We will never come back to this location again. MULTIPLE issues. 1. First thing I ordered was an adult sized cheese quesadilla for my 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, who was with me. Employee told me he couldn't make an adult size, only a kid size. I said, no, I want an adult size because the kid size isn't enough for my daughter. Employee said it's an online order only. I asked why? That's ridiculous! Employee said there is a line and it takes too long. I stated that that was what my child wanted. Employee eventually got the manager and manager stated the same thing. I said the quesadilla could have been done by now while we've been arguing. She said I needed to go to back of line and order online the quesadilla. I said I want additional items, put the quesadilla on the griddle please and move on. The employee at the cash register said I had to move down to order the quesadilla. I didn't move and again I loudly stated I needed an adult cheese quesadilla FOR MY CHILD. So employee finally put one on the griddle and I ordered two burrito bowls to go. I did NOT yell, I was NOT mean. I was firm and clear. My child was hungry and that's what she liked, so of course that's what I'm getting for her. When paying, I asked employee how long this policy had been in effect and she said since she had been there, so at least a year. I said we had been to a Chipotle a month or so ago and had zero issue and she said it varies by location. Again, ridiculous. Train your employees to multi-task. You should have a timer to go off when it's done so they can come back to it. They don't have to stand there babysitting it. 2. They were out of fajita veggies, the lettuce was drowning in water, and they were out of unsweet tea which my husband only drinks due to no sugar. I asked an employee if they had any unsweet tea and he said no, the tea canister has been leaking and we are out. He flipped the spout and it dripped. There was a huge puddle of tea underneath. 3. The restaurant was filthy. Tables were dirty, floor was dirty, trash was full. 4. To top it off, our food wasn't even good! Bland & cold. EXTREMELY disappointed. The food was just completely dull. Hardly any flavor to anything. The only thing with flavor was the salsa and holy cow it was salty as heck. Carnita burrito, fresh tomato salsa, sour cream, beans, brown rice, cheese. Bland. The queso? Bland. The only reason for the 2nd star is the cleanliness and the employees were fine. I've been disappointed at this Chipotle location the few times I have been here. I always order on the app and pick up. Today I had been craving guacamole, so I ordered a vegetarian burrito bowl with guacamole. Fajita veggies weren't available. I picked up my order and headed home. As soon as I opened the bowl I saw that they had forgotten the guac. And guac was the reason I had ordered from Chipotle today. We eat here at least 1-3 times a week because we love the food! It's the fast food version of healthy eating. The staff is friendly and helpful and the menu is easy to figure out. There are items you can ask for that are not on the menu such as nachos, and quesadillas. I am in love with the cilantro rice so I always ask for extra with no extra cost. The food always has fresh ingredients. The only thing I would change is if they could do to go orders in a different prep line. If they have a ton of orders it can delay the line of people there waiting to order, otherwise everything is great. They are busy during peak times except during the summer months. It's in a great location right off the interstate 65 and easy to get to. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in Lafayette. read more

Overall a great experience the team was friendly the manager was very nice, and when our queso was cold (probly due to cold weather) they offered to get us a fresh one. We were low on lettuce,but they happily loaded us up with extra lettuce when I noticed there wasn't as much as I would have liked(personal preference thing) . The bathrooms could be a little more well kept but meh that's alright it happens. cmon give this place a try ! When there is friendly customer service, honestly it's one of the best reasons to come back. Great team, friendly faces and willing to make a great experience for their customers. The prices are higher at this chipotle. It's $9.60 for chicken, when in West Lafayette it is $8.50. My chicken was so salty that it was almost unedible. Also there was like jalapeños in my freaking lettuce. I would not recommend eating at this chipotle location. read more

My order was not only ready when I arrived (didn't have to wait in the long line) but it was a spectacular burrito. A sign on their door says they close at 9:35pm instead of 10pm listed on Google, Yelp and Chipotle's app. Stopped by on our way home - had 90 minutes from their listed closing time and they were "done making veggies for the night." It's one of their main ingredients?! I came here while on a road trip hoping to get something somewhat healthy to eat among a bunch of fast food restaurants that sell burgers and fries. But when I got in line and started ordering my food, I discovered that there were no fajita vegetables and the girl helping me had no clue when they would have more. I don't eat meat and I did not want sofritas because I don't want soy. With no vegetables as an option for me, I could not eat here. The sad part is that I was actually willing to wait until more vegetables to be made. But she was unwilling to go and check on the ETA of vegetables. First time I've been to Chipotle in a while as we've been on a qdoba kick. I dunno, but it just didn't hit the spot. The flavor wasn't there and they don't have any cookies for dessert. My worker/wrapped was a bit unskilled as he had to wrap it twice and it stilled seemed like it was falling apart on me. It was super full though and had so much in it I didn't even eat it all. I can't express how much it means to me when an establishment (especially a chain restaurant which are not always know for their kindness) is so awesome. We were just passing through as travelers on our way home, but it just makes all the difference in the world when I'm greeted to a clean restaurant, a friendly staff, and delicious food. My only complaint (and it's generally one I have with all chipotles) is no changing table in the restroom - but we always get by. Thank you guys for seeing the weary road warriors who just needed a little rest and replenishment. You made our day with your kindness and service. We'll definitely remember this location on any future trips as a good place to stop. High fives to you all! read more

