Love the ambiance in this place. The decor was perfect for the theme. Was an easy process to get signed up and pay. $25 pp for an hour and had lots of fun. The lady at the front desk was super friendly which makes for a great time...Something new to experience. Shout out to our instructor Andy for helping me get my step down. He had a great attitude and was very friendly. Your step makes a difference. If your out of shape it could be a small workout for your arms. Looking forward to going back. Oh let's not forget the music was 100% on point. Couldn't stop dancing the whole time. Bathrooms were clean also!! Have Fun!

I visited here on a Friday night with a group of 8. We had a reservation and we were celebrating a birthday. I loved the setup and decor throughout the location; it's super cute! I was nervous about participating because I'm prone to accidents haha. Before starting, they give a quick, thorough crash course and inform of the rules. The staff member working with us was extremely friendly and informative. He even checked in on us throughout the night and helped a few of our friends with identifying how to better throw the axe. It was all very much appreciated and led to most hitting bull's eye (except for me of course - I never even got it into the wood lol). This location is BYOB (wine and beer only) and you can bring your own food as well. They provide ice, cups, and beer/wine openers. I saw a little snack bar but no attendant there so I'm not sure if it was not open or if we just needed to flag down a staff. Aside from hatchet throwing, they have large connect fours and large jenga in certain areas as well as foosball near the bathroom which I thought was cool. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. We had a great experience. The birthday girl got a piece of wood that said "Happy Birthday" with her name on it. They also gave us markers so that all her guests could sign it. We were also able to cut her a cake while there. Each post has a couch and high tables nearby for everyone to hang out. I highly recommend Stumpy's if you're looking to experience hatchet throwing!

Summary: A great place for groups, parties, and to get that anger out! This is apparently the original Stumpy's. Love all their decor! Their staff are awesome! The throw ranges at this location were a little cramped though... Came here for the first time with some friends and we had a blast! Our throw master was funny and so helpful! He taught us the basics and then left us alone, checking in every now and then. We had a group of 9 people so it was $40/person for a 2 hour slot. I've been to other hatchet throwing places and did not expect this place to be so cramped with little room to stand and hang out. It may have been that our area was unfortunately small, but it was just a little claustrophobic. You can bring your own drinks and snacks and they provide your group with a huge bucket of ice. They sell snacks like individual-sized chips and such but it's probably better to bring your own. They also have large table games like Jenga and connect 4. Everytime someone gets bullseye, you gotta ring the bell to brag!! We had a great time and I highly recommend them for your next gathering or event! Hopefully other areas inside are not as cramped, I didn't get a chance to walk around and look.

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Hubby and I came here before date night and we enjoyed axe throwing for an entire hour! We booked it online. The wait time wasn't too long and we were escorted in pretty fast, we signed a waiver form, and then we were given some safety instructions for a few minutes. All in all a good experience. Dangerous but fun! Will surely return!

It was my first visit here I had decided to bring my sister as a birthday treat and we had an awesome time . I will admit is wasn't as easy as I thought to get the axe to actually hit bullseye. After about 15 minutes we kind of got the hang of it . Although we didn't get it on the wall often it was definitely fun trying. My arm got pretty sore trying to. Lol. Definitely has great vibes in there and great music . Staff was super friendly and gave you some pointers before your started. Also gave you some safety tips to follow so better listen up for your safety. Although it was just me and my sister we had a great time and I'm sure if you have a big group of friends it would probably be even better. Thanks for a great night and we will definitely be back.

My 2 friends and I came here just for a get together since we hadn't seen each other for a while and we had an amazing time. Andrew was our "coach" he was great (all the staff there was very friendly). He explained the rules and throwing techniques. He kept an eye out for us throughout and if he saw we were having trouble he would give us some recommendations on how to fix our throws or introduce us to other types of axes. I liked that every group had their own throwing section you, didn't have to share with another group. They also had games available such as jumbo jenga and foosball in case you wanted a break from throwing axes. This was a great experience, next time I'm in the area I'll be sure to check them out again.

I am on the board of #ILEA NJ and suggested to go to Stumpy's for our monthly gathering. The entire team and those who joins our event had such an amazing time! The staff were super friendly and helpful. It is great that it's a BYOB place so you don't have to spend extra money for drinks. They have also worked out a deal with next door pizza place for $2 personal pie on Thursdays! $2 pie? Can't go wrong. I would highly suggest this place for your next team building, corporate outing, batchlor or batchlorate parties or just a fun evening with friends and family. You'll be surprised how much fun you'll have, even if you are not into this kind of things! Hope this helps, would love to hear your experience when you go there...

