Worst customer service ever! I just had the worst customer service experience I've ever had possibly anywhere. It was shocking. I arrived 4 minutes before my app order said it would be ready. The manager asked when my order was supposed to be ready. I said, 1pm. She wagged her finger in my face and said, "don't come early" even though there was no one in line and the subs were sitting there on the counter finished. She then explained why she didn't make the subs the way I ordered in the app, left off the cheese, and wrong bread. She said cheese costs extra, even though I was charged in the app!!! I left feeling scolded and unwelcome. Literally a horrible experience from start to finish. After I use up my remaining gift card I may never go back. The whole thing makes me sad as I like Subway, but this particular manager has treated me with distain for years, and it has only gotten worse. 1. This store never accepts coupons. Manager said "Richmond only". Well this store is the Richmond metro area. I don't think a national chain will create coupons that say "Goochland". 2. Manager is rude and should not be in customer service. The owner knows this from the number of complaints received over the years. My gut is the owner and manager are relatives and the manager will never be held accountable for her poor customer service. I can see why there is such a large turnover of staff at this location. No one deserves to be yelled at in public. The employees could probably file a complaint for a hostile work environment and win. 3. It's just not a friendly or welcoming place. Subs are made with as few ingredients as possible. If anyone asks for more lettuce or onions the response is a huff. In 2022, I've decided to make more intentional decisions. This is the worse Subway I have been to. The prices are high $36 dollars for a footlong, one kids sandwich and a 6in, (2) chip and 3 drinks. One of them should have been cheaper because of the chips and drink but was not. They didn't have a variety of bread only wheat or white. The owner, manager or whatever she is has a very nasty attitude not only with her customer but also her employees. Where she should be happy to have people visiting her establishment in this small area but her attitude says different. Quality of the food is much better here than at most subways. Even when the place gets slammed, they still manage to move stuff along at a reasonable pace. Riley seems to always be on top of the situation. He always gets my order perfectly right. read more

This is what it's like to have a captive audience. There are not a LOT of dining choices in Goochland, but steer clear of this one. Subway is fairly uniform to any other chain except for the 50/50 chance of getting stale bread, the owner seems to hate her clientele, the tomato's stay soggy or are end pieces, light or little condiments mean nothing to the sandwich artist owner behind the counter, it's gotta be the worst subway franchise for 100 miles in any direction. The cookies are never fresh. If I could give it no stars I would. There is a pretty good variety of subs available here, and you can request any vegetable toppings on your sub. The store is clean and service has been quick, except when there is a school sporting event and the crowd rolls in. read more

Recent visit ordered a foot long ham and cheese to go. What we received was mainly a lettuce sandwich. Disappointed.

The customer service here is horrible. The manager is not friendly!! The food I ordered had hairs in it and the manager treated me as if I was in the wrong. If I could give negative stars I would. Worst service I have ever received. I ordered my food online to pick up during my lunch, I have my payment information and confirmation. They first gave me the wrong sandwich I went to my car to eat and noticed then brought it back in the store. They could not find my order and would not make me a sandwich without charging me again. I wasted my entire lunch and never got to eat nor did I get my money back. I asked for a card to speak to a manager and they would not give me anything. No number no names nothing. Absolutely unacceptable this ruined subway for me. I work in customer service and that was by far the worst interaction. Not only did I get no help, no phone number or name of someone in charge no refund, and no food. My entire lunch was taken from me with this matter. 10/22/2020 1:00 pm I was in the store. 2 employees in there a woman and a gentlemen neither could help me or give me someone in charge? My god, I know subway is bad but this place is BAAAAD. I went in on the Wednesday after Halloween for a quick bite and I waited at the counter for about three or four minutes and was finally greeted by the owner/manager Rupal, who asked me "what do you want" as if I was interrupting her busy day staring at the vegetables in the back. I asked her for the carved turkey sandwich, but they were out of carved turkey, so I asked if she could substitute regular turkey or chicken which seemed to piss her off as she put chicken and turkey on my sub in an angry fashion. I got to the register and she tried to charge me for a different sandwich, to which I said that I only wanted the sub of the month that I asked for. She started to yell at me that I needed to pay her for double meat and a lot of other stuff I didn't quite understand, though I tried to. She kept yelling so I left. read more

The manager is very rude and is a cheapskate. She skimps on the toppings and the meat and is always gawking at the customers to make sure there arent getting a refill on their drinks. How Subway can let this go in is beyond me. This lady has no idea how to run a business and apparently keeping the customers happy is not a priority for her. Stopped by for lunch when I was at work. I saw the 1 star rating and the complaints about the owner. It was Monday and I was looking for a fight! This Subway is the most poorest ran restaurant I have ever seen. It is dirty the spoon that they stir the sweet tea with is so dirty it's black. There is ice build-up around the trays that they keep the meats in. The lady who runs the subway is extremely rude she goes out of her way to argue with the customers. She gets an attitude when you ask for extra although you're paying for it. You have to watch when she rings you up she often tries to charge more. Everybody in the county talks about how bad she treats the customers and the employees. I can't believe Subway will allow this when you call Subway corporate they say they'll let the manager know. The woman that owns/manages the place, Rupal, has been consistently mean to many customers and charges incorrectly. She does not add enough meat to the sandwiches, and charges double if you want a full scoop of chicken teriyaki on a 6 inch (which is wrong according to subway regulations). My teenage children went into this location with a friend on January 20, 2017. They all ordered subs and a drink. They paid for them and sat down to eat. My son said the owner/operator who checked them out kept starring at him while they were eating. She finally pointed to him and told him to come to the register. He approached her in front of a restaurant full of customers and proceeded to tell my son he did not pay for his sub. He explained they asked for 3 subs and 3 drinks. She told him if he did not pay, she was going to call the police on him. After looking at the receipt, she charged for 3 drinks and 2 subs. My son paid the $3.14 which he owed but was terribly embarrassed and upset how he was treated as a paying customer. I approached this woman a week later and told her I was upset that she threatened my son by telling him she would call the police on him. She denied it and said she would never say such a thing. I explained we would not be back. We had been going to this location for over a year. She was never extremely friendly and hard to understand her speaking English or lack thereof. I was offered a free sub from her husband after Subway headquarters contacted them. I declined the offer. Will not set foot in this location ever again. She needs a lesson on how to treat a customer. read more
