Raising Cane's has been expanding quickly in the region (MA/NH) over the past few years including locations in Manchester (S Willow St), Worcester, Framingham, Saugus, Medford, Methuen, and more. This new location is 5 minutes from my office and the pricing is currently lower here & in Manchester than at most of the other MA locations (except BU-Comm Ave location). They had a soft opening this week for friends & family and the grand opening was today on January 13, 2026. This place has been sort of hyped up on social media since there are already plenty of chicken places in NH. For fried chicken chains, Concord already has a Popeyes across the road and a KFC. I decided to head over to Raising Cane's in Concord for the morning grand opening which already had a line of people waiting for the doors to open. There were plenty of staff present and corporate store opening team members running the festivities. They were handing out numbered lanyards to keep your place in line to enter the store. There was a DJ and coffee truck here. They were also giving away free Raising Cane's for a year (three The Box Combos per month) to 20 lucky folks by drawing and the first 100 customers got a free box combo coupon & hat. Once I got in the store, I placed my takeout order for The Box Combo in person and it took about 6 minutes for my order to be all set. The dining room has ample high turnover seating in the cozy space with long communal tables & stools, table seating and booths, self serve drink station (Coke fountain drinks/ice tea-sweet & unsweetened), overhanging shiny disco balls, some regional and community decor on the walls. There is also an outside covered open air patio seating area. The Box Combo ($12.49 plus tax) includes 4 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, Texas toast, one Cane sauce cup, and a Medium Drink with crushed ice. The fried breaded chicken fingers were very hot light crisp outside and soft inside, as expected. The crinkle cut fries were salted & a bit soft but still tasty. The cole slaw was wet and had sweet and slight tart flavors. The Texas toast was soft and buttered. The Cane sauce is similar to zingy remoulade sauce. I enjoyed some of my Box Combo chicken fingers with a bottomless iced sweet tea at the store, before heading back to work. As part of the grand opening, there was also a DJ blasting popular upbeat music in the parking lot. The staff here was definitely prepared for the long lines in the store at opening. I got my Raising Cane's The Box Combo with a Sweet Tea, so this made my day a whole lot better! I didn't have to drive very far to this Raising Cane's since it's close to my workplace. I will definitely enjoy many lunches here at the Concord Raising Cane's.

First off, you cant pick up an online order through the drive thru, ridiculous! That's not the worst part. The chicken was dry and bland. Don't they know what basic season is? Maybe take a lesson from KFC! I ordered the Box Combo with fries, coleslaw, and their famous Cane's sauce. The tenders were overcooked, tough. I've had better frozen chicken from the grocery store. The fries were soggy and barely warm, and so salty that they were inedible and the coleslaw tasted like it came straight from a bag with too much mayo. Even the Cane's sauce, which is supposed to be their star, was just okay -- nothing special. Save your money and go somewhere else for chicken, Popeye's is just across the street, Raising Cane's is riding on reputation alone at this point. Won't be back.

The total was $24.40. Really!? My vegie pocket was totally falling apart. You could not pick it up to eat--I used a fork. My wife said that the meat in her pocket was very tough. We have not eaten at a D'Angelo's in about six years. After last evenings experience, I can be sure that we will never return. This is exactly what happens when private equity takes over a business--it turns to crap. In years past, this chain was one of our favorite for great pocket sandwiches. Not any more. We're in the area for our family's summer vacation. We were looking for a quick option for dinner…read moreon a dreary, rainy day. We were in the mood for subs so I found D'Angelo nearby. We have three young kids with us and we let them order their own food because it's good practice for them. We had never been to this restaurant before so we needed a minute to figure out our orders. D'Angelo has a phenomenal employee named Shayna (Shay). She was very patient with our kids as they worked their way through their orders. Shay also kept complimenting and encouraging her fellow employees. She would say what a good job the cooks in the back were doing. When there were no customers in line, she'd come out to the dining area and wipe tables and pick up trash. Shay made our first ever visit to this restaurant a very enjoyable one that we will tell others about. She is a great face for the business and is so kind to customers and employees alike. If Shay isn't a manager, she should be. Thank you for an awesome experience. I almost forgot to mention that the food was delicious as well. The order was prepared perfectly and our kids loved it.
