Who knew propane tank refills were this close and easy to do. Highly recommended, better than tank swapping.

Had my new (used) motorhome propane tank filled. The young gentleman was very polite and thorough.

We had to fill up our RV LP tank and the parking lot was large so that we can easily maneuver our RV! Quick and easy LP fill up!

I use a remote gauge and it's pretty accurate, and I have no issue doing it this way. This gives them an idea how much fuel we're burning and allows them to get me on the delivery schedule. With any snow or ice storm, I clear the driveway, our sidewalk and I remember to clear a path to the tank. This last storm (1/25/2026) was brutal, a lot of sleet and freezing rain. The driver showed up as scheduled on Feb 3rd and was thrilled to see a clean spot on the street for him to park the truck, with a clear path to the tank. And hats off to the delivery guys, they're awesome!

Economy Propane called our neighbor 2 days later said they were not coming because there was snow on the street. There is snow on every street in the city. The Federal authorities have issued an emergency order allowing fuel to be delivered on snowy or icy roads. Economy Propane said they didn't care even though our street is pool table flat. I have always had relatively good experiences with Valley Energy. However, I'm now done based on…read morethis past experience. I guess it does take only one bad experience. Poor management when questioned. I had an issue about whether 800 gallons was actually delivered to my home. I have a 1,000 gallon propane tank -- when I got to about 150 to 175 gallons, I called for a refill. When I received the refill, they refilled to 800 gallons (which is typical -- 80% total). They gave me a bill for exactly 800 gallons delivered. I questioned the invoice because I knew I called in when there was no less than 150 gallons, which means if I had 150 and they put 800 in that I'd have 950 total. They said they put in 800 and my tank must have been completely at zero and that my gauge must be wrong. I check my gauge every week and know it was not at zero or even close to it. My email was initially ignored, then it was clearly misread when it was responded to and not sent to management. I had to call to get a manager (or I think they connected me to a dispatcher), who tried to placate me to get me off the phone with the understanding he would follow up in a couple of ways, which he never did. When I finally followed up a few weeks later by email, the assistant contacted the the manager (or dispatcher) who told her to pass along that the driver who made the delivery was contacted and said that there were in fact 800 gallons delivered and everything seemed ok at the time of delivery. My emails to Valley Energy and my discussions were clear in that I was not seeking not to pay for gas I did not receive. I was interested in finding out if my gauge was wrong to have it fixed, or to learn if the gas truck that did deliver to my home reported the wrong amount as being delivered (they track all amounts all day) -- I indicated perhaps at the end of the day there may have been an extra 200 gallons on the truck. In any event, they handled it wrong and they lost a customer. I was with them four years and will be no longer. This experience leaves me with a taste of mismanagement, possible dishonesty and siphoned gas in my mouth. I'm not suggesting Valley Energy actually billed for gas they didn't provide to me, but the way they handled this incident, it gives me great pause to consider whether it is just bad customer service. I've lost my faith in them.

We just had a whole house generator installed, and this is the company that we used to set up and fill the propane tanks that will power the generator. The initial delivery of the tanks was coordinated by the generator installation company, however, from the day of tank delivery up until now everything has been fantastic. Dennis, the delivery driver who brought, installed, and filled the tanks up was very helpful. He answered all of my questions and took great care to install the tanks in a manner that was safe and in the location that I needed. When dealing with the staff that has handled everything else when I've called, I've been incredibly impressed. I initially spoke to Lynn, who just like Dennis, patiently answered all of my numerous questions. She explained the process of getting us set up with our own account and what to expect for the next steps in the process. Now that everything is up and running, I had the pleasure of speaking to Mary yesterday. Again, Mary was very helpful, professional, but also very friendly and personable. I love supporting locally owned small businesses and I'm so glad this is the company that the generator installation company works with because I could not have picked a better company to service my tanks! If you're looking for a propane company, definitely give them a call. Their prices are reasonable, the service is great, and I have been very pleased already.

Reserving is easy. Anything else is a pain in the @ss…read more We're moving my daughter to college in a few weeks. As her pile of absolutely necessary belongings grew, so did my concern that everything might not fit in the back of my SUV. As a backup plan, I went online and reserved a 9' U-Haul cargo van. Eventually, she pared things down to a manageable level, and I realized we wouldn't need the van after all. That's when I made the mistake of thinking canceling the reservation would be as easy as making it. Instead, I began an hour-long journey down the rabbit hole of U-Haul customer abuse--or, as I'm sure they call it, "customer service." I clicked the "Manage My Reservation" link in the original confirmation email. Before I could do anything, U-Haul needed to send me a verification code. I entered my phone number and waited. Nothing. I tried again, this time using my email, and waited some more. Nothing. So I called the local U-Haul office. When someone finally answered, they asked if I wouldn't mind holding and put me on hold before I had a chance to respond. Every 10 minutes or so, they'd come back on the line, ask again if I wouldn't mind holding, and--without waiting for an answer--put me right back on hold. This went on for more than half an hour. All the while, a recording repeatedly assured me how important I was to U-Haul as a customer. Eventually, one of the verification codes I'd requested more than 30 minutes earlier finally showed up, allowing me to cancel the reservation online. I hung up without ever actually getting help from the person who'd been keeping me on hold. U-Haul is probably the best-known name in truck rentals and, for a lot of people, the first place that comes to mind when they need to haul something. It certainly was for me. Not anymore. The next time I need a truck or cargo van, I'll make a point of looking elsewhere.
