Clean, fresh and generously sized salad
    Marisa S.

We experienced a warm welcome from the staff and the food did not disappoint. Bright and fresh was the theme there ;)) . Our party ordered several dishes and each one was unique and no fried foods are served there, which is so refreshing. The juices were freshly prepared and the portions, quite abundant. All I can say is that we had enough energy to sprint back home before the storm came down upon us. We felt well nourished and satisfied ! I strongly recommend this beautiful spot for a thoughtfully prepared meal, with your wellness in mind.

$15 for 4 nuggets?!?! You've gotta be freakin kidding me. Ordered from Uber Eats and I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened this box.

Very good vegan food, A bit pricy but delicious portions are large. Highly recommend to even non vegans like myself.

Sesame seitan over salad. So big and so delicious

This place is great. Really fresh high quality food, smoothies and juices. On the pricey side but expected for a vegan organic cafe. They have a couple of tables outside which is nice. I got a banana, orange, apple and mango smoothie around $9. It was thick, smooth and creamy. No extra sugar, I really tasted the fresh fruit. It was so refreshing and delicious. I got the sesame seitan over a salad. Huge amount of salad and seitan. I had leftovers for the next day. I likes the flavor and texture a lot and the salad had a ton of veggies in it. My boyfriend got the Subia burger and he loved it. We tried the Cannoli too, I thought the filling was a little too sweet and could have been thicker. Apparently they have been in business for 18 years! The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come again

Absolutely delicious vegan food!!! We tried the the breakfast tacos this time and they did not disappoint at all!! The sauce they had on top was addicting. It comes with too but as you can see they are so filled that you get full fast. Definitely think the high price point is worthy with the large portion size The only reason i deducted a star this time is because their water cups smelt so weird and we're dirty when we were given them. I thought that was gross. The other thing was the taco tortilla was fried and it was super oily which i didnt like as much. The oatmeal cookie was delicious too although they aren't made by Subias kitchen themselves (not that it matters but just a note!) Overall would definitely return, great food!!

My order receipt and what I received

I'm not the one to write reviews at all. But this that happened to me has to be shared about the people working at this place. This is the 3rd time they send my order incomplete. Today was the same thing , I ordered 3 chicken nugget platters , spent over $100 in food for my kids and family to have dinner and they only send me 1 chicken nugget platter and 2 cakes. Called the restaurant and my call got passed down from staff to staff (3 different voices got on the phone) fortunate for me , unfortunately for them , they did not Mute the phone and I heard all 3 staff while I was on hold literally cursing me out and shouting back and forth about my annoying self being on the phone upset ABOUT THEIR MISTAKE. Like they literally were mad that I was mad because I paid for some thing I didn't get. This is the 3rd time they've done this so it's a regular thing that happens. And don't you dare to call in about their mistake. You will get cursed out too. The owner got on the line and had the nerve to tell me "you matter as a client" all along while I heard ALL OF HER STAFF joking and disregarding and disrespecting me with obscenities that Google won't allow me to post on this review. Lost my tip money on Uber eats ($20 tip) lost my delivery fee of Uber ($6-$9) and no dinner at the table. HEY OWNER , whomever got on the line for this issue , great way to NOT retain a client and make them more upset. YOUR ENTIRE STAFF IS GREAT AT THAT.

Really good vegan spot in Jersey City! I came here for dinner with a coworker when we were traveling for a work trip. We are both vegetarian and figured this would be a great spot. We had the cauliflower appetizer which was awesome! Very saucy but still good. I had a black bean burger for my meal which was outstanding. Very well done and all the flavors were amazing. My coworker ordered the chicken sandwich and enjoyed that as well. They also serve a variety of desserts as well as vegan snacks like cheese and other refrigerated goods. This place is definitely worth the stop!

Stopped by on my way to work to get some breakfast & got the breakfast wrap. Oh my gosh...it tasted AMAZING. Literally every single bite had me in disbelief with just how spectacular it tasted. Nooo complaints at all. Reasonable price, great location, awesome service. Looove this place so much already!

Love this fraternal twin owned business!! as a local who visits just about every week, they always make fresh juices and provide locally baked sweet treats!!! Nilsa and Yvonne have been one of the longest and best vegan restaurants in jersey city. They've upgraded with new renovations, newer plants, and a great paint job. Their breakfast tacos and vegan cannolis are to die for !! My favorite snack is their super filling extra spicy chickpea empanada

Came for an outdoor lunch with my friend at this small market/cafe. They have a great selection of sandwiches, salads, platters, and smoothies/juices which are all vegan. Neither one of us is vegan but we really enjoyed our dishes. I got the sesame seitan as a salad and she got the bbq riblette sandwich. We also tried one of their smoothies which was delicious and seemed to be made of just fruits and plant milk without any added sugar. We had a great experience here and would definitely recommend to anyone - vegan or not!

