We give Littmen's a big thumbs up! After purchasing our home last year, it was time to update all the outdated lighting.  I thought it would be an easy process to just order online. Nope!  The more I looked the harder it became because I wasn't sure of fixture sizes to buy for our spaces. Our electrician suggested we go to Littmen Bros. Interiors. What a great suggestion!! From the moment we walked in the door we were so excited to see all the beautiful fixtures in person. We met and worked with Lisa who is outstanding. We showed Lisa pictures of all our existing fixtures  and provided room measurements to give her an idea  of the scale.   She said this will be fun! She gave us ideas on sizes to consider. Everything I liked initially was way to small.  Lisa was fantastic making sure we ordered the perfect size for each space. We purchased 5 fixtures: A foyer 12 drop amazing fixture, 2 lights for the cat walk which are gorgeous and look fantastic with the foyer lighting, a beautiful hand made crystal candelabra chandelier for the dinning room and a large two tone  round fixture for the laundry room. We couldn't be happier with our purchase! We are so grateful we found Lisa because she made the process fun and easy.  Our house looks fabulous!! We highly recommend Lisa and Littmen Bros. In this time where I have the ability to order on line I chose to go to this store to order my lights.The lights came and I was very disappointed and unhappy. I went back to return the $4500 lights and find something different. I was told that there is 25% restock fee and that the lights I chose are well made and I should be happy and perhaps I didn't understand the aesthetic. The reason I chose to go to a store was for customer service and to be able to see the lights. We ordered after only seeing pictures in catalogs and then received zero customer service. Save yourself the time and order on line. There is no benefit to going to this store I have to add that the designer I originally worked with Michelle Corrado is wonderful. This was my second time working with Littman Bros., two years ago I bought our bathroom lights, today I got a small fixture for our kitchen. One of the ladies (sorry I didn't get her name!) was extremely helpful helping me pick out a light for our tiny condo kitchen reno; I explained what I wanted and after looking at their wall displays she offered to get me a binder of other options they'd be happy to order for me. I wound up selecting something they had on display, and she was kind enough to ask one of the guys to take down the display model for me since I didn't want to wait for one to be shipped. This is a great time of year for renovations, since they had a sale going--I was given 25% of the cost of my lighting figure! read more

Amazing store and staff. They had a Minka wall control unit that no one else had available. If you are looking for lights you need to check them out, they will meet other places prices. The have a large selection of lights, fans etc in the store so you can see the finish and quality of a maker you are considering. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I worked with Lisa C the Director of Showroom Sales, and she clearly knows her lighting companies and is helpful with coordinating styles. I've been to Littman's several times and have been very happy with the product and service. However, I recently purchased a ceiling fan from them and was unhappy with how it performed and wanted to exchange it for another fan. I was told by the manager that it could not be returned! On the receipt it even states "returns for store credit only", which is what I wanted to do. Now I'm stuck with a fan I don't like! read more

I brought an LED fixture back to the store, out of warranty and hoping to get information on replacement parts as I hadn't heard anything from the store for several months. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the replacement fixture had been ordered some time ago and was in the store waiting for me to come in, as our contact information had changed and we were unreachable. What can I say? This place has it all. From the moment I walked into Littman Bros. (I went to the Schaumburg location) I was blown away. Their showroom is not typical. They showcase their exquisite lighting with beautiful quality furniture and other decor pieces. There are several things that set Littman Bro. apart from the others. Quality, selection, price, and willingness to work with their customers regardless of budget. I know I'm sounding like a commercial, but they're great!!! Seriously, go in and see for yourself. Customer service is lacking- Lisa showed me where the bathroom lighting was and returned to ask what I was looking for. I replied by saying satin nickel, which is when she said that what I'm looking for is hard to find. Instead, she could have showed me the options they offer instead of having me aimlessly look around. Then, without asking my budget or price point, she assumed my budget and pointed me in the direction of the more "reasonably" priced lighting. Littman Bros has a selection of gorgeous lighting fixtures ranging from traditional, to transitional and trending designs. This store had what I needed and Lisa was the best at helping me find what I love! When looking for a fixture for my family room I had an idea of what I wanted. Lisa approached me, asked a few questions to narrow down the options, and lead me to some items that could work. When she noticed I wasn't quite ready to make a decision, she opened a catalogue. And there it was! The perfect fixture! Not only did Lisa recognize what I loved, she also recognized that I would need help with the installation and provided me with contact information for the store's lighting installer! Highly disappointed. Your selection may be five stars but the customer service we received was one star. Went in looking for a specific lighting package however the sales lady chose to try and talk us into another lighting package instead. Based upon how we were dressed (jeans and tshirt) we were talked to like we couldn't afford to shop there. My whole experience here was just downright frustrating. At the end of December 2012, the main light (which happened to be a ceiling fan) in my kitchen stopped working. I was excited that I finally got to purchase a new fan, and one that wasn't a piece of chintzy garbage. I decided to support a local business by going to Littman Bros. Lighting. I ordered a Casablanca fan. Now, my husband thought that spending nearly $300 on a ceiling fan was ridiculous, but I convinced him that we were getting the Cadillac of fans. Three weeks later, I still hadn't received word about the fan. So I called them. They didn't have an answer for me right away. The next day I receive a voicemail. It turns out that the fan I ordered was discontinued, and according to Littman, Casablanca had neglected to notify them before AND after the order was placed. So, I ordered a different Casablanca fan. A more expensive one, but at the same price as the original one that ordered. I was told it would be about a week. TWO weeks later, I call again. They still don't have it. The guy calls Casablanca and is told that they'll be shipping it the next day, from Tennessee, and that Littman should have it possibly Friday. But if not Friday, then Monday. Now, at this point, I've been using sharp knives in a kitchen with inadequate lighting for well over a month. I told thim that I needed a light in my kitchen by Saturday, and that I needed a definite delivery date. He couldn't provide it, so we agreed that I'd come in on Saturday and leave with something in my hands. So, I come in on Saturday. The guy I talked to isn't available, so I end up waiting for about 15 minutes, before finally asking for help from another associate. She ends up selling me a ceiling light that they have on display. At this point, I don't really care WHAT I buy, as long as I can see in my kitchen again. I get the light home, and the next day my husband begins to install it. Well... Littman didn't give us the proper hardware, so the light ends up hanging an inch from the ceiling, rather than flush against it. So I still don't have any freaking light in my kitchen! I took back the dumb light today, and got a full refund. Yet another associate asked if there was anything that he could do to make it right. Free installation, 40% off, etc. I said no. At this point, there is nothing that could possibly make me want to ever buy ANYTHING from them ever again. read more

