Cute diner. The colors inside were red and yellow. That reminded me more of hotdogs than anything. The staff were all very polite and kind. I was a little surprised there wasn't a Western Omelette option on the menu. That is usually pretty standard for any diner. My husband and I both got omelettes. He got the Goodness Gracious omelette, and I did a create your own since there wasn't a Western omelette option I could add toppings in. I got ham, cheddar, green peppers, onions, jalapeños, and spinach. The meal comes with breakfast potatoes or grits, and your choice of toast. There were quite a lot of toast options which was great. My omelette was good and very full of the toppings; however, there wasn't much cheese to even out the ratio. The potatoes were amazing, and although the toast is simply bread, my rye toast was delicious. I did ask for it dry, but it came out lathered in butter. Thankfully, it hadn't melted so I could scrape it off for the most part. I did read other reviews and can confirm that the kitchen staff did not have on hair nets which I find odd when working around food. Usually a hat, net, or both is required or hair is tied back in a tight bun or something for ladies. Overall, good visit! read more

I've only tried Eggs Up Grill one other time, but it was a different location and I loved what I had then, so I decided to order the same thing here. I was surprised at first, because the presentation of my meal looked different than what I was expecting. I wasn't too worried about that though. The eggs were great and the toast with avacado & salsa was also tasty. I thought too much seasoning was added on the salsa though, which made it spicy. Home fries were yummy! Excellent service but the food is a no for me. I ordered an omelette. It was dry, overcooked, zero salt, and very few ingredients. The potatoes were cold and flavorless. My child's waffle was cold and chewy, and the grits were lumpy. If you are looking for a good breakfast, this isn't it. The very friendly wait staff are probably suffering due to the quality of food. 9/28 First and last time coming here! Service was completely terrible from Justice and idk but I'm going to safely assume he is racist because I sat back and watched how he served the other tables and compared it to the lack of service he gave to us! Even the table right in front of us he made sure to ask and explain things to them and he didn't do any of that with us and mind you the table in front was seated after us! He explained to them they was out of things didn't do that to us! When it was time to go he offered them to go cups he didn't offer us that I had to get up and ask someone else to get us to go drinks after we was sitting waiting for 20+ minutes for him to come back with printed reciept he said I had to sign since the system was down and not processing the cards for a few days! Even the lady I'm explaining we been waiting for him to come back to our table for at least 20 minutes she had an attitude! I was patient and understanding the entire time there until I actually started to pay attention to what was going on! Cause by the time we was ready to go the place was no longer packed so that no longer could be the excuse for the lack of service from justice especially when he was so attentive to the table in front of us! He even walked past us to get his card reader didn't stop to ask if we needed anything or nothing he was moving so fast i guess he forgot he told us to wait we was looking at him but he was avoiding eye contact purposely and thats when he checked the table out in front of us and still didn't come back to our table went over to check another guy out across the room and that's when I got up to speak to the other lady cause I'm like wtf is really going on this is ridiculous! Oh and not to mention there was eggs shells in my damn omelette which I didn't even get the chance to mention till I got reciept cause thats only time he came to table to acknowledge us! He took off like $1. And some change. Losing the establishment business and losing out on a great tip he was going to get but his very much lack of service and mistreatment of customers of color is not okay at all! The first time I went to Eggs up Grill of Wade Hampton inn Greer I ordered eggs Benedict. It was DISGUSTING!! I don't know what recipe they use for the sauce but it does NOT taste like the Benedict sauce I've had at better restaurants. In fact I looked up the recipe online for the sauce and when I made it, it was delicious! Well I haven't been back there in a long time but my daughter and her family went today and asked if I wanted something to be brought to me. I figured that it's been long enough since I had been there so I asked her to get the Eggs Benedict. YUK, YUK, TRIPLE YUK!!! It was just as bad as it was a few years ago. Now I definitely NOT go there again. The only place that made that meal fabulously was the former Perkins Restaurant on Woodruff Rd but that's gone. Typical breakfast restaurant. Sunday morning was a really busy time, we waited probably 25 minutes and were seated at the counter which was fun. They had chairs instead of stools, so that was nice! Our server was really nice, and quick! The food was just average which I was fine with, I just wanted a very basic breakfast. But I was disappointed with the home fries, they weren't hot when I got them and they were "grilled" but just kinda tasted like they were boiled and had some seasoning thrown on them. However, the waitress didn't take the time to return to fill water and coffee. The hand held device they use to take the order and pay did not offer a tip less than 20%, unless you choose 'other'. The waitress in my opinion didn't deserve the 15% that I left. Non-attentive. You have to do more than just deliver the meal to expect a larger tip! read more

Great food, got the server on an off day (otherwise 5 big ones). Ate there Sunday morning arriving around 945. Hostess says busy times on Sunday start at 11 for the record. We were immediately seated. Place was clean and well staffed. I had the steak and eggs with home fries. It was a 6 oz sirloin that was the best breakfast steak ever... you know, you sorta expect it to be a little sinewy. This was tender as butter and perfectly cooked. Home fries well spiced and tasty. My wife had an egg white omelet (spinach, mushroom, feta, turkey bacon) AKA "All Good THings" which also was the best "EW" omelet she ever had! The server had short term memory loss. Couldn't remember 2 drink orders. I asked for grapefruit juice (which wasn't on the menu) and that threw her; it was downhill from there lol. The minute I walked in the door I was warmly greeted and asked if I had a preference where to sit (I never do but I always like that a hostess cares to ask). The waitress was super friendly and filled with that Southern Charm I love so much. She never let my coffee even get close to the bottom of that cup. This girl needs her coffee to function! The decor was colorful yet simple and I loved all the puns about eggs everywhere. Sorry, I am a sucker for "dad jokes"! The food came out in under 10 minutes, maybe even closer to 5 because I was busy on my phone not paying attention to the time. It was a simple diner breakfast at its finest; hot, fresh, and delicious! I loved the seasoning on the home fries. I definitely did not need to add any salt or pepper to them. They also had sourdough toast which is my favorite. The best part? They actually had multiple strawberry jam packets! I didn't have to settle for that second rate generic berry jam (okay, I know I'm being dramatic but strawberry is my favorite!). I visited a few months back and had the worst omelette ever. How can you ruin an omelette? It was greasy and heavy and I gave up on it after 4 or 5 bites. I swore never to return, but made the mistake of trying again yesterday. Ordered a cobb salad, figuring you really couldn't mess up on that. Wrong. One end of the salad had greasy bacon crumbles, the other end chunks of chicken dripping with grease as well. It was advertised as a chicken breast but it was not. The grease seeped onto the salad, making it a big fail. It was my free birthday meal from Eggs Up so I didn't make a fuss about it, but brought it home and threw it away. My husband & I regularly eat breakfast here on the weekends. Most of the time we are pleased. I've tried asking for toast that is toasted but very seldom get it. It's mainly a slice of bread that has no brown on it. My husband likes to get a biscuit toasted but it's not brown either. I think the mgt should talk more to the customers & come out & ask people how their food was. Even though the sausage looks brown in the picture it was barely cooked & cold. Please teach your cook to understand toast should be brown. The most observant waitress is Jessica that we can see. She works with a sense of urgency. Katie is also attentive.