I've been to many Chipotle's, but this one seems to be the worst. My food was served cold, but the service was served colder. It's not so much the employees as it is the manager, who on repeat occasions has been very flippant about providing decent customer service. It seems they have cross-contamination issues as well... miscellaneous things in the guac that don't belong. One time their credit card machine wasn't working, and the manager made a smart ass remark that we ought to have another way to pay. You've got a love chipotle. This place always has really great food - and pretty generous portions. My one beef with this place is that has atrocious parking. There are many times when I would love to have some chipotle, but just because of parking I decide to go somewhere else. I always order a veggie bowl. No meat no cheese. I find the red salsa to always be a bit too salty so I usually go with the green. I prefer the spicier one but I've learned to not take my chances. I found my chips to be under cooked the last time I went which was a bummer (since you pay extra for chips) and the rice was a bit Crunchy too. This specific location is always busy due to it being on campus. The workers are always very nice. I just feel like this location is always hit or miss. Their parking situation isn't the greatest either but then again parking is an issue just about anywhere on campus! read more

The Lafayette, Indiana Chipotle on 26 seems to always disappoint. I generally love Chipotle, but this particular store skims on their food distribution. I usually get a 'bowl' and the quantity of each item they give is almost laughable. I don't expect an extravagant proportion; but barely enough rice to cover the bottom of the bowl and a literal pinch of lettuce is beyond! Hopefully, this location will get with the 'brand' soon. During my lunch visit, the overhead music was way too loud and I actually put in my ear buds to help muffle the noise. Other than that, this location offered the delicious consistency you expect from a Chipotle. I ordered the vegetarian burrito bowl with a side of chips (and lots of chipotle Tabasco sauce), and left not feeling overly full. The staff were efficient, but not overly cold. The bathroom was clean and in order, always a plus in my book. The ingredients tasted fresher than Chipotle's main competitors, as usual; you can really tell a difference in the quality. This is the worst location I have been to located at: 4030 South St, Lafayette, IN 47905. I have been to better Chipotle restaurants at other locations, with much higher standards! For starters, there is no customer service, when my family and friends have visited alongside me, we were not even greeted. Everyone who has worked retail or restaurants, knows the customer is to be greeted upon arrival. Second, the restaurant lobby and restrooms are never maintained, as tables and floors are always filthy, and that is the first thing that deters someone from eating here. Then last we have the high turnover rate, followed by under age and inexperienced management, which may be contributing factor to poor restaurant service. I expect better from Chipotle, as it is one of my favorite healthy option fast restaurants, but this location does not compare to other's I have visited prior to this! read more

Chipotle is usually pretty good, but this location is lagging. They have a high turnover in staff, so you always have a crew of noobs working there. They are pretty abrupt to the point of being rude. I'd say most of the kids do not enjoy their jobs very much. The associates move very slowly, so the line is usually to the door and moves very slowly. Ordering online isn't the answer, because they never have the order ready, and they still make you wait when you get there. If you do order ahead, check your order carefully before you leave because there's a good chance it will be incorrect. read more

I love chipotle, and I was excited to find that it was a very short distance from the hotel I'm staying at this weekend while I am on duty. I am usually not a complainer, I love and appreciate food and not picky at all (except for when it comes to peas...). Back on track though, I had to eat a late dinner, decided on chipotle after running around a bit because I am exhausted. Here are two parts that went wrong... 1) I ordered a sofritas bowl to go (not vegan but it's so good), everything was going pretty smoothly until checkout. I noticed a jar with singles in it and I only had card. Waited for the receipt to print so I could tip... I believe in tipping and like to do it when I can. Well, there was no "tip" area on the receipt and I asked if they can't get tipped by card. They said no, they don't want customers to feel obligated to tip. Which is fine and dandy, understandable, I said that's too bad I don't have cash. Right then, a teenager turned college professor during a lecture seminar. All while two customers behind me are trying to get their food. About how they can't blatantly make you tip and whatever else. I stopped listening and just wanted to get away. Anyways... I know this, I have been a server in the past and even then tips were optional. I understand that it's "not an obligation" so I don't need a five minute lecture, nor do I want to hold other customers up. I'm not even over exaggerating. Other customers were staring and said "well that was interesting" sarcastically, giving a concerned look, or awkward laugh (with me) as I left. I know he was just trying to explain, but I got it the first time. May be blonde but I'm no where near incoherent. I chuckled in disbelief that it had to turn into that, it was embarrassing. I WANTED to tip and it turned into so much more. Very unprofessional. 2) I get back to my hotel room to relax for the night after a long day of work, with another early wake up tomorrow. First bite, I'm CRUNCHING into it, snapping the rice between my teeth, having a hard time chewing because it was barely cooked. RICE is, usually, the main ingredient in every single meal they make.... Yet they serve raw rice. But guess what? I want to go to bed; I needed some fuel; and I still remembered there's a lot of people who don't have the luxury to have food prepared,to their craving for the day, and served for them right at their finger tips. We typically stop here, as it's supposed to be a quick stop, then back on the highway. But this Chipotle is the slowest that I have ever witnessed. The line is always out the door, and I'd say the average custom has roughly 10 minutes at the counter. After watching an employee slowly wipe down the food counter (it took 15 minutes of him barely moving the scraps of cheese and lettuce around), that we just gave up and left.
