DO NOT GO HERE FOR REPAIRS. I took my Chevy Cruze in to get checked out as it had been leaking a fair amount of oil. It took them 2 days to "look at it". Charging $130 an hour for their time. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. The overall estimate for this oil leak was $3700. There is no way that an oil leak can cost $3700. Therefore, we checked around at other places. The place we eventually took it to charged $561 to fix everything that was wrong and plus they changed the oil too. Suburban Chev will SCAM YOU! p.s. I am a female and i took it in with my mother. If I could give them negative stars, I would. They are extremely poorly managed and the employees I interacted with were unpleasant. I brought my car in for a check engine light and after four days I called them because they had not notified me on the status of my car and they told me they could not find a problem. Purchased a car on June 30th they put a 14 temp tag on my car knowing it takes longer than some damn 14 days for the DMV. I have a car with no registration and no plates so therefore I can drive my car. The salesman I had was Lucas he lied to my mom still haven't gotten the key fob for my car. He blames the bank the tile company and I have spoken with each of them and they both say the dealership was to send this information to the dmv. Call the dmv and they said usually the dealership send them the paperwork but they have nothing on my car. It took over 2 hours to get a key fob programmed. Generally not a problem, but they told me 1 hour so I chose to wait. On top of this, we have had at least two incidences where people were supposed to call us back but we never heard from them after leaving multiple messages. The service manager is racist and should not be in the position he is in the dealership itself is a very nice facility the technicians are very honest and good people and the operations director appeared to be very down to earth and a good person. I was a service advisor for a little while and while working here I was belittled, called names and accused of alienating people in the service drive. As a employee here I was honest on time always had great customer service repor with my customers the only thing I had as far as a issue so to speak is that myself and one person did not see eye to eye I did everything I could to make it work and reached out to my service manager for help I was ignored for the most part and in the end told I was the problem I took my job very seriously and no matter how good I was as far as helping the customers and just being a decent person none of that was taken in to consideration at all. Unless your car is under warranty DO NOT go there. They will be more expensive than anyone else around. We only needed a blower replaced, well it's actually a replacement of a replacement they already did a few years ago. We were quoted $275, dropped off the car in a snow storm, then was told the work would be $700. $130 for diagnosing (which is ridiculous seeing as we already knew the issue since it's the exact same as before), $200 for the part. They worked on it for 2-3 hours, so their workers must be paid very very well. They gave us $100 off, but Fire Stone would have done it for less. This is not my only crappy experience with them, but before I was under warranty and therefore needed to go to Chevy. read more

