We have had a very bad experience with this place they are very unprofessional insensitive and careless. We had our granddaughter's quincianera this past Saturday and renting tuxedos there was a mess. We were supposed to get discount if the whole group rented from them which did not happen. They gave us wrong color dress shirts and when we went back to exchange we were treated with attitude. My dress shirt was dirty and they exchanged it for another one but was lt let to try it out was told it was same size a previous one and the day of the event the collar did close the material was very hot. There was a hole int the coat jacket à tear in the side pocket of the pants. But the worst of all my wife the grandma was shown a dress she liked to n à catalog and paid to have it ordered mas it was on the catalog, when it came time for her to try it so they could make adjustments the dress was nothing close to the one on the catalog, my wife told them it was not the dress she liked and paid for and was treated with bad attitude, she asked for a refund and was told they could not do that or could not offer to be exchange for a different dress. We were told their policy was no exchange no refund or discount for a new dress. We asked to speak to the owner and were given different excuses from the one we being hospitalized to he was out of the country for emergency matters. Till today we have not received a solution to the matter and will report this to the consumer affairs and proceed with suing them. $99 for suit rental with deposit. Came in got measurements and when we picked up the suits they didn't fit. Drastic differences from the measurements taken, I understand small differences but these suits were completely different sizes. The white shirts looked brown from the edges from the continued use. At some point you have rented them out too much and they need to invest in new ones. Several buttons popped off from the vest and shirts. Ladies were not rude. very helpful and did somewhat fix the issues so the boys could wear the suits. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I had the worst experience here. I got married in 2015 had started planning my wedding in spring of 2014. I had placed orders for my copas, my wedding dress, bride maids dress and suits the groomsmen would wear. All was well Julia was very nice. I live out of town so I made several visits to this place, thankfully I had taken pictures of everything I picked and had a binder. When I had gone back she had no recollection of my copas. In the last visit she said the one I had chosen was the last set and that she would put it aside for me. She apparently didn't and must've given it to someone else she assured me that she would have them ordered and it would be here in time for my wedding. On my next visit which was months later she still hadn't had the copas order and once again forgot about them. She assured me once again that she would have them here before my wedding. And her seeing that I was upset pulled out a box where she pulled out a bridal bouquet that was clearly separated for another bride and offered it to me for free, I declined it. One month before my wedding she contacts me to let me know that the suits I had ordered for my groomsmen didn't fit one of the grooms and that I would have to choose a new set. This information would've been greatly appreciated months in advance since we had ordered the suits basically a year before my wedding. One week before my wedding we go to pick up everything, she orders the wrong copas y recuerdos. On my final visit to pick up the copas she had finally ordered the right ones but one of them was broken at this point it was too late to order a new set so I took the original that she had ordered that was wrong. Clearly this experience still upsets me till this day seeing as my wedding was in 2015 and we are now in 2019. Do not go here they are the worst in customer service and are so disorganized and to fix their mistakes take items from other customers who have already placed orders for those items to make this customer they've already messed with up, happy. I had my wedding party rent their Tux at Suburbia and couldn't believe all the $*%T i went through with Suburbia Bridal. Suburbia took all of the guys measurements a month before the event and when the guys picked them up, nothing fit properly. The pants were not long enough, the sleeves on the shirts were too short and I had guys with different vest and the colors didn't even match. What's the point of taking measurements if they cant order the right size? I had specifically requested "skinny" black ties and all the guys were given regular thick ties which i hated. When i checked my fathers tux and the Groom's tux both were incomplete. I immediately called Suburbia and told them the Tuxes were missing the vest and also mentioned that the ties were incorrect for all groomsmen. They told me they would have them ready the next day on Friday 5pm. I had someone go pick up the items at 6pm and they were not ready. They ended up delivering them to my home later that night which was the least they could do after all they had put me through already. On the wedding day, my brothers shoes' completely broke. Both shoe soles fell off. Total embarrassment for my groomsmen. His jacket was too small which looked ridiculous for the pictures. When i brought the tuxes back and made my complaints the owner refunded me a whole $40 and mentioned he was going to loose money because of the refund. I paid thousands of dollars for my photographer which was going to show all the bad tuxes and embarrassments and the owner was complaining about $40??? Really?? Awful service and bad quality tuxes. I've been a customer of Suburbia for a long time now for 15+ years, from my own wedding, and my brothers and sisters have also gotten all of there wedding things needed from the dresses and tuxedos to the photographers and limos. I was scrolling through the reviews and realized that everything that was being said was due to the older woman named "Julia" I remember seeing her with customers and it seemed like she was the problem that the store had. That woman is no longer working there do to all of the mistakes she used to make and the attitude she had towards the customers. Isaac is the owner and he is one of the nicest people I've ever meet, he's very family oriented and enjoys speaking and spending time with his customers, he's definitely a hands on boss. The ladies