I was not interested in the natural look.(I use mine for vacation purposes with no water/pool involved) I love the long dramatic effect. (To each their own) Day one I didn't notice any lashes falling out and it remained looking full. One week later and I still get compliments and many have fallen out. (Only because I'm not cautious while sleeping or being mindful of my eyes.)?Every morning I wake up with a lash or two missing but it still looks nice. Be carful if you'd like them to last longer without any of them falling out. I believe it's perfectly normal for you to loose lashes on a daily basis but not too many where you may need to be replaced. I did not experience any eye irritations but during there was an irritation that lasted for about an hour after. (It was a burning sensation) Single lash procedure took about one hour and twenty minutes. Enjoy your experience and don't allow them to make any final decisions for you. I was excited to get a deal for eyelash extensions in NJ. I definitely could have gotten a better deal in the city but I just didn't feel like travelling. So I had purchased a livingsocial deal for about $65. The location was fairly easy to get to. The place itself is small but clean. The girls were nice there. The bed was not comfortable, after laying in one position for about 45 mins to an hour my neck started to cramp up. I asked the girl how long they would last and she told me 2 to 3 weeks. It has now been about a week and most of them have fallen out.??!!?? I am not sure if it's the quality of the glue, I mean they looked pretty once they were in but for the price, I think I will stick to travelling to NYC to Koreatown for much better work. I give it 2 stars because I did get a discount, I would have never paid full price for the amount of time the lashes lasted. read more

Wow. I got eyelash extensions for the first time tonight and I am absolutely stunned. Me and my girlfriend woke up today and decided we wanted eyelash extensions. We called a few places in the city but everywhere was booked and everyone we called seemed rude and occupied. We found "Stylash" which is located a few minutes from Garden State Plaza and called. We knew it was a long shot to get a last minute appointment but we tried anyway. We called and the lady told us we could both come, but right NOW. We desperately wanted the extensions so we sped to Palisades Park. With traffic it took us longer then expected so when we got there they bombarded us with questions. She told us that they expected a fifteen to twenty percent tip since we used a groupon, which was understandable. We got the gold package which is valued at 120$ but the groupon was for 65$. This includes 100 lashes on each eye. She explained to us what was best for our eye shape while also was trying to speed up the consultation process. She had two appointments coming in and they needed to get our extensions done ASAP so that we could be finished in a timely manner. We picked a length and a shape and we laid down and began! I chose the size 12 eyelash with the JC curl. I never got extensions before and it was a interesting experience. They use tape and some sort of eye tool to prevent you from being able to open your eye during the application. It's very scary and uncomfortable at first but after-awhile I was able to relax and even fall asleep. The application was a little rushed (which was understandable). We were thirty minutes late, however, the results are unbelievable. I couldn't believe how beautiful and natural my eyelashes looked! The women who did my lashes and my friends lashes were so professional and sweet. Stylash is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. It smells good and they play relaxing music. I don't think it is a place you should bring your children because it was a span like atmosphere. The manager of the place was very sweet. She gave us a lot of information and scheduled appointments for us two weeks out. She was very knowledgable and pleasant. This experience was great! I was nervous at first but the minute I walked out of the salon I was getting compliments from strangers. The lashes look so great and natural and I am very very happy with my results! read more

I wasnt able to get the day I wanted but they made the effort to call me a few days later to say a spot opened up since someone cancelled. The salon (?) Is very tiny, 3 beds in total (I think) but clean. Being that the place is small, you will hear people snoring next to you so I recommend bringing headphones. I also liked how they didnt force me to buy a package after the session Everyone complimented me on my eyelash extensions afterwards and like they said fell off in about 2 weeks. Only downside is that if you dont go back to professionally remove the eyelashes, a couple of your own personal natural eyelashes will fall out as well. I went here for my first experience with eyelash extensions right before my wedding last year. It's a little bit of a hike for me, but my sister in law recommended this place. Angie, the owner, goes above and beyond providing great service, and sits down with you to go over all the available options. The entire process took over an hour, but I was so relaxed the entire time that I think I even fell asleep. The technicians are all very nice and super accommodating. It's a cute, albeit tiny shop, with only three beds, but that didn't take away from the great experience I had there! I have been back three times since then, with every experience being wonderful. The only place I go to for my lashes! The location is convenient and the place is adorable! My lashes are usually still going strong after three weeks thanks to Angie, the lovely manager, telling me how to properly care for them. Angie is so helpful with making sure I get the time and day that I want for my appointment and even sends reminders and calls when there is more availability. The lash stylists are all so talented, I don't mind going to anyone of them! My lash appointments are always a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Ladies make sure you are paying the correct price for the lashes that YOU selected. I've been going here for months until one day I recommend a friend and when you do so they give you 20% off and they scammed me. I paid the price for the most expensive lashes but the lash tech put on the cheapest ones. At the salon I couldn't tell because I felt rush but when I got home and compared my lashes to what I use to always get and with my friends they were totally different. Make sure you can tell the difference between the silver and gold sets so you can pay the correct price and not let them scam you!! read more