I first heard about this place on the radio and in the first week of February I went in and picked up my 2015 cruze off the show room floor might I add. Right when I walked in the door I was greeted by friendly people who looked like they loved being there and loved doing what they do. They are completely unethical and pulled a "bait and switch" on me in August 2009. Usually don't write negative reviews but holy crap.. $280 to fix my car today.. Here's the story. I went in there and told the guy "I think the negative battery cable is loose, which is a special coverage. And if it's not, call me before you do anything cause I'll want to either fix it myself or know what you're doing before you do it" He was like "alright, if it's not the negative battery cable then it will just be $130 to do a diagnostic and figure out what's wrong with it." So I left. Then I just got a phone call now at the end of the day and he was like "it wasn't the negative battery cable but a rat got into your electrical and chewed a bunch of the wires so I went ahead and fixed it for you and it comes out to $280" I was like uhhhhh... Okay? I wasn't sure what to say cause I had clearly told this dude that I wanted them to call me before they did anything. Place blows. Customer service sucks too. You'll see if you ever have to deal with them Update: I called them back and asked why they completed the service without first contacting me. They explained that the mouse had chewed pretty far down the LAN wiring harness( toward the headlight) and that it would have been silly to put it all back together then have me take it back and fix it. Got a great deal on my 2013 Cruze Eco from here last year, but the nice guy who sold it to me has "jumped ship" due to their supposed pressure to sell being too over-the-top. Well, tonight I'm waiting for my third oil change from their service department and I had an appointment for 7:30pm, showed up a half hour early to be safe. Guy says they can't start til 7:30 -- understandable. It's now almost 9:30... my car has *looked* to be done in their lot since about 8:30 or so (saw them pull it back around, freshly washed). All I had done was a basic oil change, tire rotation (good deal at $5 when paired w oil change, but still), and tire air pressure check. No call as of yet. Maybe if I wait another few hours I can get the work comp'ed, haha. I am not impressed with how my purchase went down. I felt like I was lied to about my car. I was told I should easily get upper 30s mpg w my 2011 cruze and I instead have averaged in the 20s. It has terrible lag in the turbo and is not smooth when accelerating from low speeds. It has also been completely unreliable and in the shop every few months with significant work required. I should have known something was wrong when the salesman was fired before the ink even dried on my paperwork. Thank god I bought an extended warranty. If I could go back in time I would undo this purchase in a heartbeat, and will likely never buy a Chevy again after owning both a Malibu and a cruze. When I speak to people at the dealership about my disappointment it is apparent they were a lot more enthusiastic about selling me a moving piece of metal than making sure it was a quality product. I cannot wait until I am out of this damn car.. Only 4 years to go! Oh - I've also had to rent a car the last two times the car was in the shop, both times over a holiday and for about a week each time. I'm glad I pay nearly $400 a month so I can rent an extra car that actually works. I believe they have loaner cars, but over thanksgiving I was leaving for the extended weekend and was told I couldn't get a rental because once the work was completed I would be required to return the rental car immediately. Very poor service department. They will try to sell things to you to that are not needed to repair issues. The service counter guys are not very pleasant to work with as they made jokes about the issues my car was having. I did not find it enjoyable that my car has issues and they are making jokes. The purchase experience was okay for me with the exception of constant pressuring to always give them high rankings when GM would call to do surveys. If I were to buy another car there, and I will not, I would attempt to negotiate a lower sale price based on my survey results. I think they would actually consider it, that is how much pressure they put on you for positive survey results. read more

Maintaining the low industry standards for customer service. There's an attractive young female who works there and is very happy, service-oriented towards men but does not treat women the same. After two full days in the shop (and paying for a rental car), I hadn't heard anything so I called to check in. The girl answered and was short and rude. "Well if you haven't heard from us then we probably don't have an update." Didn't even ask for my name to check on it. I got a call the third day from a guy who basically said "we can't find the problem, we're really backed up, I was supposed to get two other cars in today and it's already 4pm so I guess I'll work late..." One star goes out to the service department at Suburban Chevrolet. It took 5 hours to change the oil, rotate my tires, and switch out a couple of fuses. No updates while it was being done either. This was for my work vehicle on company time which made the wait a little less painful, but I would highly suggest Midas or someone else that knows what they are doing. read more

Awful customer service. I started to work with a salesman on Monday (didn't get a good vibe since the beginning) then decided not to after my husband knocked some sense into me.. We went to a different Chevrolet dealership that evening and chose to lease our car from them. I've been driving my new car since Tuesday and I am STILL getting phonecalls/voicemails from Suburban Chevrolet saying I had missed an appointment I never had. The guy came out as usual, but instead of letting me get the car I wanted, he tried to convince me to get some corner lot POS and "build it" up to be a better car than the new factory upgaded model I was originally interested in. Be aware when buying a used vehicle from Suburban Chevrolet that there is not a 30 day warranty or any support from them the minute you leave the dealership. Yes, you do sign an "As-is" disclaimer when you buy a used car from them, but most dealerships will at least take a look at the vehicle within 30 days if you have an issue. I bought a used 2013 pickup truck with 76K miles, and I noticed an oil burning smell soon after buying the truck. Oil was leaking from the rear of the engine and dripping onto the exhaust, so I called Suburban Chevrolet asking them to take a look at it and possibly take care of the issue, because I only had the truck for 3 weeks and less than 1000 miles. The response I got was "you signed an As-is statement and there is nothing that we can do to help you". I thought this was unprofessional and would at least expect them to have me bring it in so they could take a look. Maybe it was a minor issue and they could resolve it, making for a happy customer. Or, they could potentially get service business after convincing me that this oil leak was not evident when they did their lengthy inspection checklist on all used vehicles where they told me that everything is in perfect working condition. read more
