As many other reviews have stated, nice showroom, terrible customer service ; was told more than once how many clients they have with little time to help. Too many times was told how busy they are, how many clients they have, how little time they have and even when calling in and them having a manager for me to go to, the manager told me she had no time and if I wanted a designer it would be weeks to get in. Commercial / residential designer approved! I can't say more good things about my experience with Studio 41. Working with Eric P. at the Naperville showroom was an absolute pleasure. Not only did he go above and beyond with helping me find the right selections and get accurate lead time / pricing, but I also felt I could really trust his word and recommendations which really saved me a ton of time in research. We ended up purchasing all Kohler products as I have had really great experience with them on past projects (more so than Grohe and Hansgrohe). Went in there yesterday not one staff member greeted us. I am shopping for a bathtub to do a remodel on my master bathroom. I even had out my tape measure and measured tubs as their is no signage on the tubs let alone a price. Even with a tape measure out nobody approached me. wow, our bathroom turned out beautiful! we ordered everything through studio 41 - but unfortunately i cannot credit them for the project. the sales rep i worked with was "one of their most experienced" reps, yet seemed to rush through everything she was multitasking on. first problem: our drain and tub hardware was going to be delayed. i found this out by calling to check in on my order. this kind of thing happens, i completely understand. i ordered that part from ferguson recommended by my repat studio 41... it came in 2 days. my only wish here is that she would have noticed it was delayed and called ME instead of the other way around. second: when we found out the above parts were delayed my rep said this could potentially happen with other products but that she'd be tracking everything and not to worry. she said that ONLY item she had no worries about was my freestanding bath tub. my mistake, i trusted that she would be tracking everything and a week or so before my project was to start i called again to make sure everything was on schedule. well guess what? the tub was VERY delayed. they ended up getting me a different tub (more expensive but gave it to me for the cost of the original). thanks studio 41! third: when the tub and drain actually arrived the two items COULD NOT be used together. my contractor and i both spoke to kohler and they explained that the two pieces were not a match but recommended a new drain that would, in fact, fit our tub. my very experienced and intelligent studio 41 rep INSISTED that the drain and tub would work together, even after kohler said that they do not. she even went as far as showing me the price book she ordered from...i am an inexperienced bathroom remodeler but i can READ: it clearly stated that what she was insisting was untrue. she never admitted the mistake. on top of that, when i piled my 1 and 3 year old in the car to pick up the new (correct) drain, my rep was not there and the rude receptionist had NO idea what i was talking about when i mentioned i was there to exchange my drain. at very least the new drain could have been ready and waiting for me but instead my two kids and i got to hangout in the showroom for 30 minutes. oh, and nobody offered me to carry it to my car even though my hands were clearly full. looking forward to our kitchen remodel with another company. will also not be recommending this to friends with similar projects. read more

Very disappointing experience. My husband and I showed up to renovate 2 bathrooms and wanted a one stop shop. We only had 2 places to go on our list, so there was a 50/50 chance we would book both with them. We both have very busy work schedules so we look for convenience over searching for the best price. With all that being said, we walked in and not one person helped us. One lady said hi from her desk and that's about it. We walked around the entire store waiting patiently for someone to help, but After 20 minutes of no service we left and moved on to the next location. read more

We are in the process of gutting and redoing two bathrooms. The Web site for this business is quite impressive and shows a very decent showroom. So, we went to check out some shower fixtures and sink faucets. The selection in the showroom is very fine. Trying to figure out brands/models/model numbers and prices ain't so easy. It is possible to determine the brand/brand name in some parts of the store, but not everywhere. Nowhere in sight is a model number or PRICE. To get this information, one needs to talk to a sales person. It must have been slow because a person did come by and ask if we needed any help. Of course, lady! There is nothing useful at the displays so, yes, we needed some help. The woman did get us model/pricing information on the two products we asked about, but let's say that we wanted information on several different products or a wall full of product. Would we have gotten help? Probably not. I also don't care to make any appointment when I am just looking. The excuse given for not labeling products with model numbers and price was because there is a retail, full list price, then one at which they actually sell the product, and there may be a contractor's price to consider and so on and so on and so on. RIDICULOUS! Other business with such showrooms DO show prices, full list and "sale" price. There is no need to hide the price. THERE IS NO NEED TO NOT SHOW BRAND, /MODEL NAMES, MODEL NUMBERS. read more

This summer we embarked on a major kitchen renovation; we have had success at Studio 41 on smaller projects so of course we went back. Arlene, as always was fantastic to work with. Once we narrowed down the sink and faucet, she worked closely with our contractor to be sure that delivery was on time (actually early) and everything went smooth. With that said a few days into use we noticed that the finish on the sink was starting to peel. A quick text with a picture to Arlene and she was all over it. The challenge was the sink was built into custom cabinets. Arlene was able to find a solution and spoke with the manufacturer Native Trails. They worked together and resolved the issue by replacing the sink with another that was the exact same size, to be honest it's nicer that the first choice. Arlene coordinated it ALL, with the contractor and the manufacturer so it was really not a burden to us at all. We so appreciate both Arlene and Native Trails for standing behind their products and service of Studio 41. We won't go anywhere else! read more

