Very clean, friendly employees and fresh sandwich fixings. We will make this our "go-to" sandwich place when visiting.

Came in at 2:30 in the afternoon on Sunday November 30. There was a young lady who helped us get our order started and she put it in the oven. Then got passed off to the gal who was the supervisor who was helping somebody in front of us. After she finished with those people, she completely ignored me and started messing with her cash drawer never looked up at me once never responded that I'll be there in a minute and I sat there for over five minutes while my sandwiches got cold, and the other girl came over and finished my order while the supervisor just turned around and walked away. She never acknowledged us at all. Then when we went to get our drinks, they were out of ice and I asked the supervisor about it and she said, yeah, there's no more ice. The food was mediocre and the service was horrendous. Don't see any reason to come back with all the other options in town don't recommend you show up around shift change. read more

I got two foot long subs and asked to have one dairy free and to put the cheese for the first sub on the next sub. The 2 people who put on tge toppings said no problem and put it on without hesitation. Then when I went to pay, the cashier tried to charge me a dollar for extra cheese even though it wasn't extra since it was from my first sub. I let him know it wasn't extra but that it was from the first dairy free sub. He said they weren't supposed to do that. Why??? They were both my subs. Second time in a month my online order was wrong and had to return to the store. Not just something easily picked off like onion, but mayo so the whole sandwich needed redone. The first incident they redid it and gave me 2 free cookies for the hassle. Yesterday, however 2 sandwiches wrong. Same story mayo among other errors. Returned to have it remade, the other sandwich my daughter just ate anyway. The guy said sorry and made a new one, the lady then questioned him and got on him for not collecting the wrong sandwich. Really? I have 2 wrong, only asked to fix one, mine is going to be soggy by the time I get back home to eat it, and you are going to be difficult about collecting the old one with not even a "sorry". I came into the cottonwood subway and ordered a foot long Steak and Provolone. And got a lettuce and bread sandwich. When I asked for a little more meat on the plain part of the bread. FALSE ADVERTISING ALERT! I had 2 coupons. Today is Sat Aug 20, 2022. Coupons both showed "Expires 8/20/22" I walked up to the counter to order, and before I got a word out of my mouth, the girl said "sorry, we cannot accept coupons today" I told her the coupon showed "Expires 8/20/22" She said "sorry, we already voided today's date from our system" Whaaaaaat?! So, just a word of warning - Make sure you get there a day or so BEFORE their coupons expire. They don't honor their coupon expiration dates! 90% of the people that work here are extremely rude. I don't know why I keep punishing myself and coming back but sometimes I just get a Subway craving. Workers complain that they're tired, complain that so many customers came in for lunch, mope around feeling sorry for themselves that they have to work that day, and they save the pleasant one for the end of the line when you're already annoyed with the customer service. I wish I could give zero stars. I don't feel this way about very many restaurants but the whole experience here is just ridiculous! Believe me...take your sandwich cravings elsewhere even if you're tempted. read more

I ordered a couple of subs. 2 of my sons were coming over to go fishing at Dead Horse. There was an older gentle man working there who has worked in every Subway from Sedona on over. When we opened them they were Terrible and I mean terrible. I went to file a complaint with Subway corp, can't complain without a receipt??? July 5th ! This is the second time I've been in for my Italian Sub and they had NO TOMATOES!!! Sent my husband for a Spicy Italian with 2 rows tomatoes , (I don't get a lot of the vegetables) and he came home with a salami, lettuce, cheese and jalapeño sub! Ugh! No one was in the place and employees made no attempt to tell him that there were no tomatoes, he waited 15 minutes to be waited on while being the only person there!! They told him that there were NO tomatoes when he went to tell them what additions to put on the sub (which had been toasted)! He didn't know what to do at that point but pay! I threw the piece of crap out!!! I feel I'm entitled to a few freebies! What's their excuse there's a Fry's next door? How can you not post what additional items are sold out before ordering ? It's Subway, is there really anything to review? All the normal Subway choices with the same varying levels of service depending on the employee working. I will say at least they have normal pricing, unlike the Subway in Camp Verde. They are very expensive in Camp Verde and don't participate in the $5 foot long program. read more

