    a menu for a restaurant

Had a great meal here on a Saturday night. Although I was expecting more Mediterranean items, I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of food. The Brussels as an appetizer we're good- unexpected preparation. I had the bbq chicken salad, while others enjoyed the fish tacos. Good food. Nice drink menu. Friendly servers and felt busy but cozy.

This is a nice restaurant with some unique menu options, as well as some classics. It has a very clean and homey vibe. The service is the only thing that is lacking. While adequate, it wasn't really friendly considering it is in a small town. However, it was a nice place to visit.

We had a great dinner here. We brought both kids and showed up around 6:40pm, late for us, but I had just voted after my husband got off work. Kids hung tight and it all went well! Server was friendly and the place was pretty full, with folks who looked like they might be regulars sitting at the bar and a few tables full too. The food came out fairly quickly and was all tasty! I had the shrimp tacos, which were filling and definitely not stingy, but I'm a hungry person and also currently pregnant so I did wish they came with a side. My husband had the French dip sandwich which looked awesome and he enjoyed. The sidewinder fries are really delicious! (I of course snuck a few from my husband and son). We have been meaning to try this place since we moved to the area but only finally got around to it. We'll definitely be back, plenty on the menu looked like something I wanted to try. The vibe felt upscale but still warm and inviting. Really impressed and very happy to have a place like this nearby, because most other "date-night worthy" places are quite the drive away from our rural home. Cheers, eccoti!

A gem that is worth the drive! There were 6 of us in our party and we all enjoyed our food. Good happy hour specials as well. The staff was ver attentive. I highly recommend!

What a cute and quant place. The dining room is intimate and inviting and the bar is just big enough. The service was outstanding! The food was AMAZING!! We had the burgers, I know.. burgers at an Italian restaurant... but trust me, the burgers were cooked perfect and had a nice char with a toasted brioche bun. Go get you some.

Had a lovely mid afternoon visit with a friend. The food was delicious and presentation was outstanding! I was very impressed with the service, food, beverages and decor. Will definitely visit again the next time I'm in the area.

This one's worth the slight (~5m) side trip off of I-64 between Richmond and Charlottesville. The Banger shrimp was delicious.

We stopped here after a trip to Grand Caverns and am glad we found this place…read more They feature large portions of tasty and enjoyable BBQ with VERY friendly service and a bit of a European flavor, especially on some of the sides. They're not open every day so be sure and check their hours before you head there. The pulled pork was lean and fresh with the smoky flavor you're looking for. The non-mayo based slaw was excellent with lots of flavor that went perfectly with the pork. The cabbage was also enjoyable with more flavor than you'd expect and the BBQ beans were also top notch with a unique cinnamon type flavor. I also enjoyed their version of the Georgia Mustard BBQ sauce. We were full but got some banana pudding to go and it was very enjoyable. I recommend grabbing some to go. I enjoyed my meal and will be back again if I'm in the area.

We pulled in and walked in, and sure enough, it was open. I'm so glad, too. The food was very good. Before I get to that, let me first compliment the ownership and staff of this establishment on their incredible renovation with this place. It had such a cozy feel to it when I first walked in, and we were immediately welcomed by the owner, Lejla. She is a very welcoming person who made sure our experience was as good as it could be. The decor of this place was also nice. It has a modern southern charm to it. Also paying tribute to the military with the wall art and to the city of Waynesboro with the old historic pictures. They seem to also have a decent beer menu. I didn't partake in it, but I noticed some good selections. There was a decent amount of seating in the back, plus I saw a large table in the front that held at least 6-8 people. Lejla also mentioned that once the weather gets warmer, she'll be opening up the patio that will have an additional 10 tables out there. Now, to the food, which is what everyone wants to know about. My wife and I both got the pulled pork plates. Which was $12. It came, of course, with a large amount of pulled pork, a side, and cole slaw. They have two different types of cole slaw, creamy and crunchy. The crunchy is vinegar based slaw with banana peppers added(no seeds). The creamy is your standard slaw. You also got to pick between 3 different sauces for your pulled pork(sweet, spicy, and Carolina). We added a bun for an additional $1, and we added another side for an additional $4. Our sides, we both got the smoked macaroni and cheese, and I also got the baked beans, and my wife also got the mashed potatoes. The food was amazingly good! The pulled pork was so tender, and it had a great smoked flavor. By the time I made my sandwich, it was HUGE. It took everything I had to keep it together. We both got the Carolina sauce, and it is a well-made Carolina sauce. It's very strong tasting in a great way. My wife got the crunchy slaw(the vinegar based), and she said it added even more of a flavor to her pulled pork sandwhich. The portion size of everything we received was also incredible! The smoked macaroni and cheese was great, and the baked beans were probably in the top best I've ever had. The mashed potatoes had a great smooth buttery taste to them. Overall, it was a great experience! Everything was top-notch. To the service and staff who were all friendly and helpful. To the comfortable atmosphere and incredible food. I can't wait to experience this place for a long time. By the way, they have quite a bit of options with their menu, and if I enjoyed their pulled pork this much, then I can only imagine how great the rest of the menu items are. Don't forget to check out their deserts out front in the case as well. We grabbed some banana pudding to have later on at home, and it was great, too! Go and support this place. You won't be disappointed.

