Pulled pork and fries and beans.

Wow....delicious BBQ in the small town of Bolivar. Sandwiches come in 2 sizes which determines how much meat you'll get. Unless you're really hungry the small sandwich is plenty filling especially with a side dish. We tried the beef brisket and the pulled pork. Both were delicious and so tasty. There's a choice of 4 different sauces. The original was our choice. The French fries are fresh cut and definitely some of the best I've ever had. Also the baked beans aren't your ordinary out of the can variety. These beans are homemade and dressed up with some meat and other veggies. They have a full bar too with 16 beers on tap from various local brews. We tried the Oktoberfest from Lockport Brewery which is just down the street. Next time I'm on Bolivar this will be a stop for me.

These are some of my favorite Ribs in Northern Ohio. The taste is great and the bark is perfect!

I first stopped into Sublime last year and I have been wanting to visit it again, I was not disappointed! The staff is great and the bartender is one of my favorites I've dealt with ever. I got a full order of ribs with two of their house made barbecues. They are nestled in a cool old building in Bolivar with other bars to visit when you're walking off the delicious food.

Collard greens, loaded baked beans, baked mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, crispy smoked chicken wings, and pork loin back ribs.

Finally checked out Sublime Smoke after first reading a newspaper review over a year ago. Specializing in barbecue and smoked meats, my wife and I were excited to sample several different things from the menu. When you enter Sublime Smoke, you order at the front counter and then take a seat, where your food will be delivered to you. After ordering our food, we made a trip to the bar to check out their great selection of craft beers on tap. They had 16 varieties on tap (and many others in cans or bottles, including domestic beers), so we each decided to get four small flights for $5 so we could sample several different kinds. From there, we found a seat outside, where there were approximately eight wooden picnic tables set up under a covered patio with overhead fans. Less than 15 minutes after ordering, our food was ready. Because there were so many tasty-sounding options, we decided to try several things and split them. The pork loin back ribs were very meaty, with just enough fat to add flavor. They came with a dry rub and the house BBQ sauce. The crispy smoked chicken wings were equally good. Crisp on the outside and tender on the outside, these wings were full of smoked flavor, without being overpowering. I love shrimp, but I'd never had grits before. After sampling the shrimp and grits here, this won't be the last time I have grits! They were cheesy and moist, and not lumpy at all. The shrimp were plentiful and flavorful. For our sides, we got small orders of the baked mac and cheese, collard greens, and loaded baked beans. My wife ate all of the collard greens and loaded baked beans before I could try them, and said they were outstanding! You could tell the baked mac and cheese was homemade and was appropriately cheesy, without being too much. Overall, our meal was excellent, and everything was fairly priced. I can't wait to visit this spot again in the near future!

Get these epic ribs without sauce. Needs nothing.

In a word. . . Amazing. How lucky is this little Ohio town to not only have this creative smoke house but incredible selection of tasty craft beers too . Being from north coastal San Diego ( Carlsbad). I'd like to think I know a good IPA. This place rotates a plethora of local tasty IPAs. Looking at the tap handles around the room SD is well represented too. Now, the food. We had the ribs ( sauce) on the side. " Ribs like these need nothing" yeah, that good. Same gos for the chicken drumsticks. Brisket sandwich was Great but the addition of their in-house bbq was a plus. Now, shrimp & grits. Very good, corn bread and mac/cheese as well. Lastly, coleslaw. This was prepared very simply but excellent. Like a white french dressing. Very light and tasty. Not over the top saucy like many make the mistake of doing. Five star place, all the way around.

I hope everyone continues to get carry out here throughout these tough times. I just got a smoked Reuben the other day carry out. Delicious! This is not sliced up lunch meat. These are actual big chunks of corned beef. It's not on a boring bread either. I look forward to reading the specials every week. They're always very inspired, and you can tell the owner has a definite passion for cooking.

Great local beer selection, good barbecue, mediocre sides. We had mac and cheese, coleslaw and potato salad. The mac and cheese is not creamy. Potato salad a bit too mayonnaise and mustard. Coleslaw was the best imo. Just a little too saucy as well. The three pepper sauce was delish. Ribs and brisket are good. I would come back and honestly wish I'd stopped sooner on my fishing trips...

Love this spot. Favorite thing about it is the patio- perfect place to chill on a nice day and take in the smells of the smoker. The meats are delicious! The pork sundae basically has all their sides except the baked beans and potato salad thrown into a bowl with pulled pork and bbq sauce. The cornbread is on bottom so it sucks up all the juices. I decided to try the pizza this time, but wasn't a huge fan. I'll just stick to the smoked meats next time- which they do extremely well! The cornbread is my favorite side dish. The beans are more on the savory side, not very sweet. Coleslaw is definitely of the creamy variety, which I actually prefer. The buns for the sandwiches are nice and flavorful- great compliment to the meat. I usually stick with the house BBQ on everything. It's mild and not overly sweet. They also have a great beer selection. My last trip I had a refreshing tangerine beer that was delightful. This place definitely knows how to do BBQ right. And they are extremely clean and sanitize everything, which I really appreciate! Always worth the trip down here for great food and awesome service!

Nice atmosphere, food was very dry. Nice smoke flavor. Probably wouldn't go out if my way to come back.

This is the definition of barbecue. I live an hour away from sublime but I make the drive down there just to eat there. All of the meat is succulent and well cooked, everything is seasoned well and the fries were absolutely to die for. I have had a lot of barbecue, including Southern barbecue and this is the best I've ever had by a longshot.

