Usually love Jersey Mike's but my mom and ai ordered two sandwiches for pickup and they got our order totally wrong. Whoever made it completely disregarded the toppings we wanted added and removed. My sandwich was soaked in oil and was hard to stomach let alone even having what I ordered on it. Honestly will be hard to eat Jersey mikes again after this because what I just ate was gross. Since Jersey Mike's seems to be expanding in the area, I thought it was time to try a JM grinder. I ordered a regular Number 13 Original Italian through DoorDash. It came on a white grinder roll and was filled with pepperoni, ham, salami, "prosciuttini", cappacuolo, lettuce, tomato, onions, banana peppers, oil vinegar and spices. The grinder was decent. The quality of the meat doesn't hold up against the best area Italian delis. It holds up fine against other national chains. I could have used a few more toppings, but the amount of meat was fine. I did enjoy the oil, vinegar and Mike's seasoning blend. Under the right circumstances, I would order a Jersey Mike's grinder again, but I think there are better independent options and State chain options in the area at a similar price point. It was a pretty nice experience. First of all, they slice the meats right there in front of your eyes so that's a big difference between Mike's and their competitors. You walk down the ordering line "Subway" style, and see your customized sandwich built as you watch. Sandwiches are sold in three sizes (mini, regular, and giant). I ordered a regular which was a pretty big sandwich. If I had more willpower, I would have saved half for tomorrow, but I was hungry and the sandwich was so good I made it go "bye bye". I ordered a #2 Jersey Shore (Provolone, ham & cappacuolo) on a white grinder roll and the works (Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Vinegar, Oil, and hot pepper relish. It was excellent!! The bread was soft and fresh, there was plenty of meat on it and the fixings were fresh and crunchy. The place was very organized, and the servers along the line were sweet and polite. The only negative was the ridiculous traffic in the parking lot of the strip mall they share with Chick-fil-A. Those CFA fans must really love their chicken sandwiches because the line for the drive through choked the parking lot like a boa constrictor squeezing the life out of a mongoose, We parked in an adjacent lot and walked over, making sure none of those drooling chicken craving lemmings hit us. read more

Why is it that this location is so inefficient? Could it be they just don't care? I always order on the app and arrive 5 minutes after the time it lists for pickup knowing there is no chance my order will be ready on time. Today it actually was at the register, not the pickup so I waited a few minutes more. The person at the register kept taking people in line ignoring my sandwich AND me. I finally asked if I could have my sandwich after waiting 10 MORE minutes of watching it get cold. She acted as if I was imposing but reluctantly baggec my order 15 minutes after pickup time and. As I left she apologized to the man in line for MY rudeness (asking if I could please have my sandwich). The other customers waiting for their orders were chattering about her attitude after that, one remarking that perhaps that was "part of the show." I like the food but am done with this location. Ordered during operating hours, after 45 minutes my order was cancelled. I was told the restaurant wasn't opened, which wasn't true.

Having been to this location many times before I finally got around to writing a review. Always enjoyed Jersey Mike's subs, whether in Connecicut or back in my home state of "Joisey". Their subs have always been solid and consistent, and I really do like their bread over the competition. Ingredients are fresh and tasty with many options to choose from. I often opt for the cheese steak sub, but I also do alternate between their Italian combo or the roast beef with provolone, which are also quite good. I have not yet been disappointed here, or at any of their other locations. I do find it sad for those who 1 star reviewed this establishment, as I have not yet had their experience. Nevertheless I understand franchises can be difficult to have control over quality, but for a franchise, Jersey Mike's is great. This location has had outstanding service, and thus far my online orders have been done quickly and correctly. If I am not ordering my sandwiches from the Deli, they will certainly be from Jersey Mike's. read more

So we decided to stop here to grab something quick after a long day in the sun and at the pool. Well if you are getting a cold sandwich they are quick. But, if your looking for a hot sandwich of the grill um not so much. Hubby ran in while I waited in the car with the littles. He ordered 2 Regular sized sandwiches one being the Club with Turkey, Ham, Provolone & Bacon which they immediately put together for him with our choice selected toppings one topping being the hot pepper relish delish. Then he waited about 15 to 20 minutes for them to make The Big Kahuna which is a Steak & Cheese with Mushrooms, Peppers, Onions & Jalapeno. The reason he waited so long is there was one girl on the grill top and she was cooking only one sandwich at a time on the grill. If you go to another sandwich place down the road one town over they do multiple orders at a time on the grill. You shouldn't have to wait that long so what should have been a no more than 15 minute stop took over a 45 minutes. During the wait my husband saw no manager at all. Because if there was one they should have been bailing out the slow girl on the grill. Who my hubby said didn't look to thrilled to be on the grill either. So moral of this story is if your looking for quick don't order a hot sandwich. Was it worth it the Club was awesome very fresh....they slice the meats and cheeses to order for every sandwich. The Big Kahuna was ok not Awesome but not horrible either...... definitely not worth the wait. Would I go back definitely for the club or to try the other cold Subs to go. read more

The subs are great, freshly sliced meat and fresh veggies. However, this location is a mess. Ordered well ahead and still had to wait 27 minutes to get my sandwich. There were people that walked in for sandwiches (no pre-order) 15 minutes after I arrived that got their sandwiches and left before I got mine. Plenty of staff there, they were stumbling over each other. I'll try another location and see if it's better. read more

