The entrance on the side of the building can be tricky to notice, so don't blink, otherwise, you might miss it. Since I'm not from Lafayette, I looked it up ahead of time on Google Maps and zoomed in to see exactly where it was. The restaurant is medium-sized and kept clean, with generous portion sizes. I ordered an Impossible burger with fries, which was fine. My friends ordered shrimp linguine, which they enjoyed, while another friend got gyros fries and nachos; she thought her meal was just okay. Overall, my experience was average, but everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. If you're in the area, I would recommend checking it out, it's worth a try!

We had the grinder and the fried chicken sandwich. The grinder had great flavor. The fried chicken breast sandwich is brined and the meat has a pink hue that has caused some people to think it's not cooked thoroughly. But that is not correct according to the restaurant. It's due to the brining process for the chicken. The prices were good. The service was good. The not so good, the fries are hand cut and thin. They would have been great except they were lukewarm and seemed to have been sitting out awhile. The onion rings were terrible. Also hand cut but the breading fell off all the onions. They did not have good flavor either. I recommend coming into the building by Nom Nom if you have people who have trouble with stairs. The other entrance has two steps but there's no railing. My 81 year old mother had trouble with that. We learned of the other entrance and used that one when we left.

From their handcrafted syrups, to their well thought-out recipes, every single item on their menu is, in its own way, an absolute carnival to the senses. The entire staff works together flawlessly, and really create the overall eccentric vibe you won't be able to help but fall in love with. There's a variety of different types of seating and different lighting, and the music will never disappoint. They typically have a collection going for different important causes, sometimes local, sometimes global, and actively provide a safe space for all. When you buy coffee at a place like this, it's so much more than just buying coffee, you are empowering those, who empower others.

I had a sesame bagel with lox and cucumber and capers and cream cheese it was delicious. I ate every single bite with relish. My husband had a BLT on sourdough with avocado and something else. I don't know what and he didn't know, but it was really good and he enjoyed every bite too. the coffee is excellent. The people are nice. It's a very young crowd, very college age and although I am i'm much older woman. I felt perfectly comfortable. Don't be intimidated because it's not your usual Indiana experience. We had a relaxed and delicious lunch. The food is delicious well prepared and served promptly. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I live a little over an hour away from Wepa Cafe and honestly I would drive here every day if I could. Walking in, I am immediately transported to a typical restaurant back on the island. The decor, the music playing, and the delicious smell transport me back to the island as you walk in. Jorge and his crew are top tier people! Everyone is friendly, attentive, and you can tell that they are putting so much love into the food. Let's talk food, I am critical of PR food outside of the island, but there is nothing to be critical of at Wepa. Everything is fresh and made to order. The flavors are exactly as they are back home and it is all absolutely delicious. My family and I ordered so much off the menu and we were impressed by it. We ordered Alcapurrias, rellenos de Papa, Sorullos de Maiz, and Bacalaitos to start. We also got jugos de parcha and let me tell you, that juice is FRESH!! As for our entrees, everyone got mofongos which are to die for!!! As well as rice and beans with shrimp, tilapia and bistec. Everything was delicious. I can't emphasize enough how good the food is. Lastly we shared a flan and a tembleque de coco. That tembleque is the best tembleque I have had in my life. As for the flan, it transported my 93 yr old grandma back to her childhood letting us know that the flan tasted exactly as the one her grandmother used to make. That in itself should let you know how good the food is. I honestly wished I lived closer but I am willing to make the drive to visit a piece of home. Gracias Wepa Cafe por traer la isla a Indiana!!

The sandwiches, dishes, apps, drinks, and desserts are all incredibly top notch. I'm surprised with the consistency for a small spot, blown away by the balance of curious tasty flavors, and hope there's a franchise in the works. Wepa is friendly, easy going, has outdoor tables, plenty of space, and does everything possible for an American territory cuisine. Yes, you do not need a passport visiting Perto Rico! I need to go.