This Subway was subpar! They did not have the normal selection of breads for sandwiches and some of the choices were so stale that one could pound a nail with them. The sandwiches were either very dry or very soggy. We advise making a different choice. read more

This store had young people working as most do, one young man appeared very stressed and hyper. He was observed fingering a meat ball which another customer called him out on. When I ordered my subway club, he rushed to slap on the meat and when I asked for cheddar cheese I got grated mixed cheese. When I asked the woman next on the assembly line to change it for another (super easy to do) she said she would have to make me another sandwich and charge or I would have to take the grated cheese and pay extra for extra cheese. Staff is sort of crabby. Unfortunate. Just went in again and had the same experience. Like their drudgery of having to be there had to be shared with all customers. Will do Hilltop or Verde Lea from now on. Supporting local businesses is a better idea anyway. read more

Once subway went under new ownership recently the staff have been very nice and cooperative and are most of the time in a good mood. Sandwiches have gotten extremely better since the previous ownership. The teens are working especially hard which is nice to see in our community read more

Visits to our local Subway are usually good and the sandwiches are always great, but today's service was terrible and extremely unfriendly. Dale and Manuel paid little attention to the order and had to ask more than once what we wanted. Had 6 kiddos with me that ordered sandwiches and I had a chopped salad. Bill was $62.00 - I was informed that they will not accept 100 dollar bills but do take 50 - so I could give them two 50 but not a hundred dollar bill (idiots). Also the chopped slide was - well nasty. They take all of the meat and cheese and veggies and put it into a plastic bowl and use a curved knife / chopper to chop the salad. I got minced meat, large lumps of mangled cheese stuck together and bruised greens. It began with good ingredients and they were mangled. Also we were lucky with a short line but in minutes the line was 15 plus minutes long. The staff are nice - but not well trained at all. A small amount of training and they could understand what a real 100 looks like as opposed to two 50s and be able to make a simple chopped salad and keep the line moving. Came into subway because usually its a good place to go for sandwiches. I got two footlong sandwiches and two kids meal for my kids. The staff started messing around behind the freaking counter. the girl gives this guy named Ali the kids meal sandwiches and he starts messing around with it rolling it around in his hand like its a ball. he made a joke oh maybe we should give it to you for free. I said yeah maybe you should. He didnt even put the kids of sandwiches in a bag at first I had to ask him to put it in the bag. I also had to ask him what else came with the sandwich because all he was going to give me was the sandwich for the kids. no apples nothing. Subway food is pretty standard throughout the franchise, what irks me is the total lack of emotion, engagement or motivation we get from the employees in this particular Subway. It sems to be a struggle to get it "your" way and the slightest change is met with an extra charge! I disagree with the previous review in that Camp Verde Subway is always consistent, they remember us and how we like our order, smile and say hello, even when it is a new employee and generally work their tails off....not stare off into space like Cottonwood employees. read more

This was probably the worst service I have had. My server ask if I wanted the sandwich heated and I said no but I would like the meat heated. He put the meat in the warmer and then never put it in the sandwich. I called that afternoon and was told the manager would call me and clear it up I have now waited a week and have not heard back from them. December 22nd 2017 my grandfather and I went into subway to enjoy some dinner. I've never had a poor experience at this location previously though last night was one of the worst I've ever had from any fast food/restaurant in my life. Walking in we did not get greeted. The bread was so stale it took the guy 3 different knifes to try to cut it. The guy making my salad did not speak to me, didn't look at me, he clearly didn't want to be there. His tone was extremely rude every time my grandfather or I spoke. Both sandwiches we purchased were very poorly made as well as the salad. Went into this Subway around 3:30 on a Sunday. It wasn't busy at all and the place was a wreck. There were 3 employees & a manager working. There were several dirty tables, trash and crumbs on the floor, the chip rack was half empty & the soda area was messy with straw wrappers & lids on the ground. Ruby the employee who took our order seemed like she was stoned out her mind. She couldn't remember anything we told her. She had to keep asking us what we wanted & didn't even comprehend what we told her. I asked for Turkey and bacon and she put chicken & bacon on my sandwich. The bread seemed undercooked, or over proofed, not even slightly brown. I had bread crumbs all over me when I was done eating. If you want a good sandwich and a clean place to eat go to Hilltop deli across from dairy queen. They will make you a good sub and remember what you ordered. read more

