I normally don't write bad reviews. But I got into an accident in December. It was not my fault. I went over there first because they had treated my son well. They took pictures and told me they'd be in touch. 2 weeks went by then 3 before I knew it, New Years had passed. I wasn't really in a hurry because the car was working fine, it was just bodywork that had to be done. Then we had the first snowstorm of the season and the weight of the snow was making the wheel mount which got hit in the accident worse, enough that my husband was like I should get this done. Lo and behold it wasn't till I called that Subway told me they had decided not to do the work. What??!! It would've been nice if they had told me. Their reasons were valid reasons but still IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY HAD TOLD ME. In fact, when I asked if they could recommend anyone else the person said something like just go down the street I'm sure you'll find someone. I went to Superior Autobody down the street where they treated me with respect and updated me every step of the way. You'd think because there are so many body shops on this street that treating customers well would be a priority. I guess Subway doesn't need my or my family's business. My car doesn't look like a Frankenstein car anymore and it was no thanks at all to Subway. I will have my son go to Superior next time. read more

If you don't have GEICO, you are not a priority. My car has been there for a month and counting. Each time I speak with the rep it is a different story. I did my part, and insurance has provided a scenario to repair the vehicle. I just need to "get in line and wait" though. I came to this shop because it was highly recommended. This is not a paid review. I have taken my car to this body shop on several occassions and never had an isssue. The Enterprise rental car being on premise made it easy to pick up my rental that was setrup by my Geico agent. The technicians even chamged my brake light for free which was a plius. The quality of the repair was good and I will go back for any of my auto body needs. read more

Unfortunately I've had to have (3) vehicles repaired here in 2024. I say unfortunately because that indicates that I've had (3) accidents in (1) year. Two were hit while parked and (1) I was rear ended while sitting at a red light, smh. Not my year. Fortunately in all (3) cases, my vehicles were repaired to like new condition. The longest repair taking merely 5 days. I've only had to return just (1) vehicle (my Escalade that was rear ended) due to a sensor problem. They immediately had their specialist come diagnose the vehicle and it was returned back to me in (1) day. There's even the convenience of an Enterprise Car Rental in the same building in case you need transportation while awaiting repairs. I'm not sure about the cost as my insurance handled the bills in all (3) occasions. I would definitely return here for repairs if needed in the future, but hopefully NOT! Lol read more

Fixed the car, mostly. After the collision, it wouldn't start. This was clearly documented in claims. For whatever reason they didn't consider any damage to the battery and just wrote it off. Bought a new battery, doing okay. I dunno. I just feel like when you get your car back from collision, it should be in the same working order as it was prior to the collision. BLUF: DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS! Look elsewhere. In February of 2021, I was directed by Geico to go to Subway Auto Body for the repairs on my car. Initially, there were no issues, the staff was courteous and responsive and did the majority of the work fairly quick. I also needed a windshield replacement as part of the repairs and they didn't have one in stock so the person handling my case, Brandon, told me I could come pick the truck up and they would call me when the windshield came in so I wasn't in the rental for too long. At the time, I thought that was really nice of him to do and so I went back and picked up the truck. The work was done satisfactorily; however, there were a couple missed spots but again...didn't seem like too big of a deal. Fast forward six months, still no call back on the windshield. I called numerous times and was essentially blown off every time so I went through Geico again to have them handle it as I was only getting increasingly frustrated. After the insurance adjuster contacted the shop, they got back to me and miraculously had a windshield now. Thinking I was at the end of this ordeal, I scheduled for them to swap the windshield. They sent a crew to my house to do it and it was done poorly. There were mini scratches on the windshield and they damaged the clear coat on the roof. Furious now, I went back in and showed Brandon what happened and he took the truck back in to see if they could buff out the scratches on the window but they were unable to do so. He tells me he will call me back to schedule a time to bring it in so they can take the windshield off and try to fix it while it's not on the truck and they'd fix the clear coat. Zero heard. I tried calling them back and received the same runaround so I went back through Geico and they were able to make contact with the shop but were told they were once again waiting on a windshield. It is now June 2022; 16 months after I took the truck in for the initial repair and it still has not been completed. I do not recommend anyone use this shop for anything. I am appalled at their lack of concern and customer service. read more