A total blast! Have never been to a hatchet-throwing facility, but after this visit, will definitely be back. The staff was really helpful, and our "coach," Andrew, was funny and very attentive after he gave us the instructions and watched us throw for a bit. BYO wine and beer (a strict "no hard liquor" policy) and they have tables for you to set up food and snacks.

I had a good time here. You reserve in advance for 2 hours. Good for a big group. It's also BYO, and they put whatever you bring on ice. You can also get food brought in from a nearby restaurant. You get a little intro and lesson prior to "Axe"ing and then they leave you alone. I think it is overpriced at $40.00/person +tax for what you get.

Well first time axe thrower here. Excellent instruction and tips how to throw the axe. He stayed with us till we felt comfortable. Went during covid and very clean with plastic between cages. Saw them wiping down credit card machine and door handles! Would go back again! Amazing you can order food and have it delivered or bring your own. Great place to hang out if you want to try something new. It's a BYO beer and wine only!

We came here Saturday night after dinner for my birthday and it was SO much fun! Anthony was our throwing coach and he was awesome. So helpful and nice! Very cool atmosphere, common areas with other games, clean, nice bathroom, etc. Definitely want to come back! Recommend making a reservation just in case! :)

    Our awesome coach!!

We had a blast! It was many of ours first time and our awesome coach (pictured here!!) was incredible. The place was adorable and spacious. We also had fun with all the other little mini games scattered around. Would absolutely come back!

The two of us went to the Amazing Escape Room in Green Brook for the first time. It's located in a shopping plaza on Route 22 with plenty of parking available. They have 5 different rooms to choose from with varying levels of difficulty. All rooms are private so it's just you and your party - no strangers. You book a room and time slot on their website. It's $33 per person with a maximum of 8 people. There's a $3 booking fee per person as well as state tax. One major con is that they have a 4 person minimum on weekends (Friday 3pm-Sunday 3pm). You can still play with less than 4 people, BUT you're going to have to pay a flat rate of $132 no matter what. I'm not a fan of that at all. Our reservation was for 5pm on Saturday. We were greeted by Erick, who was also our gamemaster. He checked us in and explained all of the rules. We did the Illusionist (magician theme), which had a 40% escape rate. You have one hour to escape. The room wasn't anything fancy or high-tech like some other ones, but still very creative and challenging. It was dim, so we had to use our phone flashlights at times. Erick was very helpful, patient, and had great communication with us during the entire game! You get 3 clues that are provided on a screen. He gave us bonus hints when we were struggling, which we appreciated. He even extended our time by a few minutes. For the most part, I thought that the puzzles and clues flowed well together. We wasted too much time on one puzzle that could have been executed better, but oh well! Sadly, we did not escape... we were 3 challenges away :( It was still a lot of fun! They do offer 50% off if you want to try the same room another time as a redemption. After you play, you can take photos in front of their backdrop with funny props. If you're looking for a fun team-building activity, I definitely recommend escape rooms! Just choose the right people and don't lose your cool ;)

The hike was a moderate trail with some bigger hills up and down and a lot of rocks to watch your footing on. After the hike we were all hungry and ready for some beer. We stopped at Jersey Girl brewing where we all had flights and got a little tour of the place where all the action happens! The only criticism I have is with the lunch. It was very simple: chips, pickles, and homemade sandwiches with meat and cheese. There were a few vegetarian options but it was very heavy on the bread overall. Unless you are medically unfit, you can do this. Exceptional customer service sums up the team at Jim Thorpe River Adventures (aka LOC). They are extremely well organized which makes for a great trip. Everyone from the moment you enter LOC until the very end was polite, professional and wanted to make sure you have a great time. Some tips to follow: you only need to arrive 15 minutes before your group time, this allows ample time to get situated. Buy their pre-made lunch, it is well worth the 10 bucks, bring extra water on the raft (especially in the summer). Use the bathroom before you get on the bus (and be quick). They give you a dry bucket for your lunch and items, yes you can bring your phone in a dry pouch. Wear a hat and a sun shirt, it is hot and sunny, without much shade. Jump in the water when you have the chance !! If you are a "full figured" person it will be difficult to re-enter the raft, be aware. The trip down river is very safe and well organized. The guides are VERY safety aware ! If you are nervous and listen to them, the team will get you down the river without a hitch ! A few suggestions: don't go on a busy holiday weekend, it can get crowded on the river, the safety briefing takes a long time and you a sitting in the sun (remove your vest and drink water), during July and August I would imagine the water is very low and slow (if it is a dry summer)...best only if you want to have a relaxing rafting trip. Overall, a bunch of fun. The entire family had a great time.
