedding as well (which happened a year before our American wedding). But, Dennis insisted so that he could get an idea of how we look on camera and it also gave us a chance to get use to his style as a photographer. The pictures came out beautifully, we had so many compliments on how natural and great they looked. We ended up using one of the engagement photos as our 'save the date'! A few months after the engagement photos, we had our Asian wedding and Dennis was there capturing the entire day. The pictures were so vibrant and gorgeous, again we had tons of compliments for the candid and beautiful shots! We just had our American wedding 6 weeks ago and it was the HOTTEST day of the summer, 104-106 degrees! We had an outdoor wedding (ceremony and reception) in Morgan Hill which didn't help b/c it was 10 degrees hotter then in SJ. Dennis brought two assistants with him (even though our pacakge only had one assistant, he brought a second one to ensure we had everything covered, thanks so much Dennis!) He and his team were definitely troopers and we CANNOT wait to see our wedding photos! I can't say enough about how professional and creative Dennis is, he's easy to work with and I would and have recommended him to so many of my friends who needs a photographer! We are SOO glad we ended up with Dennis, it was one of the best decisions we made. If you like his style, then you will not regret going with him, the only probably is he gets booked up pretty quickly so make an apt with him ASAP!! read more
