My hairdresser/stylist Amy T. has been my hairdresser/stylist for years and recently relocated to her new location at Total Image Salon. I couldn't be happier with the experience! I don't like big crowds and certain types of energy, so I was impressed by the calm, peaceful atmosphere -- the decor, the vibe, and snacks (popcorn!!) Back to Amy T.... she has an incredible eye for color (trust me totally on this one!!), cut, and style, and genuinely listens while gently offering expert suggestions (again, trust me on this!!) Just absolutely HAD to have my hair cut at the last min this weekend. Life would not have felt fine otherwise. I googled around, Ulta and a number of other salons, everyone was booked. Then i found Total Image, no pics but the reviews were really good! Evelyn was able to get me in at the end of her day. I was nervous! I've been growing my hair out for over a year, its finally past the middle of my back but the ends were DEAD! OMG if i walk out with bob my life would be OVER! Evelyn asked the usual "how much you willing to lose?" i said 1-2" at the most, none is my preference lol! The Heavens heard my prayers and Evelyn worked her magic in my hair and O M G! ya'll idk how she cut my hair and made it look like it was cut and not cut at the same time! Dead ends GONE! We started coming to Vicki about a year and a half ago for the full hair experience: wash/sets, hair cuts, perms, wash and blow dry styles. Vicki was and still is wonderful! This review is for a specific stylist only and my experience with her. It is not intended to talk badly about the business or the owner or stylist, it is just my experience. I found Rachel on Groupon and she did a good job the first two times she did my hair. She was really sweet and very thorough with answering all of my questions. Even though the second time it wasn't as red as we talked about, it still looked nice. I saw her for a third time to get blonde highlights because I was tired of the upkeep of the red. I never said anything during my appointment, but you can tell she was irritated. There was even a moment when she was washing my hair that she was really rude (I'm not sure if she knew that). She asked me to grab some of my hair and hold it. She said "here" four times before I actually knew where she wanted me to grab. I'm blind without my glasses and couldn't see exactly where she was pointing. She said it really rudely too, but I just bypassed it. After she was done with my hair and blow dried it, I asked her to do some curls and she told me she had to go pick up her daughter. Now I understand how that is because my kids were once young and things come up. But at the end of the day your job is your job!! She had also brought her kid to work the second time I got my hair done with her, but again, I didn't say anything about that because her kid was well behaved. But it's a workplace and when I pay for your time, I shouldn't have to feel like my time is being rushed because you didn't have childcare. It may seem like I'm not being sympathetic, but your job is your job, period!! The only reason why I'm bringing this up is because I messaged her a week ago to schedule an appointment, and she is literally choosing not to respond to me. I messaged her two more times recently after her not responding for a week; and she is still choosing not to respond. I haven't done anything for her to ignore me. I have been more than accommodating because I know she has a child. I have even changed my appointment times to accommodate her schedule!! So I think it's pretty messed up for her to be behaving like this. If she didn't want to do my hair anymore, she could've at least gave me the common courtesy to let me know; we are adults here!! read more