I travel a lot and I've been to Subway's in just about every state and I ALWAYS order the same thing, which is a pizza sub. It's not on the menu, but it's basically just a sandwich which has a little marinara sauce from the meatballs added onto it. When an employee doesn't know what I'm talking about, I tell them, and they've always fixed it up for me like that. EXCEPT for at this Subway..... The idiot working, who's name is forgotten, but he was some old, dried up, ex-convict looking guy who had a really old, poorly done tattoo of an eagle or something, on his arm. REFUSED to make this for me. (I think his name was Dale) and he refused to do it, VERY rudely too. I even told him I'd pay extra if he'd put a tablespoon of marinara sauce on it, but he wanted to be a jack wagon and in his condescending, rude tone, just glared at me and said "THIS Subway doesn't do special orders." I love subway as a healthier alternative to fast food when we are in a hurry. I have had so many bad experiences with this subway store because of one employee. After today's experience I am done! My kids really wanting subway so we made plans to go between errands. I am on a low calorie diet and I knew subway had healthy options and I remember seeing the nutritional info posted. We walk in and I see he is working. I want to leave right away but my kids are so excited to have subway for lunch. I do not know this employee so I know it is not personal he is just ride. I am first in line and he asks me what I want. I ask if I can see the nutritional info before I order. Without making eye contact he said "we don't have one, we used to have one you can look in the trash! " ok no thanks I will look it up on my phone. I sit at a table so others can order then get in line when I have made my choice. I placed my first order then asked for another one the same only different bread. He put swiss cheese on it and I asked for pepper jack. I asked if I could have it with pepper jack he said "cheese is cheese" then took it off my sandwich and threw it back in the cheese bin. He made another sandwich then went to the next customer. I told another employee I needed one more sandwich. He hurried to get my last order and slid the sandwich down the line. My daughter asked can I have cheese on it? Can I have it toasted? ? He could care less what she wanted. I think he is completely burnt out and hates every customer that walks in. My family and I decided to stop for some quick subs on our way out to Sedona. As the 7 of us enter the door we are greeted by a "oh no, oh no is this really happening" from behind the counter. I guess from the amount of people we came in with? As the first of our group approaches the counter, the young man behind asks "what kind of bread?" She answers and he states they are out of that bread. As mom starts looking for a new one he yells out Just kidding! And proceeds to take the order very obnoxiously. He moves her sandwhich down the line and screams NEXT as rudely as possible. I begin to tell him what I want, trying to ignore his behaviour but he still managed to piss me off. I say provolone cheese and he responds back in a mocking "asian" voice "you want asian cheese, I invent asian cheese" meanwhile my Japanese husband is taking great offense to this young boys racial slur. And then decides to speak up and tell the boy to just make the sandwiches. As more and more rude things are said from this employee, we finally got to finish up our order (minus one sandwich from my angry husband who didnt want that boy touching his food) we begin to pay, and also complain to the cashier about how rude that boy was and that someone should talk to a manager about him keeping his job. As we are laughed at I decide nothing will be done of it. Just keep in mind here not only did this review come from a waitress. But also a cook, a manager and another waitress who all agreed if ever treating our customers with such disrespect we would be fired on the spot.