Never again. Very unprofessional. Their site says they are open Sundays but when you call, they make it very difficult to make an appointment on Sunday. They told me they wpuld call me back to let me know but never did. When i called again they told me they are not open sundays. And went back and forth on 3 different phone calls on that. When I finally made an appointment on a Saturday, they called asking me to change my appointment time after id already gone thru multiple calla to make the appointment in the first place. For someone who is very busy, I can't have a business fail to honor appointments. As far as the work itself, it is ok compared to other salons but the stickers they use to open your eye are very harsh. She kept sticking it and re-sticking it and each time, it felt like my skin ripped off with it. We all know the skin under the eye is very thin and delicate so this is a huge concern. Never had an issue at other lash places. And they fail to use sanitary sheets on their beds. They only use a very small sheet for your head only. Gross. Then because i had a groupon that allowed me to go for a two week re-touch, they failed to honor my appointment again! I made an appointment during that first visit, so two weeks in advance. Two days ago, they called me asking me to change the time again! Then when I reluctantly agreed,, they called again telling me my appointment was yet again a different time than I had actually made! When I pointed out all of the scheduling issues, the girl didn't even apologize and reasoned that other people made appointments too. What?! You don't make multiple appointments for the same time slot if you don't have enough staff or areas to do the work! Ridiculous! Simply put, this place does not honor its appointments. For a busy person, it is a nightmare. And, it's more expensive than other lash places for subpar quality, lack of customer service etc. I will not return. read more

Weak Glue! Luxury Expense! Let's start by saying I really don't need eyelash extensions but I figured since it is summertime the use of NO mascara will be most helpful during my swimming days. I was not prepared to pay full price for a luxury expense so I found a deal in groupon. The day off my appointment I had a 20 minute sit down with the owner about the type of lashes. After an hour and a half, I did leave satisfied that night. However, when I woke the next morning I saw lashes on my pillow! Oh no! I immediately did not feel this was normal. On 2nd, 3rd, and 4th day more lashes were on my pillow every morning. I wanted to voice my concern so I called in and two days later the owner refilled it at no charge. But guess what happened, lashes fell the next morning again. I do appreciate the refill at no charge but from other experiences from other salons, my lashes started to fall 7 days later. It has to be the glue that is used in this place. Yes, I know the stronger the glue the more damage you can do to your own lashes. I also know the weaker the glue the emptier my wallet will be! The salon and staff is inviting, cute and cordial but I will not be coming back. I would rather go back to natural lashes and just pull the mascara out again! read more

I take my eyelashes pretty seriously and by that I mean that I don't wear a lot of makeup but appreciate good mascara and curled eyelashes that make your eyes pop. I was recommended by a friend of mine to Stylash and I must say that my experience was wonderful! This is why: 1) Excellent customer service: They care about making the customer happy. After I got them done I was very satisfied but a few days later I realized I wanted them a bit curlier and shorter then I initially decided. I went back a few days later and Amy spent almost 45 minutes (even though she had a client coming soon) to adjust the length and shape to make me completely happy. 2) Clean and comfortable: The decor is very cute and the beds are SO COMFORTABLE. I don't know what kind of beds they use but I felt my body getting super relaxed and going into a deep calm sleep. 3) Professional: They take their time with the lashes and they also value and respect the privacy of each customer. I noticed that when other customers were waiting, they put up a curtain and was very focused on their work with little talking. I didn't have such a great experience. My first time doing my lash extension ever and I expressed that clearly. Unfortunately they didn't explain anything to me the way you should for beginners with anything. Also they advertise 20% off for first time customers but what they don't tell you is they will charge you an extra $10 just for using debit/credit card which I think that's a bit sneaky. Also the thing that really discouraged me and was pretty offensive is when I paid and gave tip and thanked them they replied and said they won't welcome me back or service me anymore simply because I feel they didn't explain the process to me. Which I humbly and calmly said ok but I'm sure another person would've probably told them off. I just think you should really practice on being a little bit more KIND to paying customers who pay a lot for service. read more

The service is dishonest. They can never give straightforward answers on pricing. You purchase a certain type of (overpriced) lash and they will mix them as if you will not notice. They were trimming the lashes with scissors, now that mine are falling It is evident they nipped my real lashes along with them. When I went in for a fill, after two weeks , they wanted to charge me a whopping 90 dollars... and that is not including the mandatory 15% tip . It's absurd. The technician was very knowledgeable and gentle. She even fell asleep at one point! The end product is amazing! Her lashes now fan out perfectly. I've been getting my lashes done for almost 2 years and about 6 months ago, I decided to go to Stylash because I wanted to try another lash salon. I am so happy I made that decision. The ladies at Stylash are always willing to try a different length or style with your lashes (at the same cost, of course). I also noticed that my lashes don't twist down or up very much. The last place I went to, I had to always adjust or just pull out my twisted lashes. I also really love the quality of the lashes. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. I've heard about other places that are like a lash factory with ladies who are just in the zone and just put lashes on without any style in mind. That's not what happens here. This is a great business. The owner is a sweetheart and spends a lot of time with you to make sure you are getting what you want. Previously I had gone to get my eyelashes done elsewhere (part of beach bum tanning) Those lashes did not stay on and the person applying them glued my eyes shut. STYLASH however did a great job. The lashes are much better, they stay on for weeks and the application of the lashes was much quicker and done more professionally. read more

I'm a huge fan of Amy's work in particular. She has been my go to person for getting my eyelash extensions placed. She is so attentive to detail and will tailor any length or style based on your preference. I've been to many other shops specializing in eyelash extensions and this place cannot be beat in terms of their reasonable pricing and expertise in the area. The other places I have gone to have used shoddy glue that eventually made my natural eyelashes fall out in clumps. Not at this place.
