I am tired of going here and getting crunchy rice. I like my rice done. The quality has gone down.

I've so many bad experiences here I don't even know where to begin. It's hard to find healthy choices in Easley so I unfortunately find myself stoping after the gym on days I don't want to cook. I think tonight was the worst yet. It took 37min to get my order in the drive through. I was car # 5. When I got to the window, the poor girl working seemed overwhelmed and 4 younger gentlemen were just standing around chatting. I guess when you have one employee working the line gets backed up. I don't know what it is about this location but it's always bad. I'm assuming these are franchised so if that's the case then I feel really sorry for the workers. The standards here have to be a reflection of ownership and lack of care. read more

It's so hard to find good Cuban food outside of South Florida but this chain here really satisfied my cravings! I really enjoyed this quick bite and if I lived in the area, I'd surely become a regular. I'd compare this place to a Panera bread (in the way you order) and/or Chipoltle (same concept of bowls with rice, beans and a protein), it's a quick stop for healthier-then-most takeout options. I'll always prefer my grandma's Cuban cooking but this wasn't half bad. Food was flavorful, fresh and quick to arrive once we placed our order. For those so inclined, there are no shortages of sauces! As any Cuban might, I chose the garlic sauce which was really good. My one complaint was I asked for tostones (savory/salty flat fried plantains) and I think I must have confused the server because I got maduros instead (sweet fried plantains). I've never had pita bread with Cuban food before but, hey, I'll take it. read more

This is the most ghetto place in Easley. Employees talking extremely loud to everyone and not nice at all! Dirty tables are the only place to sit as well. read more

First I want to say I've eaten here many times and had good experiences. But I went there tonight and after being told to wait in a parking space by the drivethru worker , finally went in 40 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready to get a refund. My order had just been sitting there on the counter. So I went ahead and got a refund, not really wanting to pay for cold food. No one apologized or anything for wasting my time, such a bummer. read more

I'm a fan for certain... I had the Classic Chop... grilled chopped chicken breast served over yellow rice... added black beans which my wife tells me are really good for you. They have about 8 sauces that you can slather on top to change the nature of your meal... anything from mild or hot salsa, sour cream, sewn and sour, or just hot sauce (and it was decently hot)... I got the small bowl which was plenty for me for a large lunch. The large bowl will keep anyone with a voracious appetite satiated for hours. It was truly large. A friend was working one one of those when we arrived, without his to judge the size, I would have been overly feed and lazy all afternoon. As it was, I was just lazy... My wife got a salad... Garden with Chicken. It looked really good and was a good sized plate of food too. All the food was well prepared and high quality. Fresh greens, great chicken... Nice place for good food. I like the simple bowls of great ingredients. And I think being able to try different sauces on it as you go adds to the experience. read more

Don't order takeout. Ordered takeout from here and all the plates were smaller than dine in from the past. They also left all of the chicken off of one plate. Only good for dine in. Maudlin location is better. read more

Excellent! A group of us met here and we all enjoyed our variety of tropical chops, sandwiches, seasoned vegetables and baked plantains. Everything was fresh, and the servings were very generous. I love all of the sauces, but the creamy ranch on the chicken fresco chop was particularly good with all of the ingredients mixed together. Half of the regular size chop was enough to satisfy, and I took home the other half for lunch the next day. Staff was quick to serve and very friendly! read more

It's as simple as it looks. The service is fast and friendly for sure and that's the best part. The prices are ok. The menu seems to be all the possible combinations of a handful of items. The food is good but I probably haven't found the right embellishments to add for flavoring it up to great. There's some sort of mayo based sauce that everyone claims is delicious but I cannot do anything based in mayo . So all in all it's a good quick meal from friendly folks with a little tropical flare. But it's probably not a place I'll frequent. read more

What a great concept! I was actually heading to Panera and this place caught the corner of my eye so I came here instead. It took mea while to study the menu to figure out what I could make vegan but I went with the vegetarian chop and cut out the cheese and sour cream and added salsa. It came with yellow rice, black beans, lettuce, tomatoes and a side of pita bread. The only thing I didn't like was the salsa, it tasted like it came straight out of a jar. The guy making it was so friendly and offered me all of the sauces but I didn't add any. I would definitely come here again if I'm in the area! read more

Tropical Grill is usually great but they are very inconsistent. Some visits are awesome and the next is only eh. So while I do like them it is frustrating. Went tonight. Food good but they the cook did not wear a mask at all and the manager was doing a great job protecting her chin but a horrible job covering nose and mouth. Great atmosphere, awesome food, and I love the staff. My only complaint is I wish the music was a little softer, but I think the room has a lot to do with that. This location is a rip off when it comes to ordering bulk meat. I ordered 5lbs of chicken for meal prepping and it turned out to only be 3lbs. My first dining experience at a Tropical Grille was in Greenville at the one near Pleasantburg Drive. The food was good, and I was so glad that one was opening in Easley. It was good the first few times I went, but quickly the food quality has changed. The chicken is often over cooked and tough. Great restaurant. We went in, based on reviews, no clue what to order. One of the girls from behind the counter stepped out from behind the counter and explained the menu to us. Big news- the pork chop isn't a whole chop- it's chopped pork. It comes in bowls with different veggie combinations. I had a bowl, my wife a Cuban. Both were awesome. Also had a side of plantains. Highly recommended. Only thing- the restaurant has tall ceilings and is echoey. Hard to hold a conversation without taking over the place. read more

I've met the owner and I'm so happy to hear that he is proudly American (his parents immigrated many years ago) and I can tell when I've eaten here that he is personally involved in his restaurants. I'm always impressed with a clean place, friendly staff, and good customer care. There's a wide variety of plates and bowls here, and the food is consistently good. Fresh, hot, and flavorful. Had the Family Special tonight (again) and was delicious, as always. The black beans are to die for. The garlic ranch sauce is the perfect dressing for the chicken, rice, or really anything else. The food never disappoints. I'm glad to see the location in Easley, as we just moved to the area. I order a large Cuban Roasted Pork Chop, and it's enough for three meals (as long as I divide it before I begin eating, otherwise I'm lucky to have enough self control to get two meals out of it!) This place is really good if you're in the mood for chicken and rice. There are 22 different options plus a kids menu. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you're receiving. You can sit inside or outside, with the inside being very cool during a long, hot day. Love this place! Affordable healthy food fast with tons of sauces to spice up your dish. I always get the chicken cilantro bowl so only can comment on that one particularly. Fresh food great place. The restaurant itself is basic. It's always clean and neat. The food is really good to be somewhat healthy. Very filling. I always get the south of the border chop which comes with a pile of yellow rice, chicken and an assortment of veggies on it. Sour cream cheese and salsa are also on it.