I have been purchasing all of my plumbing fixtures, cabinets and door hardware from Studio41 for more than 10 years. I have constructed two homes and have remodeled an entire condo. With limited background in construction, this was a difficult task, especially when it came to the selection of the interior options. I was overwhelmed by the vast selection of options, and I was not sure which would be ideal for our home. This is where I found Studio 41 to be of immense help. Studio41 has highly trained and knowledgeable staff on their team, and I had the pleasure of working with Arlene Wilford in the Naperville store. She is outstanding and very professional. She spent a good amount of time with me and my wife working to understand our needs, style and budget. After our initial meeting, she went to work on selecting items for our consideration, and once completed, she invited us back to the office to go over her recommendations. My wife and I were impressed with her selections and her attention to details. She knew exactly which ancillary pieces were required to complete the installation and was able to give us a comprehensive list. When we provided the list to our contractor, and when he had technical questions about the selections, Arlene volunteered to speak with the contractor directly. I have not seen nor experienced this kind of support with any other design store in the past. It is very refreshing to work with knowledgeable and experienced professionals. Arlene, along with her in-depth knowledge, experience, and customer service skills, made our home building/remodeling a pleasurable experience. We continue to work with Arlene and Studio 41 as we make periodic updates to our home. Working with Arlene was more than a pleasure and fun because she was so pleasant and patient. She knows the merchandise and gave us good reason why we should go with one particular strainer basket over another. My wife and I went to Studio 41 today and had a consultation for our master bath room. It was a very positive experience from the beginning. We had an appointment with Eric and he was very knowledgeable in helping us make sensible selections for our upcoming project. After spending 3 hours in the store we came out feeling more educated and satisfied with our purchases. We went to other vendors of this sort and none of them were as helpful nor did they have the selection available as Studio 41. Eric then referred us to Katie for cabinets and she was just as knowledgeable and helpful. The prices were on point. Customer service exceptional. Overall it was a great experience. I was compelled to write this one because i was very happy with the service and professionalism of Studio 41 and in particular my salesperson, Tammy Whitlock. We recently completed a major master bathroom renovation project and relied on Studio 41 for all of your plumbing related fixtures and supplies. We took our time with our selections and Tammy was patient and professional. Providing guidance and suggestions along the way. We visited several showrooms and reviewed hundreds of options on line. At the end of the day, we bought everything from Studio 41 via Tammy. She won our business with her knowledge and support and kept it with her competitive pricing. Everything was delivered on time as promised and there were no mistakes, etc. I would recommend Tammy and Studio 41. One last note ... several of the other showrooms we visited felt like they were doing us a favor talking to us. Over all the product was fine I was shorted components for my vanity and was also shorted some crown molding (2 inches on the last cut of a 27inch piece) which would have cost me almost $200 if not for some creative design by my carpenter. My issue was with the staff. My salesperson for my faucets and fixtures went on leave the day after I placed my order and everything went into limbo. No communication and bad communication when we did get it. Dozens of trips to get product that was and was not there we could never tell. I rate the product at 5 I rate the service at a 1 with an overall rating of 3. I would definitely rethink where I would purchase the materials for my next project. the total cost for my purchase was over $14K. I would think that for shorting me on crown molding they would have went on and sent that right on over. read more

Studio 41 does some amazing stuff. Hence why my wife and I went with them for our kitchen remodeling, but I have to say that I'm disappointed with my latest purchase from them. My wife placed an order with Studio 41 for some cabinets back in late July/early August and to this day that project still hasn't been completed. We've been given the wrong cabinets TWO times now, and it's looking like we won't be able to host Thanksgiving dinner which was not even a possibility in our minds when we placed this order back in July. Anyway, it's now November 20th and to this day we have not received even an apology, we were just told that we could expect to receive the cabinets within 10-15 days. I may not know much about the home design business, but I do know that as a customer who is paying thousands of dollars for your product, I will not come back to you for more business. Even if the product is nice, the horrible customer service make the entire experience a bad one. If I could, I'd give you zero stars. read more

We worked with Arlene Wolford from the Naperville location. We worked with Arlene on purchasing vanities for our master bathroom. Any questions we had Arlene would answer them immediately, next time she was in the office. She gave us estimates on anything we needed for our remodel project. We ended up purchasing our vanities through Arlene and she was really great about letting us know the timeline that they would be ready, setting up to have her warehouse hold the vanities until we were ready to install them, and setting up delivery of the vanities, etc... We even decided that one of the vanities was too big and Arlene worked with her manager to arrange that we receive a smaller vanity in exchange. We did have to pay a restocking fee but at least we were not out for the entire cost of the larger cabinet thanks to Arlene. When we received the new cabinet, we noticed the knobs were brass and not chrome. I contacted Arlene and she arranged so that the new knobs would be sent out right away in the chrome color. From start to finish Arlene made the process seamless. She truly was a joy to work with!!! I would recommend anyone going thru Studio 41 to request Arlene as your sales person. You won't be sorry!!! read more
