I contacted my stylist, Michael, afterward and asked for a refund because I did not feel comfortable having him cut it again. I did not receive a response to my refund request. I'm attaching photos because they show the haircut better than I can describe it. I'm very disappointed both with the service and with how my concern was handled afterward.

I confirmed the price with her ahead of our appointment and once again during our consultation. I had also received a discount code from her that she said she would apply to the visit. Midway through our appointment while we were making small talk she abruptly informed me that she would be charging me more than what she herself had confirmed during the consultation. It came out of nowhere and was very disorienting. When I reminded her of the discount, she made something up on the spot about how the new higher price still reflected the discount. It was super shady and vague and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I could not leave because my head was wrapped in foil and bleach when she chose to announce this change. The color also did not come out the way we had discussed and she pretty much rushed me out of the chair while we were still within our appointment window and kept making passive aggressive jabs about how she had other clients coming in and how she should charge me even more. It's clear that she was disorganized and had not planned her schedule well and was taking that urgency out on her clients. I found the experience to be unprofessional and baffling and will not be returning.

Suspicious of both the friendly tone of the person on the other line, the easy availability to book an appointment, and the convenient location, I was pretty nervous walking into the first appointment. I've been burned before. Somewhere along the way, I've been programmed to think scarcity of availability for salons means they're better quality, since the appointments are seemingly more in demand. Thankfully, my nerves were quickly quelled. Emily was so kind, personable, and NORMAL. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable, the salon was welcoming and the color service? Phenomenal. There's a moment during a foil color treatment where you have no idea what you're going to look like in 10 minutes. Not a clue. It's a kind of stress and anxiety that's hard to explain unless you've already personally experienced the bowl rinse out after a color treatment. Wondering, have I just made a terrible mistake? This is my new spot. The foil came off, the rinse completed, and after the blow dry I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it. I looked..like...myself! The self I remembered from before kids! She made them feel humiliated, and treated them as if they were doing something wrong simply for comforting their upset child. She even went as far as calling security, claiming they were being disruptive because their child was crying. As a bystander, I was honestly disgusted. Watching someone speak to parents this way, especially when they were calmly trying to support their child, was deeply upsetting. Children have difficult moments, they don't always know how to regulate their emotions, and that's exactly when they need patience and compassion, not hostility. I cannot understand how anyone, especially someone in a position of responsibility, could behave in such a cold and unacceptable way toward a family in that situation. To the salon manager, just do better.
