I trained in 5 different gyms before I settled at Subfighter 4 years ago and I never looked back. The atmosphere is competitive but balanced by a lot of fun and love we all share together. To keep this short, here is why I stayed here: I love understanding the mechanics of techniques and the motivations of my opponent. Our coaches take the time to break down the move and make sure the students have it right. More importantly, the techniques are taught in the context of the fight - whether in a jiu-jitsu match or MMA fight. Most schools I have been to go like this, "Alright guys here is a butterfly pass. You do this and this, and there you go." I want to know why and my coaches are always willing to share their knowledge. They show the goals of each position and how each person will be fighting for control of the situation. It's incredibly insightful information if you want to be good at what you are learning. I've got the medals to prove it. And our coaches have the same depth of knowledge for all aspects of fighting - ground, stand up, or clinch. If you are looking to be a amateur or pro fighter, learn bjj or muay thai, or just get in shape, this is the place. read more

This a great place for anybody with any experience level. There's a good group of professional and amateur fighters along with normal people and kids and women. The pro fighters help out the normal group a lot by being a part of the class and partnering up with you. There's no egos here and everybody seems to want to help each other get better. There's no division between the pro fighters and normal group like you see in most other gyms. The coaches are great and there's classes throughout the day from early morning to night 7 days a week! My comment should not affect your business, that is your job to keep it running and address what has been stated on Yelp. If you are going to spend time revisiting this to just undermine what I have said then you clearly do not know how to handle customers.