While their prices were very competitive, I was disappointed with the lack of updates while I waited for my lighting order to arrive. The order took 3 months to fill. The manufacturer was unable to supply the track lighting kit which I understand is not the fault of Littman Bros. But the only status updates I received were when I called. I would have preferred that Littman Bros called me to provide updates. I am pleased with the lighting and would do business with Littman Bros again but would inquire about expected wait times for special orders. read more

I visited Littman Bros Lighting several weeks ago as I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Given the current pandemic, I sought out a local business to support, even if I could find a cheaper price online. What prevented me from making a purchase was that the staff member that approached me didn't wear a mask and made no attempt to put one on when approaching me to discuss their sale items. As a business, I would have assumed that the health and safety of staff and customers would be of utmost importance, particularly during this time. I left the store disappointed and ended up purchasing from a big box store, where very clear and specific guidelines have been put in place to protect staff and consumers. read more

Littman Bros is lovely. Aspirational. Expensive. If I came upon a big bag of cash and was told to spend it at Littman Bros, I'd be delighted. Their chandeliers, modern lighting, fans and bit of furniture are all super cool. Be prepared for sticker shock AND a sore neck from looking up at all the shiny, glittering goodness. I popped in here to take a look around and possibly search for a modern but simple foyer light. Unfortunately, I think I'm better off hitting up Home Depot for said item, because the offerings at Littman Bros are much more complex. I think I'm still far away (both in mind and age) from plunking down $5k on a (stunning) dining room fixture, but if I'm ever in the market for something super cool but higher end, I'll come back to Littman Bros. read more

Purchased online. Website indicated the fixtures I ordered were in stock and ready to ship - they weren't. Its been 2 weeks and still no delivery. Customer service not very helpful. Have received emails indicating items are to be shipped and will receive a tracking number, but days later no response, no tracking number. Have called but told the "internet" rep is not there and the showroom employees do not have access to the same information. Chicago-area probably ok since showroom there, but beware ordering online.....not efficient and very poor communication. Will not use again, just hoping I get my fixtures as my bathroom remodel is 95% done and waiting on Littman Bros. read more

I purchased a lighting fixture at the Schaumburg location and they asked if I wanted LED lights to be included in the purchase. I said yes. LED are supposed to last a long time, but after about a year, one of the lights began to flicker. I took the light in to ACE to be replaced and the person waiting on me said that the light I bought had been discontinued for years. That means that the lights that Littman sold me were very old and they wanted to get rid of old merchandize. I bought the new bulb and contacted Littman about this and the store person said that it must be the ACE person who was wrong. I have purchased at ACE for many years and trust them more than I do Littman. My recommendation is if you buy a fixture at Littman, do not buy their bulbs. BTW, they were more expensive than if I had purchased them at a hardware store. read more

Littman Brothers is worth the drive! I buy a lot of lights online however now I'll only go to LB. They went above and beyond with their customer service, had a price that couldn't be beat and even worked on my chandelier to make it fit perfectly with my dimensions. This lighting company has beautiful very expensive lighting fixtures however, you can find a better deal at another lighting company. The sales person Lisa was very rude and was hard to get in touch with once I purchased my fixtures. I bought only half of the lighting fixtures I needed because I could not deal with their sales person "Lisa". Also, it took months to receive some items. They have a return policy but, by the time they charge you for the electricians time it is more than the fixture you are purchasing. Be careful. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Purchased over $10K in lighting fixtures & fans for my last home & now my new home. A fan stopped working, called & left message for Dave, waited 3 days & no call back! Called again, women said she would order part & it should be available within a week. Two (2) days later, women called me & said they couldn't find my order in their computer, gave her date I registered fan. She wanted to know color of fan..... what difference does that make, the part I needed was in the ceiling!!! Unfortunate experience. I placed an order for a pot rack and added some sconces to qualify for their free shipping. I then got an email a day later saying the pot rack was discontinued. Ok, no problem. I told them to cancel the order, I didn't want the sconces without the pot rack. They decide to ship the sconces instead. Then they charge my card for the full order, even though they shipped just a part of it. That was just the beginning of the mess. They are a drop shipper and not a very organized one at that. read more

