Inky's Philly Cheesesteak in Easley, SC, delivers a fantastic take on a regional favorite…read more Located at the base of The Silos--where several food trucks ply their specialties--Inky's stands out as a spacious, comfortable spot with large booths that invite you to settle in... and maybe stay a while. High ceiling, lots of wood paneling, very vintage while still feeling up to date. The menu includes burgers, deli-style hoagies, and salads, but let's be honest: the cheesesteak is why you showed up--and it's good enough to keep you coming back. There's some real history behind the name. Albert "Inky" Harris ran the first cheesesteak and hoagie shop in Philadelphia back in the 1940s, and the current grandchildren owners carry that legacy forward. Whether every detail has been perfectly preserved or lovingly remembered, one thing is certain: they source their white American cheese from Philly, and the result feels authentic. And that makes all the difference. The fresh-baked Liscio's rolls are huge--soft and warm on the inside, with a firm, crusty on the outside. Like me... on a good day. Inside, finely chopped steak, peppers, onions, and that perfectly melted white American cheese are blended together, so every bite delivers a balanced, satisfying hit of flavor. No "all onions in one bite, no meat in the next" surprises--just consistent harmony. And the star of the show? Certified Angus ribeye. No shortcuts. No skimping. No regrets. Sandwiches come in 7", 12", or the "I wish I was still in college" 18" option--because sometimes restraint is overrated. My wife and I split the Colossal. The meals are served on trendy paper-toppped metsl trays. The staff and management go out of their way to make you feel welcome and walk you through all the options. Sides round out the experience with plenty of choices: fries, tater tots, onion rings, pasta salad, fried mushrooms (hello, childhood), and a standout option--house-made chips, sliced and fried fresh and disappearing faster than your willpower. Bottom line: If you're craving a true Philly-style cheesesteak without leaving the Upstate, Inky's is absolutely worth the stop. Just don't plan on eating light... or sharing. Made the drive to Easley specifically for this. I've been craving a proper cheesesteak since I…read moremoved to SC. Inky's probably tops the list as the best I've had in the area. The meat, cheese and onions are mixed perfectly. They skimp a little bit on the meat in my opinion and it's pretty pricey if you're not filling the cheesesteak to the brim. Overall, very tasty

Let me start by saying I love Moe's. I used to frequent this location until my past few visits…read more Staff seem to be uneducated on food safety procedures. On my last visit, I was served by a bulky African-American lady. I ordered the chicken club quesadilla and was asked if I wanted beans and rice, to which I replied yes. She continued to put them on my quesadilla, and then put on dark meat chicken without asking my preference. I kindly asked for white meat chicken instead. She visibly had an attitude after my peaceful request, and proceeded to carelessly throw the ingriedietns on my second quesadilla and storm away in a fit. Will not be returning after that. Who teaches these people their customer service?! It also appeared she was in management or at least above a team member status. Ridiculous and very unwelcoming. All could of been avoided if she followed protocol and asked me my preference. My last and not by far my worst visit to this location. However, there is a gentleman with curly hair and glasses who runs the cashier station who does an excellent job.

I ask her what adobo chicken is and she says "it's just a kind of chicken" she continues to fix my bowl and I ask for a drink with my order. She shoves my food to me and then when I ask for my cup she says "Oh it doesn't come with the food" I say I ordered a drink. She then takes the cup, shoves it at me and walks off. Now she's talking to the other employee and I'm guessing that's why my order was rushed and zero customer service was provided so she could continue her personal conversation about yoga studios. This was my first and definitely my last time visiting this store.
