I recently picked up my vehicle from Sturbridge Auto Collision and had a very disappointing experience. After getting my car back, I found that my center console had been gone through and items were missing, including a full cup of change (mostly quarters) and a pair of sunglasses. This was not the condition of my vehicle when I dropped it off. When I tried to address the issue, I had to call multiple times and leave several messages before getting a response. It took repeated attempts to reach the owner. When I finally did, I was told there was no reason for anyone to access the center console and that their employees would not do such a thing. Rather than showing concern or willingness to look into what happened, the response felt dismissive and unsympathetic. I was also told the paperwork I signed protects them from any responsibility for missing items, while they denied any involvement and said they had photos showing the car, including the center console, untouched, even though they also stated there would be no reason for anyone to go into it. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication, lack of urgency in returning calls, and lack of empathy or effort to investigate the situation in a meaningful way. Unfortunately, my insurance required me to use an in-network repair facility, so I had little choice but to use this shop. Based on my experience, I would think twice before leaving your vehicle in their care. Fortunately, I had already removed most of my belongings. read more

Massive scam artists. I'm really disappointed with the services I've received here multiple times. I tried giving then the benefit of the doubt. The first occurrence of unethical business was when I brought my car in for a simple repair, and without asking the mechanics performed an oil change and charged me for it without ever asking my permission. I figured this was just one bad call. The second instance was that several months later when I DID bring my car for an oil change, the owner tried to convince me that because I was behind on my oil changes, that my oil pain was damaged and leaking....I told him not to touch it because I knew this was untrue. Of course later I confirmed the oil pan was fine. The last and most horrible case was recently. I hit a pothole and got a flat tire. I had my car brought here and told them what happened. The owner calls me to tell me that I need 2 new tires, a new rim, a bearing, an alignment, and a control arm. His total was ~ $1700! Since I knew this price was outrageous I took my car to a different mechanic. This new mechanic proved that the only thing the car needed was a new tire and rim. They triple checked the bearings and control arms and said they were fine. My total was only $300. STAY AWAY from this place. I can't help but think the constant lying about what I needed and over charging for services is an attempt to take advantage of a young woman who they assume "doesn't know any better". read more

We got a screw in our tire 100 miles from home. First place we went to refused to help us. Said they were too busy. I called Sturbridge and the gentleman gave me directions and said come right over. He was busy also but took the 7-10 minutes to fix my tire so we could safely return home. I am so grateful for their kindness. If they treat a stranger passing by with such kindness I can't imagine how they would treat their loyal customers and neighbors! Highly recommend! read more

Great Place to take your car. I spotted in for an inspection and they discovered that there was a problem with the front left suspension of my car. Gave them my mustang for one day, and they stayed open after hours to make sure it would be done in that one day. It was fairly cheap and had great customer service. Definitely recommend them to others! read more

After more than 3 years bringing our family vehicles here I can't help but feel ripped off by Gabe and crew. We took my husband's 2013 GMC Terrain with 80k miles here after it was having some issues bucking and couldn't pass inspection because of the check engine light. We were told by several experts it's possibly the transmission or O2 sensors so we asked Gabe who we trusted to diagnose what was going on and what our options were. After several weeks and several phone calls trying to get an update from him he confirmed we needed a new transmission. He gave us our 3 options and we picked one and said go ahead and complete the work. Weeks later we called several more times for updates. It was still on the list to get done we were told and took another week. Then he let us know we should replace the serpentine belt and another pipe costing us an additional $500 for the original quoted job, but we knew we needed to pass inspection and trusted his advise and said to do it. Now spending over $3000 we go in to pickup the car (FINALLYYYYY) and he warns my husband to keep an eye on the check engine light. WTF??? He said hopefully it wouldn't come on but if it does, it's most likely an O2 sensor. We pull off after paying and not even TWO MINUTES LATER the check engine light came on!!! My husband went right back the next day with codes from AutoZone to be sure we were on the same page and yup, they're saying O2 sensor and possibly spark plugs. Gabe tells my husband he can't do the job until at least next week. WTF??? We have a time limit to get the failed inspection reinspected for no cost and he already had the car for well over a month not to mention how suspicious his warning was about a possible check engine light coming on when we leave. He was very busy so my husband calls back later to ask what it'll cost and he says he'll have to get back to us. Meanwhile we call 2 other local places while we wait to get prices. Gabe doesn't call until the next day and guess what? He wants to charge us SIGNIFICANTLY MORE than the other places after all of the time and money we just spent there!! Super unprofessional and can't help but feel very ripped off. Wouldn't use them again. Learned our lesson. Thank you for nothing.. read more
