My first time to an eye doctor since I was a kid. It was the best experience I could have asked for! The receptionists were wonderful and so was the doctor. Dr. Dubick really took his time with me and explained what I needed, and the reason why. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the lady who helped me choose my glasses, but she has a pixy cut and was very knowledgeable and really catered to my taste. Took my daughter to see this doctor on a recommendation and the fact that they took my insurance. My daughter was going to college in three weeks and needed new glasses. I was assured we woudl get them in time. The eye exam went well - we ordered the glasses. And since then I have had the IDENTICAL problem which was noted in another review. Low and behold three weeks went by and I was given the run around that they had received the glasses but there was a problem with the lenses and they had to send the glasses back to New Jersey to be fixed (why I couldn't have just taken them to lenscrafter is beyond me but they wouldn't let me have them). It has been 3 more weeks and I STILL do not have the glasses. They are giving me the run around. I truly believe that they get a better price in bulk and hold people's orders till they have a quantity and then send them to their mystery lab in New Jersey. I will NEVER purchase another pair of glasses here EVER again. I told them at this point that if the glasses are not in I want to be refunded the money and will send my daughter to Lenscrafters in her college town. I would be more patient if I had not read a review from someone with the same problem. Obviously this is an ongoing issue with other customers also. read more

I have to echo all the sentiments here about Dr. Dubrik - his demeanor with me was condescending, rude, offensive and made me feel old, like I had abused my eyes and my future eye health was all my fault. How can he do that to people who come to him for help? I'm moving on from here, though I like the location and I'm going to like my new glasses (I think). read more

I have gone to Studio Eyes for several years and my experiences with Dr. Dubick have gotten progressively worse. I feel I was forced into continuing with transition lenses when the first pair weren't working. I was lectured about being "old" when I had tearing of my eyes. I then went to another eye doctor (a real ophthalmologist/optometrist - A Center for Vision Care) and was properly diagnosed and given proper glasses. I can see again! I had no idea how dismissively I was treated by Dr Dubick and Studio Eyes until I went to another doctor. read more

Went in for a basic eye exam hoping that I wouldn't need glasses/contacts at the end of the day.I didnt! After not having a proper exam since childhood this was fairly routine and long overdue. Dr Shuham was nice and thorough to a first time patient. The only minor suprise my insurance didn't cover the digital retinal eye exam (Optomap vs. Dilation) so wasn't entirely expecting that added expense but all in all it was worth it. read more

I used to like going to this place. I've seen Ellen Shuham in the past and have had enjoyable experiences. When she wasn't available, I saw Frank Dubick and found him to be the most insensitive doctor I have ever encountered. He was so rude that I walked out of there without half of the information I set out to obtain and I didn't feel comfortable asking him any of the questions I'd prepped for the appointment. During my last visit, I was hesitant to go with his recommendation for my eyes and he belittled me and insulted me. I make it a practice of abstaining from writing online reviews. However, the exceptional care I received from Dr. Dubick and the StudioEyes staff compelled me to share my experience. I have long suffered from a relatively rare progressive eye disease that causes an extreme coning astigmatism of the cornea which makes it incredibly difficult for even the most worthy optometrists to ascertain the appropriate prescriptive lenses that will adequately meet my corrective needs. By way of example, most people who suffer from the same eye disease are forced to utilize glass contact lenses or risk expensive developmental-stage surgery. Diligent, insightful, and thorough do not begin to describe Dr. Dubick. The care and treatment I received was simply put, above and beyond. Dr. Dubick's initial examination was beyond detailed and he took the time to explain all of my options, answer my questions, and (most important from my point of view) actually listened to my concerns and understood my treatment goals. Thankfully, with the help of Dr. Dubick's experience, talent, and dedicated work ethic, my eyes have remained stable for years allowing me to correct my vision in the manner I desire. When you go to your Dr. You want to be treated with respect as a human being but not as a Dollar Sign. If he look at you that you look that you are not wealthy enough, then the Dr. treats you undesirable or with contempt. I do did not look as wealthy enough that the Dr. Drubick was unpleasant to me. She worked with me to order a specific pair of frames and when they were backordered for several months she put up with all my emails requesting "status updates." She was super awesome working with my insurance, making sure my prescription was correct, and then sending me the frames because I don't live in the area. The young lady at the front desk answered the phone right away and when she answered she actually wanted to help me and not just put me on hold or try to make my call as short as possible like many other places do. She checked my benefits and scheduled my appointment within like 2 minutes. She was very thorough. She was also very polite and knowledgeable. I have never had customer service ever like I have at StudioEyes! I was also very impressed with my visit. Everyone knows what they are doing and it seems like every person there helps you in one way or another. There isn't one person just trying to do everything. It was my first visit to this facility, and the parking was street. Everything went well, the customer service was great. The last phase was to see the doctor, that's where I was little upset. To me this doctor D(last name) seemed little rude or not sure if this is the way he talks. But he definitely needs a lesson of how to talk to his patients. I hope his assessment in prescribing me new glass works, but that still needs to be seen. I felt like just walking out from the chair where that doctor was treating me. Never seen anyone like this before, and I think it has something to do with personality conflict. I didn't say anything to him, that would be the total waste of time, and I really didn't want to create a scene. I was waiting to see when I can write a review in YELP.
