When I recently lost that ring after 23 years of marriage, I was absolutely heartbroken. The ring's unique setting had been discontinued. Kenny Gordon, the owner, personally went above and beyond by reaching out to the original designer and ring maker on our behalf. Thanks to his efforts, the designer agreed to recreate the discontinued tension setting, giving us the opportunity to restore something we thought was lost forever. When I received my new ring, I was overwhelmed with emotion. It exceeded all my expectations and was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The craftsmanship is extraordinary, and every detail reflects the care and dedication that went into creating it. Max helped me out, he heard my vision and helped me decide on what to do. This was a little present from my husband as a push present so my husband wanted me to really think about how I was going to go about it so I won't end up regretting my decision. Max and I talked about pros and cons and he also gave me a pretty good quote. I ended up getting the "toi et moi" ring done which means "you and me" in French. I haven't seen anyone around me who wears this kind of ring design so I was excited to have a pretty unique ring. The job took a little over 2 weeks to be completed but I didn't mind as it didn't take that long and wanted it to be perfect. I'm pretty impressed with how professional everyone is at Kenny G Elk Grove and they are also friendly and welcoming! I never feel intimidated when I come here (unlike other jewelry stores). Even though I've only worked with Don and Max so far, I know that everyone here is very friendly and supportive of their customers' decisions. The craftsmanship is also chef's kiss, love how it was not rushed and my ring turned out perfect!

I came in with my newborn son and my mom, and after waiting a few minutes without being acknowledged we walked up to the front desk to ask for help. A staff member assisted us and showed a few bands. When I found one I liked, I asked if it could be made in yellow gold. She said she would check with the vendor and offered to clean my engagement ring so I could look at the bands with my clean ring. After a few minutes, she returned with my ring, and when I asked to try on another band, she told us she was now helping someone else and couldn't assist us further.This was surprising since she had been helping us the entire time up to that point. This information can be verified with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration - Publication# 73. I visited Legacy Jewlers to have my wife's rings resized. Upon the initial visit I met with one of the owners, Kevin who was very friendly and was able to assist us with determining the proper sizing of the ring. He mentioned it would take about a week to complete. The cost to resize (1 size down) a gold ring and platinum ring was $120. When picking up the rings I met with the other owner, Nick. He included sale's tax even though CA sale's tax is only applicable to purchasing materialistic items and not services. I explained that CA sale's tax is not applicable to services and he could verify this information with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) which is the CA State Department that administers the Seller's Permit which is required to operate the business. I even offered to show him exactly where this information could be found on the CDTFA website since he had a computer nearby. He declined and said he wasn't changing how he charges customers even though he refunded me the illegally charged sale's tax. It was interesting to encounter a business owner oblivious to the law while declining to learn and apply the law to prevent an audit, fees, and potential Seller's Permit revocation by the CDTFA.