there are very hard working and are very respectful to their customers. Since I've been in the store for many different events I've seen so many different type of people come in and out of those doors some more than others. A lot of people come in being super disrespectful and trying to make a scene when a lot of people are there and honestly want make the women working there feel like trash and think that just because they are paying they feel the right to walk all over them which is not that case. I went to this location because my soon to be mother-in-law recommended it. I ordered dresses for my bridal party, they did not get there for about 6 months. I went in to see the dress only to find that it was not the right color. I ordered champagne, the dress was mocha. My sales associate kept trying to say that the company that made that dress was their shade of champagne. There was NO WAY BROWN IS CHAMPAGNE. I was there for three hours before they considered re-ordering the dresses. A week later the dress came in and they ordered some of the girls an XL. Most of my bridesmaids are S or M not even Large which was another headache to get them tailored and the girls were upset. I would not recommend this to any bride. Worst place ever in san fernando. People are very unorganized, never have anything done on time, payed lots of money for my neice's quinceañera. From the first day to the end worst experience ever. Video and photos were done horribly. Tux are very cheap quality. The day before my event we picked up the tux and where all wrong we spent 2 hours figuring out wat fits who. Not to mention they had preorder them. My event was june 2016. And berly received my video because it was done poorly. The owner is very kind. I wish he would get new employees. I've been planning my wedding for a year and a half now I've been going to suburbia ever since and I've had the best experience! Every time I go the service is great! Everyone is so welcoming. I went in today for some alterations and the ladies were so sweet. I can't wait for the day I get to pick up my dress. I myself recommend this store 100%. Honestly one of the worst places we have ever been to. We worked with Doña Julia as far as getting our tux rentals for my wedding, She is very unorganized, and makes false promises. They gave me a deal to buy my tux and the rest of my groomsmen where going to rent, but I figured since I am buying my tux I should be able to pick it up in a couple of days right?. Wrong.....she was telling us it was going to take 4 weeks to get the suit. After complaining and them getting the suit a week after, they ordered the wrong color! I wish I would have read the comments BEFORE placing my order here. I had such a STRESSFUL AND HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE!!!!! I ordered a little boys suit for a baptism along with shoes and the box set needed for the baptism ceremony. The order was promised to me on a Wednesday which was 6 days after I placed the order. Come Wednesday my order wasn't even processed yet!!!! WTF?!?!? The order form was on top of the box set I ordered and my suit and shoes hadn't even been ordered. Julia (which wrote down my order) asked if I could come back the next day and promised to have my order complete. I went two days later and the shoes and trousers weren't ready because they weren't on the order form for some reason. Omg this lady is such a headache. I'm only posting because I had the worst experience here. The first time I went I thought I had found my wedding dress. I was measured, put a down payment ahead of time and was ready to go. I even bought wedding shoes. A month later I didn't hear about my dress. I kept calling and calling and was not given any feedback. Finally, I had to straight-out ask the person over the phone about my dress and I was told that my wedding dress was discontinued. I was livid! I went 2 months before my wedding to this place and had to find a dress at least 3 weeks before my wedding because of this place. How stressful did I feel!!! I got my down payment back and never looked back! I ended up going to David's Bridal and definitely had the best experience there! I found my dress and cried once I found it. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! And I couldn't do anything about it because the event was that weekend (they told us to pick up the items the Wednesday before). The event was Quiceañera & we order tuxedos; they took advantage of the kids were not knowing of what the orders were, by trying to swap the vest. We asked for satin coral vest and they swap it for a very tacky Vegas style dealer's vest. Thank goodness I came during the end when the boys were trying on the tuxs. I brought this to there attention and that said, "oh we don't have enough." , Then I said that's the purpose of us placing order in advance to reserve these items for our event. There where no apologizes just an oh well attitude from staff. Second, the tuxs weren't fitting properly and change so many times that I don't understand why they took measurements if they don't follow them. Third, they made one of the guys wear a different color tux and I complained again and they said oh were don't carry that size in that color. I was like why didn't you say that when taking the measurements then the lady had a audacity to have an attitude an yell at us to hurry up and pick up another suit (which was still not the right color) cause she was standing outside in the cold waiting for us. Fourth, they gave the main usher a dirty & wrong color suit. They never gave us a COPY OF THE ORDER so we could dispute that, which they probably did on purpose. Finally the shoe where in beat up conditions and with all the complaint they didn't try to make the customer happy. I wouldn't send anyone to them not even an enemy. They were over staffed yet no very helpful. They were very rude, like it bothered them to have our business. They ordered the wrong size and then said they could alter it, but it wouldn't be ready for another 3 days. Which is an inconvenience because we drove an hour and a half to pick up the dress. When mentioned they had to talk about what their options were and then told us that they could have it ready by today but to be there at 3 to pick it up because they were closing early because it's Mother's Day, like we didn't have mother day plans that didn't consist of waiting 2 hours to have a dress altered because they didn't make sure the right size was ordered.
