Could be all the wine in me talking (though I don't think so from the way everyone was chowing down), but this was some Grade A BBQ! Pulled pork was laced with sauce - sweet, sticky, not the least bit dry... the spare ribs were so tender, Smokey and flavorful and honestly not a whole lot of fat... and the brisket, well it melted in your mouth. Honestly - just way too good! Drinks. Food. Service. Company - 10 for 10!

Coming in on a Tuesday night, the place was busy and the wait was about 30 minutes -- but there was free seating at the bar. Fair enough, not many restaurants were even open in Geneva on a Tuesday. The food was solid -- nothing extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either, and the presentation on those big plates is genuinely fun. The lady bartender had her hands full preparing drinks while also serving everyone seated at the bar, including food orders. It was sometimes hard to catch her attention, but overall she did a great job juggling it all. What really bothered me: the owner (CB) is one of the few Master Sommeliers in the world and a big promoter of the FLX wine region (which I love), so can anyone explain why a glass of FLX wine costs about 40% more than a glass of California or even Australian wine? That's not exactly "Think NY, Drink NY" -- despite those charming stickers around the restaurant (which I do love).

The kids tried broccoli salad had a nice flavor but I had mostly the hard parts and not much the flurets. Mac and cheese was good, salt potatoes are assume. My husband liked the slaw, thou he likes it with pineapple. He was not overly thrilled with mac salad. Drinks I tried were the blueberry smash. Very tasty. Not that thrilled with the peach drink that was 25 dollars. But I drank it. Tastes more like a Ice tea drink. Service is good. They take your order at the bar with a designated area to wait in line. Give you a buzzer to pick it up at the window. They have a condiment area to get soda, utensils, sauce sides and so on. They have seating inside and out side. You can play with games they have set up. Inside it decorated with old and new signage. They have a book of bourbon selection. Bar stools chairs and tables, booths and high top tables. People clean up after themselves. Kid friendly. People are friendly. Most of the times we went they were busy or at least a steady flow of customers. If you get a chance to stop here to eat you will not ve disappointed!!

They have plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a cozy bar feeling. Still, we didn't have a long wait to place our order. We tried the 1/4 lb platter. With fries and potato salad. The pulled pork was amazing. Great flavor and very tender. The smoked sausage was as good as any smoked sausage I have had in upstate NY. The chicken was also very tender and had a good smoked flavor. The ribs had a lot of flavor and were not over cooked like some places do. The brisket.... Was brisket.... Maybe it wasn't made today which is fine. It tasted more like a roast than a brisket. My wife and I differ on our opinions of BBQ houses. I like to try the meats before I put any sauce on. My wife like it covered beforehand. This place doesn't smother it but does put it on before I got a chance to try the meats. The potato salad was ok but not bursting in flavor. The pieces in it are cut fairly large. It was ok. Fries are fries. A little over salted. But they did have malt vinegar. We might try this place again.

Ordered some corn nuggets to share, and then our entrees. My pulled pork on my sandwich was perhaps a bit fatty for my liking, but otherwise had a bit of smoke to it... and a little bit of bark on the ends. Probably could have used more sauce though. Service, food, and overall ambience were all fine... no complaints, but the place is very no frills. I wouldn't necessarily make a special point to visit again, but it was an easy option and I'd be willing to try a couple other options on the menu.

I preordered a full rack of dry rub spare ribs from this business in the afternoon last Friday…read more Around 4 pm I picked up my order. I ordered dry ribs with the barbecue sauce on the side. What I received was a rack of cut ribs in a tray covered in sauce. A short time later I decided to try the ribs while they were still warm. What I discovered was that the bark on the top side of the rib to be burnt. I fought to chew through them because I was pretty hungry. That explains why the burnt ribs were sold to me covered in sauce and not as I ordered. There was some meat on the underside of that rib that I was able to consume. I called the carry out restaurant and spoke to the owner and advised him of my experience. I asked him why my order was covered in sauce and not as I ordered them. I also told him that I believe the sauce was meant to cover up the burnt bark, He disagreed with my opinion and told me to return the uneaten ribs and that he would refund the cost of what I hadn't consumed. I was not about to drive from Lancaster into the city to return a 1/3 rack of ribs, that didn't make sense to me. Normally, I wouldn't care, but the ribs were very expensive at $42.00. Just want to let other folks know to check their order before leaving the establishment. UBBQ4me NO MORE!
