The Salon is very nice, however the individual operator Lee (nail technician) is rude and disrespectful! I will NEVER come back to someone who shows no respect for their customers time. Unfortunately this is a negative review for Summer. I told Summer I wanted to touch up my money piece and she had mentioned to me that we can also tone my hair to bring the blonde highlights back to life so I told her I wanted to do that as well. She said great, she added a couple foils to my money piece and then brought me back to the dryer for a little while then we went to the bowl. She rinsed out the foil and then put toner all over my hair and told me to hang out for 15 minutes. She came back rinsed me and shampoo'd then went back to her chair. At the chair she began brushing out my hair and shortly after said "the money piece didn't turn out the way I wanted it too, I'm going to re tone it" so she got more toner and put it all over the money piece, let it sit for a couple minutes then back to the bowl we went, rinse, repeat. We went back to her chair and she began blow drying and my heart started to sink because I saw absolutely no blonde in my hair, in fact my hair was dark, cool toned and ashy. Nothing like the beach blonde sun kissed hair I had before that Summer did previously (back in February) I told her how I felt and she told me to hang out for 20 minutes so that she could get her other client started and then she would fix my hair. I went outside and my fiancé took one look at my hair and was like "wait you went dark?" All my blonde was literally missing from my hair So she brings me back in and adds foils all around my head and back in my money piece again. We go back to the dryer and back to the wash bowl. She brushes and blow drys and wow, I almost wish we didn't go back to fix it because now I have two incredibly light blonde, over processed strips as money pieces and the rest of my hair is just blah, color is a bit lighter but still not at all what I want. My money piece is completely fried and breaking, the hair at my part is about an inch long now because it fried off. It's so terrible I can't believe it. What's upsetting is she didn't even mention the breakage to me, she blow dried my hair with me facing away from the mirror then took me outside immediately to "show me in the sun" before I could see it, and she fiddled with the money piece for a couple minutes before taking me outside. I honestly didn't even notice the extent of the damage until I got home and could really look at it in a mirror, had I noticed I would have said something to her right then and there. She still charged me $185 for literally the worst hair I've ever had. I was so defeated at that point I paid and left. I also sent an email to the salons email and never got a response To update my review, I ended up flying to California to have my moms hairdresser fix my hair and she did an incredible job, but she took one look at my hair when I first sat down and she told me the cut was terribly uneven, my hair is completely fired and damaged and over processed and she felt what Summer did was what someone with little experience or problem solving skills would do, which is basically nothing helpful and damage the hair more. I ended up getting a root tap and shadow and more highlights and a hair treatment for the damage and luckily my hair is back to looking great color wise but I have to deal with the damaged parts. I do not recommend going to Summer nor this salon, they clearly don't answer or look at customers emails or care about their clients read more

Kylee Ulloa knows her stuff! She really cares and takes her time to get to know your hair during the consultation. She doesn't push extra services and is genuine with her recommendations. She is passionate about her career and it is evident when she is educating you on her plans to correct the color in your hair. She walks you through every step of what and why. I received a recommendation to come here for foot zone therapy from a friend. I had made an appointment with Chelsy through email. She responded quickly and got me scheduled within a week of our initial contact. When I got there, I was directed to sit in the front parlor. They had coffee, water, cookies, and candy out for clients. Chelsy approached to guide me back to her room. I was not sure what to expect, but from the moment I laid down, her warm and friendly attitude put me at ease. It didn't hurt that classic rock was playing in the background and we were just having fun chatting. The session lasted over 2 hours and Chelsy was able diagnose my ailments before I even told her. By the end of the session, I had a laundry list of what I needed to improve upon not only for myself, but the husband as well. The fact that she had not worked on him yet, but was still thoughtful enough to listen to what I said in passing conversation and give advice was very sweet. read more

