Every time I have came here there is always this Hispanic lady with a mask that is always on her phone not paying attention to customers and has gotten me and my partners order wrong for not paying attention. I came this morning at 9am they open at 7am and the door was locked I thought they were closed but that was when I saw the worker in the corner taking her break so I decided to stand around outside and wait not rushing her but waiting then she motioned me to leave after waiting 10 minutes, this "worker" that is always on her phone and now she wants customers to leave when she's taking a "break" from what?? So this is my favorite subway in Carson, but this is my least favorite experience in Carson. The young person fixing my sandwich did not do it as well as I expected. My sandwich ingredients were all over the place and I actually had to stop her and ask her to put everything properly on the bread. She didn't spread the condiments and she did dump everything on there and it was crazy. Some of the filling actually fell out when she was wrapping it up and I was like WTHeck? It looked bad; subway doesn't normally do that. Even when you have a person with a bad attitude, they at least know how to make the sandwiches presentable. Noticed behind the counter it was an older Asian (looked like couple) working the sandwich orders. Everything was being done in a nice smooth methodical flow. This was my go to Subway. It is on the same block I live on and most of the time I head somewhere, it is on the way. I order the same sandwich with the same ingredients with the same kind of chips (hot cheetos). What I appreciated about this Subway (BEFORE THE GRAND OPENING) is that, they were consistent! My sandwich always tasted delicious, regardless of the person that makes it for me. The last three visits I paid this Subway, my experience was off. My sandwich tasted different, the service was slower and annoyed me (which rarely happened before) and they ran out of hot cheetos! The employees now are either rude, slow or just annoying! They are messy when creating sandwiches and the past three sandwiches I have had with this new crew, all tasted different. It still baffles me. I ordered a deluxe subway club for myself that was sloppily made and was missing cheese, green peppers, mustard, jalapeños and they didn't give me the extra meat. They also gave me the wrong drink. My wife ordered a cold cut combo that was missing the condiments, olives, and banana peppers. If you are going to hire individuals that clearly don't care about their work your business is going to suffer. I usually don't review fast food chains like this but I just had to after my recent experience here! I placed a large order here for several sandwich platters and cookies for an event. The workers here were super nice and got my complicated order ready in time and exactlyyy how I wanted it! The sandwiches were fresh, delicious, and I got positive comments from everyone who had them at the event. The presentation of the platters was great too! Today, 8/05/20 , customer service lacking, no line, no rush, it was like being pushed through the line. Ordered online to get the 2 foot longs for $5 each and they not only messed up the order, they gave me less for what I paid and they thought it was ok. I ordered two different types of sandwiches and I was given two of the same. I had to ask about my drinks as I ordered two 40 oz fountain drinks. He said, oh and after looking at the order ticket said I could have two drinks from the cooler. I asked two each and he said no, just two. I told him I ordered large and he then said two only. The employees who work at this place are rude and disrespectful. It's only once in a blue moon or extremely rare that you get respectful and friendly people to serve you here. Instead of them being polite to me I was polite to them. I just wanted my usual order at Subway's which is the Spicy Italian on Italian Herbs and Cheese bread and the dang Asian man (probably the owner) rudely yelled at me "YOU WANT SIX OF THEM---WE ONLY HAVE TWO BREADS LEFT THAT ARE ITALIAN AND HERB!!!!" I told him politely but with a very upset and angry tone that I only wanted one. I was like where the hell did he get the idea that I wanted six of them!!!! He didn't even say sorry. Then this teenage girl employee took over in making the rest of my sandwich looking like she was about to laugh at me with this ugly gang banger looking teenage boy employee and so I blurted and shouted out "IS THERE ANYTHING FUNNY??!!!!" And then they wiped those ugly smiles off their faces and began to treat me with a little respect. What I hate most around here is that if you ask for more veggies on your sandwich, it's like they get hella mad at you. Veggies are cheap. I just asked to put a little more bell peppers, olives, onions, and the cheapest of all of them--lettuce and they look annoyed and upset. And it isn't like I am asking to put extra meat, cheese or bacon or avocado for free. They are lazy here too in terms of baking bread. It's only early lunch time like 12:30 to !:00 and they already run out of the popular breads like Italian herbs and cheese and honey oat. Sometimes they only have white and wheat left by 1:30. Only nice employees here is the owner Asian lady and Maria as another person who commented mentioned. There are also some Asian teenage girls (who could be the daughters or nieces of the owner lady) who are very nice too but it's rare they are here when I come. You're lucky if you get any of them to help you. I was only going to give this place one star but because of them, I gave two. Everyone else here isn't so nice or at all nice. I usually go to the one near Carnegie middle school but since I was visiting a friend I decided to pick up a sandwich here for her. This place needs to improve a whole lot!! read more