Might be the best sandwich I ever had in my life. My sandwich artist was Mike (maybe the Jersey Mike) and crafted a masterpiece beyond any description mere words can craft. The delicious, perfectly cooked chicken that was prepared right infront of my own eyes, in addition to the most delightful balance of tang and zest from the ranch, and if that wasn't enough; the savory, salty bacon combined to make the best chicken bacon ranch I've ever got the oppurtunity to enjoy. I will be returning every chance I get, and only to this Jersey Mike's. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Cut the line order was supposed to be ready at 5:56 pm., it wasn't ready until 6:20.No one is helping or even acknowledging the customers that are waiting for pre- order pickup. It appears as if they ignore those tickets and keep moving the walk ins along. People that were were ordering 10 minutes after I walked in we're getting their orders before me as well as other " cut the line" customers who were there well beyond their scheduled pickup time. This is not the first time I've noticed this. This Jersey Mikes better get it together, they are not the only game in Glastonbury and there were quite a few angry customers walking out tonight, ignored by a staff who didn't seem to give a f@$&.. Stopped in for a late lunch today. Wasn't a busy time and we were greeted by several employees when we entered. Had to review the menu as this was our first time. We looked down and were a little confused as to who should be taking our order as there were 4 staff staring at us. Clearly it was a slow time for them. We placed our order for two sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak and the Italian sandwich which I requested to be warm. Was happy to see the meat for the Italian sandwich being sliced fresh for the order. Both sandwiches were cooked on the grill. The Philly cheesesteak was cooked and wrapped, without being slice in half or being asked if additional toppings were wanted. A little odd to have that happen. They did request if there were additional toppings wanted for the Italian but had to request that the sandwich be cut in half. Cost for the two sandwiches and two bags of chips was just shy of $20 which seemed a little high compared to Subway but the roll was larger than Subway. Amount of meat seemed to be the same. Overall the freshness and flavor was good and made for a good sized lunch. Probably would go back again if I was in the area but wouldn't make a special trip. read more

TL;DR: eat here for an INCREDIBLY overpriced sandwich, order from here if you want it quick $30 for a sandwich that ranks as "ok". Not that they're remotely similar, but for the same price, I got 4 full size meals at Taco Bell. $30 was just for the sandwich, no sides, drinks, nothing. This price is insane. The sandwich was pretty big. I got extra meat and cheese after reading the owner's comments here responding to disgruntled diners complaining about ingredients - the owner respectfully reiterated the quality of their ingredients so I was hoping these people were just whining. These aren't low grade ingredients, but they don't even rank on par with the deli counter at your grocery store. Again, they're just ok; not worth the price! Here's a picture to highlight what double meat and cheese gets you. I was fairly disappointed that I basically got a ham sandwich. The cheese is paper thin and the ratio of ham to everything else is crazy. I guess when you're wholesaling your sandwiches... wait. If Jersey Mike's charged about a quarter of the price, this thing would be at least a good deal for a standard sandwich. But, they don't, and I happen to live the same distance from a place you can get a sandwich, that's local, at about $5 with premium (well above grocery deli counter) meat and cheese and bread - Italian Gourmet Deli & Bakery in Newington. Though it's not close to Jersey Mike's which is situated in a hot spot for lunch and business outings. Unless the prices drop, and hard, I won't be ordering from here. I don't see that as likely because the prices are probably set by the franchise which seems even crazier because I can't think of where the price for this level of sandwich would be acceptable. There's no gimmick they're selling and the quality is only ok, what the heck warrants that price? I did get it delivered so perhaps there's some Jersey Mike's magic I missed out on by not going in the shop. Doubtful. Pretty bummed. I've had some pretty ridiculous sandwiches from Tucson, San Diego, New Orleans, and New York City with the highest quality ingredients you can imagine. None of them held a candle to the price this place is charging for a sandwich that couldn't compare to any of them. This is just nuts. Shit, charge $50 a sandwich. After all the hype had to try it. Had steak and cheese and it wasn't any better than a Wawa sub. When we are in NJ and PA the Wawa's are really nice and they're subs are better. This is like gross steakum fake meat. These 2 subs, 2 drinks and 1 chip cost $23. We won't be back. read more

I personally am never going back to this place, 1 because me and someone else got totally different orders then we asked for, one of my friends sandwiches had bacon hard as a rock, and 2 because of the service, we had 4 orders of subs, we only got 3 and had to ask where the 4th one was, it took them about 10 mins to figure it all out, and for some reason random people were coming in the store going in the back asking for their orders, like wtf? Jersey subs in CT??? Up around here we call em 'grinders'. Another of those sandwich chains which are all kind of interchangeable. I guess its better than one of those feeble Subway sandwiches ( sad), but not up there with a Franklin giant grinder ( still pretty epic). Its another version of a Nardellis or a Firehouse sub shop. If thats what you are looking for, they are popping up all over the place. I tried a chicken bacon ranch. I think its the bacon making it come across as too salty, so I would skip the soggy bacon. Is that really pieces of chicken in there? I think, maybe, has to be. The philly cheesesteaky sandwich was ok in its chopped Steakums kinda way, not as good as D' Angelos number nine version, but I guess if you dont want to drive the extra five minutes, it will suffice. In Connecticut we have a ton of mom and pop grinder and pizza places that will kick any chains @$$, you have to step up your game round these here parts if you expect to compete. Wow! Put in an order on line at 3:20. Was scheduled to be ready at 4:05. Got there a bit early. Stayed in the restaurant for 30 minutes. Many people walked in, ordered, and walked out with their food while my husband stood in line for 30 minutes. He was handed his food at 4:26. They told him they lost his ticket and offered a soda for his time. Can't say we will be back. read more

There was a disgruntled gentleman, but the team kept their cool and kept working. The Team Lead didn't feed into it, and got his food out and kept working.