I struggled between a 3 and 4 star for this review. If I had my choice, it would be more like a 3.5, but let's round up today, shall we? After a disaster of a trim yesterday at a cheap cut place, I called Backstage Beauty Salon this morning when they opened, asking if they could fit me in for a trim to even out my jacked up hemline. The lady, Heather, on the phone was SO nice and sweet and let me know that someone would contact me in an hour to confirm. Sweet! I was so relieved that my initial contact was with someone friendly. You know how sometimes you call a business and you get a bitchy receptionist? Yeah, no one needs that shit. I did not get that here. Jessica called me back just around an hour later and asked me what I needed, so I explained my dilemma to her. She was very nice as well and she said she would see me at my appointment time(I made it for my lunch hour so I could zip on over and get my hair fixed). When I arrived, the ladies at the front were attentive and they went to get Jessica right away. The whole hand shaking, nice to meet ya dance took place and we were off to her little room. I like that this place has private rooms. It feels a lot more comfortable for chatting and I don`t know about y'all, but I feel some kind of ugly in those haircut capes and I don`t want people looking at me. *look away!*. Just sayin'. So, Jessica and I talked for a hot minute and I told her my sad haircut story and said I just needed even ends and she was cool with that. She washed my hair with some fancy salon shampoo and conditioner, which admittedly smelled amazing, but later on when I was home made my scalp itchy(I`m glad I did not go crazy and buy a bunch of stuff before giving it some time). Anyway, she massaged my scalp and I was totally ready to take a nap. Then that part was over and we went back to her room so she could fix my Frankenstein-esque hair. She sectioned my hair and began cutting. She really took her time to make sure it was all even, or so I thought(more on that towards the end). Then she put some stuff on my hair that smelled good but also made me cringe. I`m admittedly one of those people who hates all the stuff they put in my hair at a haircut place. I don`t know why. I`m weird. So, anyway, she asked if I just wanted it straight or round brushed, and I asked for round brushed. Jessica took her time drying section by section and I felt slightly bad because I have a lot of hair and it takes a lot of time, but also I am paying for a service, so ya know? My hair looked and smelled and felt AH-mazing after Jessica was done with it. I checked the back and it had some nice bouncy fluff from the blow drying with the round brush. Much better! I paid for my cut(she charges $45)AND I tipped because I`m vowing not to go cheap with my haircuts anymore and I was out. She walked me to the door and wished me a good day after giving me her card. So, this is where I'll explain why this experience only gets 3.5 stars from me. After I got off work and worked out, I needed a shower(obviously. I hope people shower after working out), and I decided to wash my hair. I`m telling you, I hate product in my hair. The stuff she massaged my scalp with was making me itch, like I mentioned earlier. NOT her fault, my scalp just did not like it, so I was like "bye" and I washed my hair with some non salon approved shampoo and conditioner. So, wash wash wash. I like to also see how my hair air dries after a cut, to see how it "lays" if that makes sense. Well, I noticed pretty immediately a long piece that was missed and it was noticeable. I was like "Really, Satan? You're going to play me like this?" After some minor irate sighs, I got out my little pair of hair cutting shears that I keep for emergencies, and I shortened that part, but I was like "damn it all". Finding a stylist since I moved to Las Vegas has been difficult, y'all. I am not playing. It's hard to find decent pricing, someone who cuts and colors well, and a nice atmosphere. I am giving up for a while and just letting my hair go until I`m at the breaking point, because these last two days have traumatized me. I wasn't even mad about the little piece that was missed, but I was just done with the hair situation already. Jessica is very cool, nice, and is good at what she does. I would actually totally go back to her, but she did miss that little piece. I kept thinking it was me, looking at my hair from all angles, hoping I was just being nutty, but nope, that damn little piece of hair WAS longer than the rest. What can you do? It's hair. It grows, you cut it, it grows, you cut it, and then you give up and eat a doughnut. read more