I have had to call the shop consistently to get updates on the car and parts when they said they would keep me up to date on the progress. Horrible, horrible, and horrible, are simply the only words that can be used to describe this place. I was involved in a fender bender, that had an estimated $2,800 in repairs. This is where the Geico inspection occurred so I said to leave it there to have it's work done. Prior to any work being done, on the same day it was dropped off, I had called and said I was no longer interested in having work done at this location and would be taking it somewhere else. They said okay and that they would call me back about picking it up. I then received a message the next day from my geico agent that my estimated value in damages went up by an additional $9,000 because it needed a whole new bumper. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED Subway Auto Body and TOLD THEM I WANTED MY CAR BACK AND NOT FOR THEM TO WORK ON IT. I was then transferred to Ian, who was responsible for my car, and he did not answer so I left a voicemail saying I was picking my car up and not to work on it. I then called back to the receptionist and told her he did not answer and that I wanted to pick my car up and she said she would call me back in regards to picking it up. NEVER CALLED BACK AGAIN. Then I called them Monday and again was told I would receive a call back about picking it up because Ian was on lunch. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. So today, I decided I was just going to show up and get my car back. Upon arriving I find my car in the parking lot COMPLETELY STRIPPED DOWN AND DISMEMBERED. They then refused to give me my keys unless I paid for the work they had done??? The work I had said NOT TO DO FROM THE GET. They entirely destroyed my car and are taking no responsibility for it. Pictured below is the damage to my car, they tried to give an estimate at approximately $13,000... for a fender bender. What a joke of an establishment. As you can see THERE WAS VIRTUALLY NO DAMAGE. I recently had an experience with Subway Auto body in gambrills, I had some damage done to my door and back quarter panel on my SUV, was told it was ready 3 days later, when I went to look at it you could tell where the body work was done right in the middle of the door and you could see in the sunlight the ripples from the edge of the body work but the owner refused to fix it said he didn't get paid for that, the owner Randy is a mouthpiece for his company he does not get involved in the body work or paint personally all he is is a mouthpiece for the company a salesman, and a smooth talker he refused to fix my door and I doubt he'll ever see me again, I reported my experience to State farm about him also people need to know what they're looking at when they pick their car up I expected a straight job on the body work the paint and the paint match color were great the body work was half assed, the owner Randy has got a thousand excuses to cover for his not acceptable body works, that his guys are doing read more

Great body shop! Had an accident and insurance was paying for the repairs, the repairs were done in a timely manner and with excellent results. They even have a txt message system that updates you on the expected completion date and a link where you can view the estimated costs and timeline. This is my first review ever and it's because I am really disappointed. Do not come to this shop if you care about your car please. I brought my car in for 3 dents on my door. They had to replace my door. When I go pick up my car, I found the red cap of my battery inside the car and my car would not start, they had to come jump start it. Whenever I roll down the window my window would sound like s***, it makes a horrible noise, they also broke and scratched the part of my car where I change from P to D, etc. They also didn't put a cap on the door that is supposed to be on the door and now I can see the screw on the door, i don't know what they did with the cap for my door. Every employee I talked to was really nice. They also said they will replace my glass for free so it doesn't make that horrible noise since they have lifetime warranty, but I sent them and email about the broken and scratched part of my car from where I change from P to D and they never replied, and I just found out today about the missing cap of the screw for my door. Also I went to the car wash and water get inside my car through the window tht they didn't place well. I just hope I don't keep finding scratches or things missing in my car. Great job on the actual job that they were supposed to get done but for the rest that had NOTHING to do with it... I was expecting to pick up my car they way I left it when I dropped it off. They're nice people but they do not know how to take proper care of cars. UPDATE: My dad opened the door and he was able to fix it himself! My door did not need a new window, they just didn't screw some parts of the door and so the door was loose and my dad was also able to find the screw that was running and making noise inside the door. Also, they ordered a new cap for the screen on my door to replace the one they lost but they did not respond for my broken gear shift, they just didn't say anything about it and when i asked if they ordered one after finding out they order a new cap for the door they just said no... Anyways, please be careful if you want to take your car to this shop. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