I am a fan, because it is hard to find good BBQ in general. This is in a little town, kind of in the middle of nowhere. It seems to be one of those places trying to rebuild itself, but keep the old building charm. The restaurant is kind of trendy / hipster with the micro and specialty brew selection and folks running around with watch / winter caps on when is warm in the place. The place is open, big bar with a couple of TV's. The seating is spaces and comfortable. On the food side, there were three of us. We got some Brisket, Ribs, pulled port and Wings. We also go mack and cheese and greens for the sides. 1) Brisket was moist and good flavor. They add some kind of seasoning before serving. Not needed. Made it too salty and raises suspensions. 2) Pulled pork had a great flavor but the bite I had was a little dry. They seemed to be the leaning for all of us, but with the sauce in a sandwich it was perfectly fine. 3) Ribs were the hit. Very tender. Pull from the bone nicely. The flavor was great. I am a dry rib person, sauces and seasoning make me think you are trying to hide something. This was really good without the sauce. 4) Wings were jumbo and really, really good. Worth eating all on their own. 5) Mac-n-cheese was bland and no one at the table liked it. 6) Greens were perfect. One at the table thought the vinegar was a little strong, but kept on shoveling. So there you go. Price was very reasonable. So I would not drive the hour to get there very often, but if I am in the area I would go out of my way to eat here.

Pork Sundae, Mac Daddy, and Smoked Wings - all amazing!

Delicious bbq - the best we've had in the greater Canton area since we moved here from Virginia where the bbq is amazing. We particularly love the smoked wings and pork sundae, and I enjoy their house sauce. When they have the smoked Reuben absolutely get it! It's my favorite thing they offer but it's only offered as a special, so you have to check their Facebook page for availability. It's the best treat when we can get it. If you have a sweet tooth, they have cute individual cast iron skillet cookies for purchase. So yummy!

A Hidden Gem Brewing with Heart and Hops in Toledo, OH…read more We were about 30 minutes southwest of Toledo on April 5, 2025, when we decided to check out a local brewery we'd heard great things about--and we're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like longtime friends. I had the pleasure of chatting with Lisa Bauman, who owns the brewery with her husband, Mike. Both are proud Toledo natives. Mike, a retired police officer and military veteran, has been brewing beer for over 30 years--and it shows. What started as a dream became reality in July 2023 when they opened the brewery after completely transforming what used to be a dentist's office (yep, you'd never guess!). They bought the building in 2021 and spent years renovating, building on, and navigating the complicated web of licensing. Lisa mentioned the TTB was manageable, but Ohio's state licensing was a different story. Still, their passion, grit, and commitment carried them through, and the result is a beautiful space pouring even better beer. Now let's talk about the beer--because WOW. We kicked things off with a sampler and were seriously impressed: River Rat IPA (6%) - A juicy hazy IPA brewed with locally grown malt, Zythos and Azacca hops. It's got citrus and tropical notes, but with a softer, smoother body than your typical hazy. Super drinkable and fresh. Red "Knight" Ale (6.75%) - This red ale has a great depth of flavor. Notes of caramel and raisin from a mix of malts (some local) make it rich without being too heavy. Balanced and satisfying. Happy Pillzzzzzzz (6.69%) - An Imperial Pilsner that lives up to its clever name. It's a classic German-style pils with a crisper profile, slight sweetness, and smooth malt finish. Dangerously easy to sip. Meg B's Blue Light Special (5.5%) - A blueberry ale that completely surprised me. I'm not usually into fruity beers, but this one was smooth, not overly sweet, and incredibly well done. A total standout in its category. Then came the big winner: I was planning on getting a glass of the hazy, but Lisa offered a taste of their Scottish ale, and--damn. It blew me away. Tipsy Kilt (7.75%) - A Scottish-style "wee heavy" ale that instantly became my favorite of the night. It's rich, malty, with just the right amount of sweetness, brewed with English malts and hops. The name is as perfect as the pour. This brewery is the real deal--from the quality of the beer to the story behind it. Lisa and Mike have created something truly special here. It's not just about hops and barley--it's about community, dedication, and a whole lot of heart. If you're anywhere near Toledo, make the trip. This place deserves to be on your beer bucket list. Cheers to the Baumans and everything they've built--can't wait to come back!

Every table was taken as were most seats at the bar. Someone was hosting a birthday party and had pizza brought in from an outside establishment. The beer menu was expansive and included a few seltzers. The consensus from the group was that these are heavy hitters! The ABV seems low because after a couple, you're definitely feeling it. The staff were friendly. You really get the small town feel here, as most of the bar staff knew the patrons on a personal level. The bathroom was clean and I loved the Christmas decor they had up! Prices were fair for the quality and alcohol content. They also have flights of 4 5-oz pours for $10.

The building was easy to find, and while the parking lot is large, it seems to serve several nearby businesses, so finding a spot took a little searching. Once inside, we grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted quickly. The bartenders were friendly and got us menus right away. I ordered a flight and tried Golden Zip, Mango Rx, Nice Pear!, and Get to Steppin'. Nice Pear! was the standout -- a super crisp, light cider with a ton of flavor. Mango Rx came in second for me: great flavor, smooth, and not too heavy. For food, I chose the New Kind of Kick sandwich, which features a spicy garlic crispy chicken breast topped with beer-battered jalapeño slices, bleu cheese, and peppered bacon on a ciabatta roll. It was absolutely delicious. The fresh-cut fries were great, too. We also grabbed the mozzarella planks after seeing several tables order them. They were definitely tasty, but the marinara sauce didn't quite match the quality -- pretty basic and a little disappointing compared to how good the planks themselves were. Overall, we really enjoyed our afternoon at Missing Falls and will definitely be back soon!
