Last year, a perfect job was done installing body side moldings on a new Mazda CX5. That same car brushed under a tree branch (oops) and scratches resulted on the roof. Fortunately a staff member rendered an opinion that the scratches could possibly be removed by using a liquid lacquer. And, he did what was needed, easily. Wow, was I impressed. Moreover, there was no charge. I am greatly appreciative and strongly recommend this shop.

John Brady took his time to assess the situation and then went WAY above and beyond to work on the two spots for about 15 minutes. When he was done, the scratches were barely noticeable. Several years ago the front end of one of our cars was damaged when someone backed into us. It was repaired at a collision shop in Annapolis, but the left front fender panel was not properly secured to the body and kept coming loose. I just tapped it back into place each time, but over time it got worse so I looked into getting it repaired properly. I took it back to the body shop that did the original work, and they gave me an estimate of $300+, much more than I wanted to spend. So last week I headed to Chinquapin Round Rd. area where there are at least 3 collision shops. I stopped first at Severn Auto Body-Chinquapin. I hesitated because it's a big facility with a huge parking area, which I assumed would entail paperwork, bureaucracy, and higher costs. But the totally unexpected happened - as I explained to the desk rep that I was looking for an inexpensive practical fix for a loose fender, regional manager Todd Chilcote overhead me, introduced himself, and offered to take a look. He then asked for the keys and said he'd be back in 10 minutes, and he was! The fender was securely fastened again, and when I asked him how much for the service, he said it's FREE! Can you believe?! Now I'm sure that virtually all other vehicles serviced at this body shop need formal estimates and repairs are not free ... but it's nice to know that a senior manager is willing to find practical, simple solutions for their customers. The Fitzgerald service manager recommended taking it to Elite Auto Body, which I did. The estimate from Elite was about half as much as the one from Criswell, so I had the work done there. The door had to be removed, blasted, repainted, and re-coated, and when I got the car back a few days later it was as good as new -- and the price charged was less than the estimate!

I went in seeking a quote to mend an ugly long thick black mark--possibly a sideswipe--all along the side of my beloved 2016 Lexus RX 450h, my favorite car ever. Sure the mark had broken through the paint, I dreaded both the price tag and repair challenge, considering the car's paint is that tricky pearl white. Brad excused himself and momentarily returned with a cohort, spray bottle and clean white cloth, which they carefully applied all along the mark. It took a bit of scrubbing, but the mark disappeared! Brad could have taken the car in, merely cleaned it with his magic potion, kept it for however many days, presented it to me as "repaired" and charged me a tidy sum--which I'd have happily paid, delighted that the car looked like new. They said the Car was a total loss and was eventually getting towed to the salvage lot. they diagnosed the car wrong. They stated it was the transmission, yet it was the engine. I ended up buying the car back from insurance to fix it up. Got the car back from a new engine replaced from a different shop. This shop did not touch anything but replacing the engine. I got the car back, and a huge part of the bumper was gone. I called them and had a long talk with them stated the bumper was not broken, that the took the whole bumper apart. Had photos and all to show the bumper was all with them. they tried to state they are not responsible for lost parts after the car left their lot, and that they put all the parts in the car. yet, the piece that is missing cant even fit in the car. So they are trying to blame it on the tow truck person. Yet they were the ONLY ones who touched the bumper and took it apart. They will NOT help replace the part. They gave us 3 different stories of what happened with all the parts. Long story short, I now have to come out of pocket $600 for a piece to the bumper. DO NOT GO TO THEM If its a total loss car because they WILL NOT help you replace anything when they break things or miss things.