In Jan 2016 I was in an accident. My 2013 Altima had front bumper, hood and fender damage. I had GEICO ins. and they suggested Subway Auto. I had no issues. I got my car back when promised. All the work was done to my satisfaction. Here is the kicker. June 2019, 3 and a half years later, I noticed the clear coat on the bumper was peeling. I took it back to the shop and much to my surprise, they took care of it at no charge to me. They even changed my front turn signal bulb that had blown out a couple days before. They definitely stand by their work. I hope I dont have a need for a body shop anytime soon but if I do, they are getting my business. read more

In all fairness, I only got a quote from these folks but that was plenty... I had some self-inflicted parking lot front end damage to my Honda Civic so wanted to pay out of pocket for the repair. I took it initially to Subway Auto Body and the lady there quoted me $1894 for the repair and stated with certainty that it would be more because she was unable to open the hood because of the fender and there would certainly be more damage. She also said it would take more than a week to repair. I decided to get other quotes and went to a nearby competitor. The guy there came out to look at it. Popped the hood (recall, Subway said there was unseen damage under it). He did his computer hocus pocus and said it would be $1450. I asked how firm the quote was and he looked perplexed and said it would cost $1450. I asked how long it would take and he said two days. read more

I have always taken my vehicles to subway whenever a repair was needed. Over the years I have been to subway at least ten times from major repairs to small dings and dents and I can say that I have always felt the highest customer satisfaction. When they make a repair it looks like the accident never happened. They have worked on my Mercedes, GMC Denali, Chevy Truck and Cadillac. I have always referred friends and family to them and they too have always felt that the work performed was of the highest quality. I am not sure where the negative reviews are coming from because this shop is honest and performs quality work. read more

Horrible customer service. I turned my vehicle into Subway Auto Body for repair. Conveniently there is an Enterprise Rental Car in the same shop to get a vehicle. Everything seemed fine. Received a phone-call that my vehicle was done 6 days prior to the first phone call notice that the vehicle was completed. I checked my phone registry for a missed call. Nope not there. Problem is that my insurance did not cover the extra 6 days of my rental from when my vehicle was finished. On top of getting charged an extra $250 dollars for a rental I also have a dead battery. I was not at all happy with my experience. Tried calling the Auto body shop for an explanation, no return calls. I would not recommend. read more

We had an accident a few weeks ago. Upon recommendation from a friend, I contacted Subway for an appointment for an estimate. They got me in quickly, coordinated with the other person's insurance company, gave me the estimate and a time to bring the vehicle back for repair. Having been in retail health industry for 34 years, I must confess, I haven't seen an enterprise so intent on treating their customers with the utmost courtesy and concern in a very long time. Melissa at the desk and Rick, the service rep were both wonderful. The vehicle was repaired per their timeline and the work looked great. To make the experience that much easier, there is an Enterprise Car Rental desk in the building. They too were very accommodating. They're at the top of my list for excellent service and body repair. We had our car towed here when it was undriveable. We asked for an estimate and were given one, and we asked if it was possible to reattach our existing bumper rather than replace it. We were on the fence about fixing the bumper or just buying a new car because the car is old and has 200K miles on it. We waited to hear back about whether the bumper could be reattached or not and never heard back. Eventually we called back to find out what was going on, and when they called back, they left a message that the car was in the paint shop and would be ready the following day and the cost would be $300 more than the highest price in the range we were originally quoted. This without us even authorizing them to start the work, because we were waiting to hear if the existing bumper could be reattached. So, the next day (Friday) we never hear from them. On Monday we called about the car to find out what was going on and discuss the price discrepancy and they were completely unwilling to work with us or even admit that they should have confirmed we wanted to go forward. And they tell us that we also have another problem that needs to be addressed. If we had talked to someone before they started and known that it would be $300 more than the highest price quoted AND we have to do more work, we probably would have scrapped the car and bought another one. Instead, my husband spent a ton of time arguing with them on the phone, I spent more time in the shop arguing and finally they admitted it was their fault and dropped the price. It was such a hassle. All we wanted was to talk about what happened and reasonably reach an agreement, but instead they were obstinate and treated us like we were crazy and unreasonable. I've had many car repairs done before and never have they proceeded with work without verbally (usually in writing!!!) confirming the cost in advance. If additional work is required in a service contract, you should stop and call the customer and confirm it's okay to continue. They never even got the authorization to start, let alone to incur additional costs. If you want hassle free car repairs, this is not the place to go. read more