I knew during my first appointment that I had found a gem. She understood everything I told her about why my cut wasn't working for me (someone else had just cut it that week)...and she fixed it all. The girl who works at front was polite when she checked me in and even recommended a hair product that is my new favorite. My sister in law made an appointment with Linda for my wedding make-up and hair. I was a bit nervous but trusted my sis since she's picky and I know she would only go with someone she trusts. I couldn't be happier!! Linda did an AMAZING job and made me look how I felt that day, absolutely beautiful! I told her I wanted a 'smokey eye" look but for the most part natural. It came out even better than I imagined! She's super sweet and even worked with my photographer and videographer, which I really appreciate since it made things a bit hectic, but she handled it like a pro! Whatever you do, DO NOT SEE SADIE. It was my moms first time at a salon and we booked her last minute. I was recommended Backstage Beauty by my boss and she sees Erin who she says is great. Sadie took us last minute and scheduled us for 12pm. Then she pushed it back to 12:30 and then 1pm. My mom has never gotten her hair done in her life and I wanted her to have a good experience. There were so many red flags that made my moms experience awful. First, Sadie talked the entire time about HERSELF. Every time she did something she would say "this is why I'm a good stylist" or "you know I'm amazing because..." and something like that. And every time she spoke she's stop working. It took her four hours to give my mom highlights! On top of that she just kept trying to push product and raise prices. She kept saying she wouldnt do something but could if we paid her more, which I understand sometimes, but not when you're doing it every step of the way. She also trash talked everything and everyone else. She trash talked the hair standard, the shampoo we use and even when I said I like Billie eilish she trash talked her. There was apparently nothing she liked besides herself. And she was so disorganized. She spent half the time looking for her own product. And then when she was mixing product right in front of us she would say "I learned to do this" then put the product in my moms hair and then when she went to mix more product she forgot the ingredient she just bragged to us about. So she cut my moms hair and did low lights and highlights. Well I told my mom never again will she got there and I sent her to the hair standard to get her hair touched up this time. My moms main priority was to get her hair healthy and get her roots filled in. When she went to the hair standard the stylist told her that he hair cut was uneven and Sadie didn't actually do lowlights at all. In addition to that she didn't even cover my moms grays. She just slathered my moms hair in darker color to make the highlights on top stand out. Her base price was $200 and my mom ended up paying $290 because it was her first time at the salon and Sadie kept pushing product on her. She used the fact that my mom was a new client against her to get more money and I do not appreciate that at all. My mom came out of that experience so irritated and unhappy. Her hair looked good but she didn't feel good. After her visit at the hair standard my mom actually felt good about her visit. If you go to backstage beauty do not go to Sadie. read more

I've been going to Kylee Ulloa since she's graduated from Paul Mitchell the school of Las Vegas. She's so incredible. She's very knowledgeable in what she does. She takes such pride in her work and sits down with you one on one to see what kind of hair you want to achieve. She also explains the process in how to get you that result. She also stresses the importance of the integrity of hair and helps us to keep it healthy. I'm a huge fan of sitting in the bowl and getting great massages. She really takes her time with that too! She's efficient. You will literally walk out of the salon feeling brand new with her luxury blow outs that she gives her clients. I had my first facial with Miranda and it was AMAZING. The salon is located next door to the Dollar Tree in the TJ Maxx parking lot so beware if you have a habit of shopping like me lol. I booked a 30min facial just to see how the process is and if I would like it and it was well worth it. Miranda walked me through the process and asked about my skin type, skin regimen, trouble areas, what results I am looking for and the products I use to determine what products to use. Before the process I was able to pick a scent I went with lavender of course so it was a nice aroma along with relaxing music made me reminisce about my body massages I would book before The Rona. The best part about the facial is that Miranda explains each part of the process as she begins including the products and what to expect which was a plus especially if you're a first timer like myself and it includes a shoulder, arm and hand massage. I was very impressed with just the 30min and my skin feels amazing so soft and with a glow. I would recommend the 1hr facial do not hesitate or think twice about it!
