The menu doesn't disclose that you can only do that on cold sandwiches. That's nice they do that but if you wait in line 25 mins with your menu item in mind but they won't do the halvsie thing it's frustrating. Especially since the sandwiches are mostly all over $14. So then you have to make a split second decision and order something else you sorta wanted but not really. I say that bc I originally wanted a hot sandwich but I can't eat a whole one. When they wouldn't let me do that with the half of a sandwich I decided to try to do that with the Bruce, which was the monthly special turns out I couldn't do that either. This is a retro looking gas station, but there was also a car show going on while we were there. It was still daylight when we got there so we decided to eat at the soda shop. The food was good. I got the chicken sandwich and fries, my husband got chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I really wanted to try the Root Beer Bread Pudding. But I didn't. The girls behind the soda bar were very friendly. Here's a first few things you should know. Pops 66 it's located in Arcadia Oklahoma. The soda bottle is 66 feet tall it even has a straw in it. Pops opened in 2007 and they have over 700 different sodas to pick from. They have picnic tables, outback, but I didn't see anybody sitting at them and there was a bunch of people here.

I arrived and was put off a little by the sign that said it was cash only, their card reader was down. This sort of stuff drives me crazy because I am usually going to these type of restaurants as a destination and it took me an hour to get there. I didn't have cash, but luckily the gas station next door has an ATM. So let's just say I went into Mugsy's a little grumpy. I was seated in a nice booth in a clean dining room and placed my order. I ordered the 4M sandwich with onion rings, and I ordered a brisket philly cheesesteak as a to go order that I plan on eating for dinner. Ended up getting the peach fried pie as well. Food came quickly with large portions, especially for the price. The prices are very reasonable for bbq in this day and age. The owner came out and talked with each patron individually and was very welcoming. When he found out I came specifically to eat, he ran into the other room and brought me a couple of mugs and a to go menu to have if I was ever driving through. He was very nice and I enjoyed the conversation. Some might think he's trying a bit too hard, but I thought it was a nice touch. Especially since he seemed very genuine in his excitement to meet everyone. The 4 M sandwich is a 4 meat sandwich with brisket, Pulled pork, bologna, and sausage, on a very sturdy bun. The meat was all good, except the brisket was a little over done. But not really a big deal, as the sandwich was pretty good. I did NOT care for the BBQ sauce (and I LOVE sauce) as it seemed more like ketchup than BB sauce. It wasn't offensive, I just didn't like it as I felt it was rather bland. The onion rings were 10/10, my favorite style. The peach fried pie was probably the best fried pie I've ever had. So tasty. We were greeted with a friendly smile and seated quickly. We ordered very different dishes from one another; Enchiladas and the Sooner Burger. Five minutes later, the waiter brought out freshly fried chips and homemade salsa large enough for the two of us (came with the enchiladas). The half pound hamburger with bacon and cheese was amazing with a nice smoky flavor and thick cut bacon. The huge portion of enchiladas was also tasty enough to have been served at a Mexican restaurant. We'll definitely be coming back anytime we're in the area!
