Kind of gross. There are flies all over the food and even in it. But I guess they gave up long ago.

this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars…read more If you know me, you'll know i'm a soda fiend. I know its so bad for me, but I love soda.... especially cherry coke. I stopped here in the morning, and it was a interesting stop. The two things that stood out were the large metal soda structure in front and the numerous soda bottles glued inside the building. both are definitely good photos ops, during your route 66 trip. Judging from other pictures, if you stop here during the night, the soda bottle outside lights up. obviously, as the name implies, this place has so many soda choices. They group everything in different sections: Root beer, coke, orange, ginger ale, cherry... etc. I think most soda bottles are $2.99 They also sell gas here, but if memory serves me correct, the gas is more expensive than what you'll find in OKC, so if you can make it back to the city, i'd recommend skipping getting gas here. Inside the store, you can order food, but i can't comment since we didn't get food here. There are a lot of other snacks and souvenirs you can buy.

Pops is definitely an iconic stop upon Route 66 that I highly recommend they have a large selection…read moreof unique sodas that you might not find everywhere else on top of that an amazing place to see some classic cars. Have a great lunch and just a perfect pitstop along the way. One thing we like to do instead of buying individual sodas we get the six pack and try some random flavors. We've never tried before. Perfect for road trips. You're definitely able to even stop and fill up your gas if you need to get some ice for the road and a few other things so don't feel like it's out of the way when you're traveling it's just one of those places that becomes a favorite family stop One thing it doesn't have much of is seating for a lot of people, but they do typically get that food out pretty quick so you can eat and get back on the road

Patties Hamburgers & Roast Beef - Edmond, OK…read more In my ongoing hunt for solid comfort food around Edmond, I decided to give Patties Hamburgers & Roast Beef a try--and this one is definitely worth a visit. It's a relatively small spot on 2nd Street, but don't let the size fool you. This place delivers big where it matters: hot, made-to-order food and friendly service that makes you feel welcome right away. I walked in fully intending to go with a classic burger... but sometimes you've got to listen to the people. On their way out, a couple told us it was their first visit too and highly recommended the French Dip and the daily special. That was all I needed--I made the audible. What We Ordered: * French Dip with au jus and fries * Chili Cheeseburger with fries The Food: The French Dip was the star for me--tender beef, plenty of melted cheese, and that au jus brought it all together. Solid, no-frills comfort food done right. The chili cheeseburger was messy (in a good way) and packed with flavor. Fries were crispy and did their job. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly how you want it. The Vibe: Casual, laid-back, and exactly what you'd expect from a local comfort food joint. Nothing fancy--but that's not why you're here. Service: Very friendly across the board. You can tell they care about the experience, and that goes a long way. Final Thoughts: This is one of those places where you already know you'll be back before you leave. Next visit, I'm going all-in on the burger lineup--and after seeing that dessert case, I may need to save room. If you're in Edmond and craving comfort food, put this one on your list.
