It's been a while since our last visit, but we usually stop by this location since the Walmart location in Fernley tends to be much busier. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by both Leila and Ethan, who even opened the doors for us when they saw us pulling into the parking lot. That small gesture made a great first impression. They were quick and efficient in preparing our sandwiches exactly as requested and provided friendly service throughout our visit. Both employees stayed busy cleaning and maintaining the facility with the supplies they had available, which was appreciated. The only area that could use some attention is the floor mats and restrooms, as they would benefit from a deep cleaning. Other than that, everything was good, and we enjoyed our visit. Okay so, first of all the guy there was literally non stop talking to us and that's fine but he was trying too hard. He even asked which one of us was paying which is just borderline weird if you ask me. We continued ordering our sandwiches nonetheless when one of us asks for light mayonnaise and he puts on a bunch. This is my go-to lunch place when I am working in Fernley and need to grab something quick. Three stars - nothing special, nothing bad. It is what it is and it is what I expect from a small-town Subway. I have been there when the line has been just about out the door (need to check the HS lunch schedule before going) and when I was the only customer there. No matter how busy, they are efficient and and friendly and get you through the line with the food very quickly. The bread has always been fresh and the front area is always clean. There is not a lot of seating and I would imagine that it would not be the most comfortable dining experience if they were really busy, but that is not an issue for me as I always do take-out. I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to To-go orders and such. The staff is fairly young and they need to work on their people skills. Most times their attitude stinks. But I would kindly suggest this store gives its employees (dealing with customers) some more training. Wasted my lunch time coming here. I spend $30-40 3x a week here but because the manager, Zoe, doesn't want to allow me customize my order, I couldn't get my sick roommate the only thing that she wanted. Apparently they cant do an Italian BMT in a wrap because it costs them money in broken wraps. Despite the fact that they advertise for it. How ridiculous they can't use half the meat and 3 slices of pepperoni and salami, but can overload the wrap with lettuce? I'm livid I spend so much money there and the manager is restricting her employees from making us happy. Out of principle, i will be giving my money to port of subs where they at least allow me to order what i want. Over a few slices of pepperoni and a speech about how the wraps break and costs her money and messes with her inventory. She wouldn't offer help to get me to speak to the owner. I had to complain to the corporation instead, and said that there was no button for me to customize the wrap. Money isn't the issue. I'd pay whatever they wanted. Charge me cookies to make up the difference, I really don't care, but to tell me I can't have what I want when the ingredients are all right there, is incomprehensible to me. I've been in this location twice now since I'm not big on having to go into Wal-Mart where the other Subway is. Both times the ladies behind the counter have been nice and quick. It's clean in the eating area, and behind the counter. I did notice that the avocado is not discolored blob in a bin. The sandwiches are good, as in any other Subway, however the customer service at this place STINKS! I sent my husband to get sandwiches for the family, only five, and the girl behind the counter kept telling him that he should have called this order in. She did not say it once, and not twice, but so many times that it made the experience quite uncomfortable. When I called her to ask why she was being rude to my husband, she stated that he was lying and just exaggerating the situation because my sandwich was wrong and he probably didn't want to get in trouble.
