Today was my first time at this salon, I was feeling a bit nervous as I had old & dry hair that was breaking apart. While it was long and pretty, it felt like such a heavy weight! I was greeted by Jasmine, who I felt had a similar energy to mine, she was friendly and asked me about myself, we ended up talking about Italy at one point. I also have some hearing sensitivities, so I liked that the music was low, and that the vibe was calm. She asked me what I wanted, and I explained what the trend is calling a "kitty cut", which is basically medium length, lots of layers, and a nice framing around the face, with curtain bangs. The bangs were a bit of an issue because I previously had them cut already, but it was fine. I never showed her a picture, and yet she got the cut PERFECTLY. When I stood up from the chair I was so so so happy, I made sure to tip her when I paid. I was so afraid of going somewhere more expensive (like in hollywood or beverly hills) and ending up with a cut I didn't ask for, so this place was great as the pricing was cheaper $80 (w/ 20% tip. I really didn't mind tipping.) The mirrors, however, need replacing. While very aesthetically pleasing, they're too tall and when you sit down you can only see the top half of your face. Regardless, I am really happy with the haircut!! 10/10 service!

So I literally left the salon with my hair all wet. I've never experienced such service in my life. I think that she needs to be more clear about her prices especially when I told her I only had 365$! Not mislead her customers and change the price while almost done with your hair !!! She claimed that the $50 deposit towards my service that she asked for was the extra $50 on top of my 365$ which makes no sense because if you're telling me that you want $50 deposit to book my appointment and then I get there and you want to act dumb and tell me oh no the 50$ is on top of the 365$ it wasn't for the deposit it was extra ! when clearly I have proof that she told me 365$ and then she wants to say oh mija it's because you have a lot of hair . I really wanted to like her too but after her lies I just can't. Once you tell a client a price you have to stick to your price.

I didn't feel welcomed at all. I had forgotten my wallet and needed to pay the deposit another way, so she offered to send me a payment link. I stood there waiting and mentioned I hadn't received it yet because I wanted to secure the appointment. Her response was, "Yeah, I'm doing it right now, you'll get it," but the tone came across very condescending and dismissive. I went home expecting the link shortly after, and now over 24 hours later, I still never received anything. Thankfully, I had a backup salon and was able to book elsewhere.
