Not as good as other subways. Not enough seating. Long waiting times. Only thing good in my opinion is the staff

The concept is really well done, with a fun atmosphere, a large outdoor patio with covered picnic tables, and a small indoor seating area. It was just too hot to enjoy the patio during our visit, so we opted to eat inside. The menu focuses on sandwiches, salads, and grain bowls. Our group tried three sandwiches: the La Familigia, the Big Schlepper, and the Hillcrest. The La Familigia was enjoyable. The combination of capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, fresh mozzarella, arugula, and the spicy pickled pepper spread on ciabatta created a flavorful, well-balanced sandwich that I'd happily order again. The Big Schlepper was another winner. The corned beef paired perfectly with the Swiss cheese, spicy Dijon aioli, pickles, shaved cabbage, and caraway rye bread. Every bite had great texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the Hillcrest didn't meet expectations. When you think of chicken salad with apples and pecans, you expect that classic creamy chicken salad flavor. This version was much drier, with little to no mayonnaise, and the flavor was very different from a traditional chicken salad. In fact, someone at our table commented that it had an almost "fishy" taste, which was surprising. To be fair, taste is subjective, and I'm sure there are people who enjoy this style of chicken salad, so I'm only sharing the opinion of the person who ordered it. I mentioned the feedback to one of the employees, hoping they might appreciate hearing a customer's perspective, but the response felt indifferent, which was disappointing. Overall, Pump Social has a great concept, a fun atmosphere, and two of the three sandwiches were very good. I'd definitely return to explore more of the menu, but I'd skip the Hillcrest next time.

It exceeded what I had in my mind. They lost a star because there were little too many bugs flying around. I ordered a drink that had a sugar rim and the mix she had made for the drink had tons of bugs flying in and around it, so I had to switch to beer. The food..we did the deviled eggs, which were good, not a wow just your basic deviled eggs nothing fancy. We got the smoked wings, fish and chips and stuffed hush puppies. Everything was good. The stuffed hush puppiss stole the show for me. They were stuffed with pimento cheese and came with a side of this garlic butter! They were absolutely amazing and so flavorful. The wings were also very good, we got the cheerwine BBQ I've never heard nor had but man, so good. The fish and chips were good. Excellent cooked seasoned fries. Two nice pieces of fish. For me the fish was little over fried, but still very enjoyable.

Towel City Tavern has two floors and is connected to the baseball stadium. Only the first floor was open during my visit. The Cabarrus Brewing Co. serving tanks are what you see as you enter. If you order a beer, it will be fresh as it comes directly from the tanks, as it is brewed on site. The restaurant's name pays homage to the city's textile roots and the towels made at the mills. The restaurant design also incorporated the town's history with Cannon Mills. The restaurant has an industrial feel with the open kitchen, high ceilings, concrete floors, exposed brickwork and steel structures. The tables were crafted from a 160-year-old tree that fell on the mill property. There were garage doors that likely opened during the games. They offer a $10 lunch special that includes a drink, side and entree. The $10 menu had a lot to select from: sandwiches, wraps, salads, wings, and a burger. I went with the All-American burger and fries. My burger was a good size, cooked to order and tasted great. The fries were really good, too. Service was great and attentive too. I was even offered a tea to go. My waiter got me in and out of the restaurant fast so I could get to the Music Hall of Fame on time. I did stop at the mural again on my way back to the car. Parking was free in the street spots and no time limits. Although I am not sure about the rules on game days/nights. With my favorite mural on the building, I have a feeling I will be back again to try more menu items and maybe see a ballgame too.