Well, again I can't believe I haven't reviewed the one and only Subia's. Better late than never. First of all the food is great. The service is warm and friendly and the portions are GENEROUS! They have great starters (like empanadas) and they have the best vegan desserts. We are a sweet tooth family. I recommend the cookies and the carrot cake!!! They just had a beautiful renovation so there's roomy comfortable seating inside. It's getting cold but they had nice outdoor seating as well. We dine in and order out through the apps (Grubhub...) and the food is always fresh, hot, and well-seasoned. This last time we had waffles, potatoes, eggs, empanadas, and cake. We shared everything and had enough left over to bring home. The price is reasonable. They have a nice variety of lunch and dinner choices as well. We have been coming to Subia's for almost two years and the quality has not wavered. Not fancy at all. Comfort food. One of our go-to eateries. We will be back! SABOR!

Odd, I could have sworn I reviewed this place already... Subias is a very understated place, they serve all vegan variations of your most adored dishes and the are always delicious. The texture and flavor of all their meat substitutes are grand, plus they have the best vegan cheeze there is. Lots of sweets and smoothies as well, my favorite is personal power. The lentil burger texture is a bit crumbly but the flavors are all there. Don't even think about it, show up order anything, enjoy!

Subia's Organic Market is a small vegan/vegetarian restaurant located in the downtown section of Jersey City. Parking was tough. We rode around for a little while then decided we would park in the pay lot around the corner on Columbus Drive. That's when fortunately, a spot on the street opened up and we pulled in. We walked a little ways but it was worth it since the service was excellent. The young lady who took our order, politely answered our questions about menu items that contained soy. At the time of this review, I've learned ALL of the burgers are SOY-FREE but the other menu items are not. I ordered the bbq riblete which also contains soy. It was tasty with a rich bbq flavor and hint of spice. I topped off my meal with a cannoli for dessert which was tres manifique! The restaurant has a nice touch of soft contemporary music playing in the background and while the restaurant itself may not have the greatest ambiance, it was wrapped in somewhat of a spiritual decor and decorated with a "cozy" feel. All in all, I was quite pleased with the service and the food and would certainly recommend both vegans and non-vegans to stop by for lunch when in the area.

Flavorful sauce that was creamy enough but not too heavy- better than some "fancy" vegan Italian restaurants I've had in the city. Also comes with a side of garlic bread. The mushroom empanada was very good- each piece is huge!! They are deep fried, and would be nice to have a baked option perhaps. The filling was really good- seemed like a mix of meat substitute and mushrooms. Also tried the vegan crispy chicken burger- portion was huge. Very nice sesame bun and "chicken" patty was thick and hearty. For dessert, got the strawberry cheesecake which was so-so for me. The texture was ok but the taste was not cheesecake-y enough for me. But it was still good overall. The slice was HUGE! Definitely for sharing. Also got the vegan gluten-free choc chip cookie which I really liked- crispy edges and chewy center, not too sweet. Everything was well-packaged and service was fast after ordering for pick up. The staff were lovely. Overall, Gaia & Loki left a great impression for yummy vegan comfort food in Jersey City, with very generous portions. The restaurant seemed popular and crowded, and has a nice casual vibe to it. Come with an appetite, and people to share with. Will return to either in person or order takeout again!

This sandwich is usually not something that is available vegetarian so i was curious to see the flavors and textures. The steak is chewy and meaty so if you are not a fan of faux meat then i would proceed with caution. I enjoy the cheeses here as they are unique and different from each other. The sandwich overall was okay though not my favorite sandwich ever. - smoked Mac and cheese (7/10): macaroni with smoked goat cheese, cheddar, mozzarella baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with vegan pancetta and breadcrumbs. This was a cozy appetizer especially on a cold day. The flavors of the cheese are rich and smoky with a hint of saltiness from the pancetta and breadcrumbs. I would have liked it to be a larger portion and offered as an entree. WOULD I GO BACK? Maybe. I liked the ambiance and the option to try dishes that are usually meat heavy but the cuisine is not my personal favorite.

I told him "hey we have these plastic cups....any chance we can purchase to go drinks for the event outside." He said no...which was fine. But then he reached across the bar and snatched the cups out of our hands stating he could not let us walk out with the empty cups we came in with. He could have asked us to hand him the cups instead of grabbing it from us like that. We were stunned for a minute that that actually happened. So after that happened I asked if I can use the restaurant's bathroom. Jessie seemed annoyed...looked at us up and down and replied "the bathroom are for paying customers only." We took it as judgement as if the other dad and I were some kind of peasants. We ended up purchasing 2 margaritas at the bar in order to use the restaurant's bathroom. The margaritas were good and priced good($10 each). The business was empty. Wasn't like he was busy. The bartender Jessie was acting like an a**hole.
