There was what I am assuming is a new employee/employee in training at this location today. After waiting in line (behind two people) for nearly 15 minutes I experienced the most bizarre service at Subway. This new employee, who I'm sure had good intentions and was trying their best, should no longer be an employee based on what I experienced today alone. The job is not a good fit for them. This individual was unable to take constructive criticism from their coworker and in turn made a number of people very uncomfortable and ruined their food. The sandwich that I ordered, a meatball marinara, had so much sauce on it (the new employee wrapped it in four different layers of paper because of how messy it was becoming) that it was nearly inedible. The sandwhich sat for a few minutes on the line while being put together in addition to five minutes in the car. Upon opening it, it (and most if its contents) was so soggy that the bread stuck to the paper leaving only the meatballs to be palatable. The store however was clean and organized but as long as this particular employee works there I will not be returning. read more

I have called this store many times and have tried to send in multiple applications. They never pick up the phone and there application don't work. I looked at the reviews and it seems like they mess everyone order up. I just moved and was working for subway. Only one person working to take orders, make sandwiches and be cashier. The employee was polite and kept his head considering the difficult situation he was in. We arrived a little after 2:15 pm. There were 5 people ahead of us on line. It took over 1 hour to get our order. What a waste of time. The owner of this Subway also owns one on Sossaman. We went there a week ago, and there was only one employee working there. She said everyone had quit that day. They were our of many meats and other items. The owner needs to get his/her act together. Every time I have been to this location they mess up my order. It's the closest to my house so it's aggravating that I have to drive even further because I will no longer be going to this location. I've given it 4 tries and every single time my order is wrong. I have eaten at this Subway many times through the years and stopped coming a couple years back due to a few things, first the bread never seemed fresh or it was baked missing ingredients, not really sure but never liked the taste, I bake bread at home so to me, it needs to be soft and fresh, if not then open up a package of premade bread. The previous meat was always skimpy too, I am a plain eater and I order Turkey, Ham, and Cheese with double meat and cheese, with nothing else on it, no condiments, oils, or vegetables, I like to taste the bread, meat and cheese and not everything else, the only way to me to ensure you have quality food on teh sub. Well yesterday I was in a mood for a sub and usually I would order Door Dash from another sub store but, I decided to give this store one more chance, not sure why I did but I did and I was not disappointed for the first time in years. I ordered my traditional Turkey, Ham, and Cheese with double meat and cheese it costs me $14.69 which is a lot of a plain sub, however, it was the first time I felt like I got my money worth, I appreciate that I actually received double meat and cheese and that when they cut my sub they did not use a knife that had previously used, in the past I would get my sub and there was mustard or mayonnaise on teh bread where they cut the sub and it always upset me, if they see you wnat a plain sub, why would you use a knife that has condiments on it to cut a plain sub? doesn't make sense to me and only shows they didn't care about teh customers they were serving. To teh two ladies who made my order on 7/26/23 around 11:30 AM I greatly appreciate the sub that you made for me and my wife enjoyed the chicken bowl as well. My fiancé just went in to order and get our food and the employee Daniel who works night shift wouldn't put tomatoes and pickles in a side dish he wouldn't cut out the coupon or give us scissors to do it ourself. The employee who was working with him finally stepped in and grabbed a dish to put the sides in and we had to rip out our coupon(not a big deal). I arrived at this location at 9:55pm - the lights were on. The OPEN sign was illuminated. I walked in. Two staff were sitting down. I was informed that they are closed. The food has been put away. I looked at the counter - veggies were - I was shocked by he response 'closed' so I didn't look at the meat section. The blonde woman working the counter, unsure if she is the manager or just an associate, is the reason this store/location lost 2 more of it's customers today. Management should seriously evaluate their employees. I work customer service and am more than forgiving if someone is busy or unavailable but this place is a ghost town in there. The younger guy that ended up helping us was friendly enough, but first impressions were set when we walked in and got the greeting, or lack thereof. Normally it has nice people and good food. However at 645 pm on feb12/2023 I went to get a sub and the girl making the sandwich was out of several types of meats and no meatballs and had one loaf of wheat bread they had taking said out of oven but said they were too hot to cut. They seemed to think it was funny and very rude. They laughed when I said they are the worse subway at around 600 pm till closing standing around instead of doing a job. Oh one was busy sweeping instead of making food. customer service the evening shift is rude and would rather tell you what they dont have and what they wont do, however the dayshift seems fine. I left and and I told them I would write a qureview how long does it take to mix meatballs and sauce. I left and went to the subway on signal butte and apache trail and even though it was 700 pm, one girl was there named victoria haas and she was total opposite, very sweet she had bread , meatballs, everything and was so sweet and wonderful and was working very hard, unlike the workers at the subway on Ellsworth between brown and university. This lady knew what customer service was and was working very hard when i came in. I couldn't ask for a more courteous and sweet person. She even felt bad the way I was treated at the subway on Ellsworth. Victoria was wiping down the equipment and sweeping and still greeted me with a smile and how could she help me. Worst subway in the valley. Our visit started out with the female employee touching something on the ground or on her shoe with one glove on. There was no greeting or "What can I get started for you" or "hello". Just after I'd been standing there for a minute she finally whispered "are you ready?" She then proceeded to put her other glove on and put her hands together - transferring whatever was on the ground/shoe onto the other glove. So gross and unsanitary. She then proceeded to making our food. She had long acrylic nails and they poke holes in the gloves. Also gross and unsanitary. The guy she was working with was nice enough and he put all the veggies on while she started other patrons' orders. Then he checked us out with some customer service. I worked at subway for 4 years and I wouldn't touch anything with gloves and then make someone's sandwich. You're supposed to take them off, wash your hands and then put new gloves on and start someone's order. Pain in the ass maybe but that's how you stay sanitary. Also, you're supposed to make sure the restaurant is clean. Drains are clean, fans, floors, light fixtures... No open bags of garbage open by the door. At night this store is relatively slow every time we go so I can't see a reason for that. Every time we go it's the same less than mediocre customer service and a dirty restaurant. I understand working in customer service can be difficult at times, but we barely received the bare minimum. I work 10-12 hour days with the public in customer service and have for 11 years and I've never had someone come in that I didn't greet and at least crack a (sometimes fake) smile for. This place needs some help by either new management/ownership/training. I'm just disgusted and feel dirty after the glove thing and the rest that followed solidified my resolve to never come to this subway again. read more

The sandwiches I get from this location are always very tasty. I haven't ever had to throw my leftovers away because of a bad sandwich. However, I do not always have a good time dealing with the employees. Whenever I come in after 8pm, they are rude to me and act like I'm walking in one minute before they're closing. Horrible service. I walked in to an empty place and still no one greeted me, not the little boy behind the counter or the mgr who was sitting at a table and never looked up! The little boy just stared at me silently till I told him what I wanted, he made my food in silence, never asking if I wanted anything else.