Our experience at Subway Auto Body was outstanding. From Melissa, the receptionist, to Randy, the owner, everyone in this shop was friendly, highly professional, and completely competent. Our car had been poorly repaired by a previous outfit, and after about 5 years of living with the substandard work (including a major leak that left water in the trunk every time it rained), we decided to take the car (a Honda Civic) to Subway for troubleshooting and correction. We were able to schedule an appointment very quickly and had our car back in a couple of days. The workmanship was excellent - the leak was diagnosed and repaired, bad welds were redone, rust was removed and metal repainted were needed, and seams and seals were adjusted to ensure proper fit. Randy took a personal interest in ensuring that the job was done right and fully explained what was done when we came to pick up the car. It should be noted that Subway is a Honda Certified Company whose technicians have received specific training from Honda. If you are in the market for an auto body shop, regardless of the make or model of your vehicle, you will likely be happy with Subway; but if you have a Honda, you should probably come here first. read more

This place advertises a lifetime warranty on their repairs so I thought nothing of it when I noticed that my front bumper protruded out a few centimeters and was not placed in perfectly. Over time, the bumper got worse and slowly began to detach on one side. When I brought it back I was accused of having been in another accident and that I should file another claim with my insurance policy. I will not be using this place for repairs again and I cannot recommend anyone to do so either. read more

My husband and I went to an outdoor concert and followed the line of cars parking in the grass. I felt something hit under my car and when we got home we looked to see a piece hanging down in the front. I took my car to Subway Auto Body to get an estimate on the repair and Casey came out to look at the damage. He told me he wanted to move the car to a place where he could get underneath and reconnect the underbody panel and that he would check for any other damage. Less than 20 minutes later my car was fixed and no other damage was detected. I was beyond shocked when I was told there was no charge for the repair. It's nice there are some places who will just help you and not charge excessive fees for unnecessary work. I'm planning to take my car back for some minor paint touch ups that I've been ignoring because I feel they will do a good job for a fair price. Had my work van hit on drivers side large panel that was to say the least destroyed. Allstate wanted to replace panel with with a recycled one from another van. The owner Randy informed me they would not do the repair do to the recycled panel would have part of the roof and floor still attached and much more damage would be done to the panel trying to remove the roof and floor area that was not needed, makes sense to me, why create more work when not needed. Allstate agreed to replace with a new panel from factory which was my ultimate goal. My van was dropped off on a Monday morning and was ready that Friday early morning. Upon arrival I inspected my van and was very pleased to see a professional job. The paint job was flawless!!! Everything lined up and looked awesome. If there was 1 thing I could recommend it would be to try to communicate a little better during the whole process from beginning to end, I can take in consideration there is insurance company's involved so not everything will go smooth like you would want it to. These guys were great to work with and I would have no problem recommending them. Honesty - Integrity - Quality are of the up most importance in a business and this was displayed during my experience here.