2 stars is for the price and inconsistent customer service. When we built our new house a few years ago I had them bid all of the lighting. They were $1200 more than the lowest bid for the same identical lights. We ended up going with Galleria in Naperville. Gorgeous showroom and endless options, great customer service and reasonable prices. There is nothing in this place that can't be found somewhere else cheaper. My advice is shop around and get the best deal. My experiences in the actual store have been mixed--from no customer service to good customer service. read more

After too many years of living with the awful contractor bright brass fixtures in my house, It's time for a change, and based on a recommendation from a friend, I stopped by Littman. Their selection is pretty bewildering, to the point where you can barely see the trees for the forest, if you know what I mean. With everything from modern to classic and in between, you can probably find what you want. The prices were...not crazy, but not cheap either. I don't really know what stuff like this should cost, and while I didn't buy any $11,000 chandeliers, I made it out with a couple replacement items without too much damage to the checkbook. Staff were helpful, pointing out a reasonable range of things to cut down on option overload. My one complaint is time - it definitely took about a month to get items in, when originally it was "1-2 weeks." Not that it mattered, I wasn't actively needing them. Now I just have to resist going back to replace the rest of the awful lighting in my house. read more

RUN TO A DIFFERENT STORE! I wish you could give negative stars, because this place deserves it. EVERY interaction was negative, disappointing and the worst customer service from every employee interaction I have ever experienced! I have never written a yelp review yet this experience motivated me to help other consumers out there. I was completely ignored the first time a walked into the store with my husband even though I was told numerous times I was going to be helped. After 30 minutes of waiting we left. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and we went in a second time. This time I was helped even though the sales assistant acted like she was doing me a favor by helping me. After over 3 weeks of no phone call about my order ( I was told would take 7-10 days) I was wondering what was going on and if it was in. NOPE part of it was backordered until October. Was the staff going to wait until then to call and tell me??!!! I decided to pick up the other lights I ordered and when I did it got worse from there. Again, another girl at the front desk was rude and fought me about my order they got wrong and had a major attitude. Also I prepaid and had to remind them they needed to reimburse me $400 for the light that was back ordered and received an eye roll when I said that. Then the boxes came and were all beat up. And the sales girl asked if I needed help carrying the lights to my car?!!!! Are you freaking kidding me???!!! You want me to carry all 4 of those giant boxes to my car? Whatever school of customer service the employees in this business went to they should have gotten a failing grade and not been passed to work in the real world. You are better off ordering from Wayfair. It will save time, money and the headache of dealing with the arrogant and rude staff. read more

I just recently gave this place a second try because a couple of years ago when I was looking to purchase a chandelier I went to them and had a bad experience. I thought, "Well, maybe the salesperson had a bad day and I'll give them a second try." My husband and I walked in and looked around the showroom. There were two other couples in the store. A salesman approached us after about 20 minutes of our looking at ceiling fans and sconces. When I told the man that I was looking for ideas to light up our living room (i.e. was looking for design help and to purchase), he couldn't have expressed less interest in helping had he tried to. Each question that I asked was answered with one word responses. When asked the manufacturer of one of the fans, he responded that it was "Mienke and that they only carried top brand fans." I kid you not, this guy acted like a snotty little teenager - he was so uppity. When I told him that my house was small so I wanted a smaller fan, he suddenly had something that he had to do and excused himself. We never saw him again. After another 20 minutes of wandering aimlessly around the store, a saleslady approached us. By that time, my husband and I had had enough and were walking out the store. Sometimes sales people have a bad day. I get that. Sometimes I'm having a bad day and I take it out on the sales people. It happens. But when your first impression stinks and your second and the sales person's attitude is verified by your husband, you're right on target. Don't waste your time at this store. They're jerks and quite frankly, I can't begin to understand how they stay in business. Hello Horton's - where you can get real customer service. read more

GREEDY - return policy nonexistent. We had in mind a simple LED conversion of one of our halogen kitchen lights. They were the only ones who handled our manufacturer. The conversion with the parts cost over $400, for not even a complete fixture, just the LED parts. Our electrician stated we were MASSIVELY overcharged. They also threw in extraneous parts that we were billed for. Purchasing a whole new fixture would have cost us less than $100. On top of that, those extra parts I spoke of, well they have a NO REFUND NO RETURN POLICY. I drove over 20 miles to do the return only to get brushed off! NEVER AGAIN read more