I visited Adarra for the first time recently. Ambience, service, drinks, wine selection and food -…read moreall wonderful. I commend them for going after the top end of the market. I tried one of the specials that I now see pictured in every restaurant review - butterflied trout. I admit it was phenomenal and I'm shocked how anyone can get a trout to take up so much space on a plate! My only regret is that I did not ask for the price before ordering. I'm glad I didn't inquire, otherwise I would not have ordered it. It was fantastic.- I think $70 for a trout entree is a reach. Even though it was a special, at that price point I think the servers should tell you the price regardless of whether you asked. I truly appreciate great food; both cooking it and it and eating it. We are fortunate to have so many great restaurants in Richmond. Adarra is not in my price range for very frequent visits in spite of them doing everything exceptionally well. I will go back, but I can't justify it being part of my regular rotation.

I came here for my 30th birthday and had the best time! I was looking for a spot open on Monday…read moreevenings and Adarra had an opening. I booked a table for four. The green building is unmarked so it took us a second to feel confident about going inside. It's located in Oregon Hill so there is some street parking around. We live nearby so walked to it. I had the best culinary experience with my favorite people. It's a very dark and moody restaurant, great for intimate or romantic moments. They recommend you do family style. We ordered five dishes for our four person group. Someone in our party was gluten free and it was not hard to accommodate that. I believe they cook almost all the meals on a open fire. The menu changes with the seasons and I wish I took a picture to share the proper names of what we had, but here is what we tried: Cocktails: We each got one and they are very creative cocktails. I love how experimental they get with them. I tried a clarified strawberry mojito which wasn't too sweet and easy to drink. A friend of mine got a mojito old fashioned that was strong and had nice bitters. I'm blanking on my fiancé's drink, but it was my favorite for its sweetness and carbonation. My best friend got a unique martini-like drink with onion and salt she loved. Asparagus Salad: This was refreshing and perfect for the spring day we had. I loved the cream and strawberry components. Scallops: These were so tasty. I loved the bed of salt they were on, it really brought out the flavors. Octopus: This was my favorite dish of the evening. The flavors were GREAT. I started with the potatoes and spinach part and was already in love with the dish. I was so happy that they cooked the octopus to perfection. Drum: This was at the bottom of the list of what we had for me, but still really yummy. The silky fish was a bit plain without it's very tasty crunchy skin, but if you combined the two it was good. Trout: We devoured this. This was the star of the show for my fiancé. It was huge and great for four people (considering we ate a bunch of other plates before). The oil it came is was so yummy. It was a good fish y'all, good fish is good fish. Basque cheesecake with olive oil drizzle: My birthday cake choice for the evening. The olive oil was a little overpowering for me, but the cheesecake was still yummy. We loved our experience here. It seems like a lot of recent reviews have some issues with the timing, but it worked lovely for our group. We got there at 5:30pm and left around 7:30pm. We wanted a more relaxed experience and loved our conversation so it did not feel this long. But it is worth being mindful about timing. We did take a while to order drinks. Overall, it was a tasty and lovely time here. It's a pricier restaurant, but totally worth it. This has been on my want to try list for a long time and I am beyond happy I finally tried it.
