I called them based on the 5 star Yelp reviews, expecting that this is a local business. It is not. It is a NATIONAL BUSINESS with operators located through the country. I was given the standard four hour window for the repairman to come. Okay, fine. Only he never showed. When I called, an operator, who didn't seem to know my address or where I was located, said that the original tech repairperson had been sent to DALLAS. When I said that I was angry at having waited FOUR hours, she said she was sorry. When I asked if she was a local company, she said yes. When I asked howdy order could have mistakenly been sent to Dallas, she dodged the question and said their repair people are local. But when I pressed, and asked if this was a NATIONAL company, she admitted it. Dodgy. I lost four hours of my time and now wonder how many of these ads were paid for. I originally tried to find service through the number on the sub zero site and couldn't get though to anyone. I found these guys through a quick google search and immediately got though to someone. I've had Sub Zeros for 25 years. Yes they are expensive yet they are not only so beautiful but they work amazing and help the value of your home. Yesterday something went wrong with our sub zero. They sent out someone next morning and he fixed it on the spot. Brad our service person was helpful and quick. He helped my son understand what was happening with the fridge and played with our dogs. A few months ago, we'd been having such difficulty finding a reliable and thorough appliance repairer. When we met with Mark Nyrak of Sub Zero LA Service and Repair LA, our dreams came true!!! Even though we were definitely stressed about the previous unsuccessful repairs to our fridge, Mark walked us patiently and kindly through explaining what he found, and what needs to be done. Having a SubZero fridge is a blessing and a curse. Custom instillation is a biggie, the unit is top-notch but routine maintenance is also a way of life. Fortunately, when my girlfriend got the fridge she also connected with a great service company. Brad is the rep that has been taking care of our fridge and he's a great guy. Shows up in the appointment window, gives a heads up about 15mins before he gets there, all around good service tech. One of the most disorganized and backward company I have ever had the displeasure of hiring for a Wolf Stove and Sub-Zero repair. A few months ago I called Sub-Zero LA Service and Repair and they sent me a repair man named Dario. Upon his first arrival Dario insisted that I pay in full for the parts so he can order them for my refrigerator and stove, okay that I understand. After he received my check he came back once only becuase I had repeatedly called over and over again to schedule an appointment time. When he finally came back he "broke" the part he was installing on the Wolf oven. He promised to fix it at his expense only to never return and honor his comittment. I paid him the balance of the bill which he initially claimed was $600, I told him no it is closer to $500 so he pulled up the bill on his phone and agreed I was right, said I had a "good memory". He literally came into my home and broke more things and never fixed what I had paid for. After his 2nd stop at my house it took about two weeks of calls and text messages but Dario never followed up to do the work he was paid for. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the reviews done on this Yelp site are from the company owners themselves trying to make up for the complete mess they call a business. My GE freezer was no longer making ice yet the motor and water were all working. I called a few places only to have a rude receptionist or answer machine and then called Sub-Zero in Beverly Hills. The man on the phone was efficient and polite and the next day sent Brad to my home. He was on time, in a uniform and very polite at the door. Within 40 minutes he had evaluated, quoted, replaced and actually cleaned out my entire ice section after he replaced the new ice maker. I was in shock when I walked into the kitchen expecting to see parts all over the floor, only to find it sparkling and the job done for a reasonable price. We called Sub-Zero LA when we noticed a steady leak from the bottom of our refrigerator. They were willing to come out same day (Labor Day) but we pushed them to the next day, so from the start we experienced great customer service and availability. Brad, our technician, called beforehand as I requested, so I wasn't tied to my home for the 3 hour window. He was thorough and showed me exactly what the problem(s) were, why they needed fixing and how to prevent the issues in the future. Because the problem was linked to a part that had been replaced previously by another company (my husband didn't know the back story of the fridge and had booked brad to come out) we didn't wind up having Brad service the fridge. Oh my gosh! I can't believe I finally found a competent and knowledgeable appliance repair company! I called Sub-zero LA and they promised a repairman today! That never ever happens. They sent Tom who had an 11-3 window...he called at about 12 and showed up ten minutes later. He looked around inside my refrigerator and immediately knew what was wrong, what he needed to replace, and the cost. Amazing. He replaced the motor for us and it took him less than an hour. He cleaned up after himself and gave me the bill. This was one bill I was more than happy to pay! Although it has been many years since our last service call, we had been happy with this company and asked for Brad by name having noted the quality of his work. Brad was able to respond very quickly and diagnosed the problem right away, clearly communicating the recommended work to be done and the alternatives. He was properly equipped to make the repair on the spot (including having factory certified replacement parts) and also did some required routine maintenance work on the unit. i have a viking stove that had so many things wrong with it. Brad came out and evaluated the stove quickly and needed to order a part to fix it. after he left i had some questions so i called him and he took the time to answer them all and walk me through everything again. He called me within a few days saying he had the new part and he could come by in a half and hour to finish fixing the stove. He showed up, fixed the stove and also looked at my fridge and offered to fix a broken drawer and tighten some loose parts. Brad from Sub Zero LA came out on a Saturday to diagnose some icing issues I've had with my freezer. I have a 14 year old fridge, but definitely want to keep it going as long as possible. Brad took a look at the seal, figured out where it wasn't connecting on the bottom of the door, and also read another error code we are getting and gave us an estimate for that as well. One repair at a time, but I'll definitely give them a call when it's time to fix the compressor. read more
