Subway is my go-to lunch spot when I'm working, and I've always felt the value is hard to beat. This particular location is also the closest one to my home, so I visit fairly often. The food is consistently good, and I want to give credit to the employee who is usually working when I come in. She does a fantastic job and works incredibly hard. My only concern is that she often seems to be working by herself, even when the store is busy. When several customers come in at once, it understandably becomes difficult for one person to keep up. I usually order ahead through the app, and even when I receive a notification that my order is ready, I'll sometimes arrive to find several customers waiting and my order hasn't been completed yet. I completely understand why, and I don't fault the employee at all. She seems to be doing everything she possibly can under the circumstances. This is really more of a suggestion for the owners or management: please consider having another employee working during busier times. It would make things easier for your staff and provide a better experience for your customers. I'll definitely continue coming here. I had a very frustrating experience with this location. I accidentally placed my order at this store (1230 W Imperial Hwy, La Habra) instead of the Brea location since both are on Imperial Highway. It was an honest mistake made through the app, and unfortunately there is no cancellation option available. When I realized the error, I called the store multiple times (over 5 times) before someone finally answered. I politely explained that I placed the order at the wrong location and asked if it could be canceled since I was on my way to work and La Habra is in the opposite direction for me. The employee simply said, "It's ready, come get it," and when I tried to explain again, he hung up on me mid-sentence. Mistakes happen. I understand that. But the lack of basic customer service and the disrespect of hanging up on a customer is unacceptable. Very disappointed with how this was handled. read more

Had a feeling the server was the owner- friendly but definitely saving little money on vege but losing big money by losing customers. People do look at the ingredients. BUYER BEWARE. Make sure you get your whole order. The owner will try to rip you off. I ordered a combo which is supposed to come with a cookie. The owner will try to play dumb and not give it to you unless you bring it up. The first time it happened, I thought he just forgot. The second time is not a coincidence. Lettuce looks wilted and yellow. Bread tastes like cardboard. Also tried to ask for extra olives and they put like 3 extra olive slices. I ordered online once and they definitely put less meat than normal probably because I wasn't there watching them make it. I'm just trying to get what I paid for. As a former employee for this establishment, do not try to work here. The management is very unprofessional and the manager Riz treats her employees terribly. When you work with her she steals your tips after making you work your ass off and she doesn't have people skills. She doesn't treat you like a human being. It was just a very bad experience for being employed for the first time. There was a lot of miscommunication about schedules and they expect you to change your hours at the drop of a dime. The manager here that was trying to help my family and I was very rude when we were asking questions in regards to certain cheeses being continued. She ignored us and walked away and made one of her other employees take care of us which is completely okay because I don't like bad energy getting transferred onto my food. I am a former employee (using a different name) this picture attached is the manager she treated me very poorly as a human it was my first job when I was in a "formal" setting when we were working in front of customers she would always make comments such as "you are doing this wrong" very loudly as well as when she was helping a customers the manager (Riz) would stop and make me finish what she had started and instead she would take my tips I got very frustrated and instead I tried to do something else but she made me go home but when I tried to tell her what she was doing she would cut me off mid sentence and said "yeah, well who's going to pay you" over all the work is okay but the management was very bad, also the hours I was given was very poor they have another store in Brea and she made me work there when I told her I couldn't over all if you are planning to look for a job I do not recommend applying here read more

I decided to go to to Subway to try the new free Cali Fresh turkey sandwich. I usually don't go to this particular store, but it was the closet to me at the moment. I wasn't really impressed, the ingredients didn't taste very fresh and I couldn't taste the cheese, but the avocado was good. Not wanting to grab and go with my free sandwich I purchased a cup of soup since it was broccoli cheese, one of my favorites. After I paid, I believe it was the owner/manager rudely told the girl working to get a soup. She proceeded to put a cup of soup in a microwave. I have always remembered a pot of hot soup on the side. First off I don't own a microwave because of personal reasons and second had I known I would be given a cup of microwaved soup I would've never ordered it. The soup was terrible and as I ate the vegetables the flavor worsened. I get it perhaps an owner is not happy about having to serve 50 free subs, but wouldn't you want to impress those coming to your restaurant with fresh tasting ingredients. Besides there was not a line of people waiting to get a free sub. During my quick stop only four people arrived including myself. One of my biggest problems was that there's no need to be rude to your employees. There was a young girl and guy working and as soon as I ordered the free sub he came out to micro manage the two employees. There was a women behind me and the guy made her sandwich and gave it to her before I could be rung up for my soup, the owner/manager began to get to upset that he didn't ring up the free sub. He was very rude to the young employees and all I could think was why work under these conditions with so many places hiring. Do not go to this subway ! I am warning you just like previous customers saying the manager (riz) is rude and that she should get demoted is true ! So I place an online order at 3:24 pm for a pickup order at 4:05pm . I came in around 4:08pm and walked up asking for my order . And with a confused face she said that on her end there was no order placed . So I go and show her my order number and confirmation . And asked what can I do , she says ,rudely, there's nothing she can do cause on her end it doesn't show it . So standing there ,dumbfounded , I asked again what I should do and she said nothing she can do and I should leave . I was so mind blown ! So I said so you want me to leave when the bank took my money already and with no food ???? At this point I'm livid ! And showed her my bank statement showing the bank already took my money . She tried to somehow blame me saying maybe I placed the order at the wrong place (showed her the confirmation with there address) and then she goes and tries to reset her computer . And that didn't help so I say can you call corporate or the manager (she looks and says she's the manager *palm to face* ) and I said well who's higher up from you call them . So after 10 mins ! She finally calls her supervisor and he has the order on his end . She goes and proceeds making the sandwich and not one apology . I understand the situation of the computers being off but after showing all my confirmations and transactions she should of handled this better instead of telling me to leave . On top of this all I asked for the supervisors number and she clearly gave me the wrong number so she doesn't get in trouble . I just ordered sandwiches from this location. As I was eating my first two bites I realized the bread had mold on it. I called and let them know, the employee was quick to offer me a refund, so I took it. She just called back and left a voicemail saying she couldn't give me a refund unless I go in and show the mold. Which is understandable. However I already threw the sandwich away since she made that promise. And my pregnant nauseous self doesn't feel like digging through the trash. My husbands meatball sub wasn't toasted and he experienced rude customer service when picking up the food. The person making my sandwich added too much meat (two extra pieces) so the owner or manager tried taking the meat out of my sand which when it was already made. I felt bad for the young lady who messed up since it was a monthly special sand which. Maybe they should do more training. Then they charge me for the extra meat. It was a $3.50 6" that turned into a $6 6" for the extra pieces. So I said I would just get a footlong for $5. So the owner/manager unwrapped my sand which and took the pieces out and put it on another 6". I didn't think two pieces of meat was more important than losing a customer.
