I don't recommend this garbage location for subway I was at this location 10:56 pm getting a footlong and broccoli soup when I ask the female if she had it she said yes so after that I did my order she made the food bought it and waited for my soup and apparently she gave me a coffee cup I ask her were my soup she said it's in there I said why, and she said she ran out of cups like just say you don't have the broccoli soup and I would understand, anyway got it and left I can't believe that happened this is the first time I see broccoli soup in a coffee cup not only that the bitch didn't even cook my food and I literally just saw her cook it in the photo you see the cheese is not fully melted and the coffee cup with the broccoli soup in it 0/10 don't recommend this place Location at 18545 Roscoe Blvd This happened 12/9/2025 Oh here a tip she charge u if you add more toppings other subways like my local one don't charge me for that Update and message to the ugly Karen I find it funny for the fraudulent when I was at the place in person you retard when you say you don't charge the extra toppings but she did when you're not even there 2 really for the bad language oh I am so sorry for expressing myself and lastly I would most definitely take my business somewhere else At least my local subway don't screw up my orders and at least they cook it right If I remember correctly, I seen a lot of one star review of the same female Shit even she fucked up the order when someone orders it online and you don't even get the stuff, right I really do hope your business shuts down karen no one will miss it

Update: owner has reached out to correct the action, I appreciate a proactive owner, and I may give it a try again one day. I used to have good experience at this location but not today. The guy that took our order at 1:35PM on 2/19, a guy with glasses and unkept beard (which im sure is a health code violation) was rude. We ordered two sandwiches which totaled to about 25$, he made it without care, cutting it incorrectly to the point where it destroyed the sandwiches. We didn't say anything since at the end of the day it's just food. We realized that we can get one more sandwich for 3 for 25$. He said with an attitude "next time tell us that first," which I responded with "sorry we didn't realize we can get another one for the same price." At the time there was no line and 4 staffs, so there was no reason to be rude. He proceeded to make the third sandwich angrily. I'll just share the picture of the sandwich and see for yourself. Business is business, so I'll take it else where. I hope the owner can atleast coach him, I heard this isn't the first occurrence with this guy.

What can I say about Subway? Solid for the price. Good in a pinch. It's a fast lunch. They made me mad because they refused to honor their Yelp check-in perk of a free cookie. "I don't know what that is...there's no bar code...I can't ring it up," were the employee responses when I showed them the check-in on my phone. What do you say to that? Nothing. You bicker for a few minutes, give up, take your sandwich, and then remind them to give you your change. I had to show the gal behind the register my receipt. The total was $6.79, and I gave her a ten. She gave me 21 cents back but forgot the three dollars. The sandwich was fine. The customer service was friendly but either incompetent, unintelligent, or inattentive (or fill in your own adjective). Sorry for the two stars, but these kinds of things frustrate me. There wasn't a long line, so there was no pressure on the staff. Ah well. Such is life.

You can watch them make the sandwiches in front of you. The ingredients are fresh! Our go to is #10: pork banh mi. Today was the first time we ate it right away! The bread was perfectly toasted and had a nice, crunchy bite. The pork was still warm. The veggies were fresh and crunchy! It hit the spot. So good!! We usually order to eat with friends or pack for a trip, and they hold up well. The price for #10 was $10.25, but on the receipt it said $11.25. plus extra surcharge for credit card. I asked about the higher price, and they said tax. It would have been clearer if they specified tax as a separate line item, but at least now we know.

They have Pho as well as banh mi sandwiches, I got a sandwich during this visit. The #10 grilled pork with mayo and all the veggies, extra jalapeños. Let me just say, perfect, excellent, tasty, yum, etc. great sandwich, packed full of flavor, bread and pork are perfect, really, really love banh mi sandwiches anyway, but this one is true to the classic. All sandwiches are also $10, so go crazy and try a couple different ones, to me nothing beats the grilled pork though. You can enter from the street, but will have to find metered parking, so just drive around back, they have a small free lot and you can enter from the rear. There are not any seats to eat there, so everything is to go, but service is quick and the guy was nice behind the counter. Go check them out, grab a lotto ticket if your into that, get some great food, support a local woman & minority owned business, not enough of them out there. Enjoy!

It had been a while since I visited my places in Reseda and I wanted to see if they're still as good as before. Sandwich Express did not disappoint! Back in the 80's I lived in Northridge and had a Vietnamese co-worker who was a friend and fellow foodie. He introduced me to banh mi and Sandwich Express, and I'm so glad he did! Starting with their amazing banh (baguette rolls), they're baked fresh daily. They're crisp on the outside and perfectly soft in their interior. Not too dense or thick - just the right crisp and airy bread to filling ratio that you want in a banh mi! You can also buy baguettes to take home. Back in the day they were 3 for $1! Yup, apparently I'm that old... today they're a couple of bucks, but still worth it. Sorry I failed to take pics of my sandwich when it was freshly made, I was just so excited to go back in time to this little corner of Reseda that looks like it hasn't changed! The photo shown is the next day.. and that's only HaLF of the sandwich! The lady at the counter was so sweet! Don't assume rudeness for challenges with communication. I was nice and she was kind in return. There's a language barrier and at first she was shy, but once we worked through the English-Vietnamese translations with the help of Google, I was able to ask her if they sell Kho Ga La Chanh (Chicken Jerky) - and she ran excitedly to the back and produced a sealed bag of their homemade jerky! Not the same flavor profile as the stuff I buy in San Gabriel Valley, but it's a start! I'll bring them a sample the next time I get a batch to see if they can mimic the sweet spice. Theirs is a little more "five spice" forward. I placed my order for a #1 "Dac Biet" sandwich, "extra pâté, extra veggies". That's my default sammie by which I judge all Bánh Mi and I'm here to say that even a day later, right out of my fridge it's still THE best Banh Mi in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys! Bright, fresh, generously filled.. and the magic bread. I happen to know that a local chain of popular phô restaurants buys their bahn (rolls) daily from Sandwich Express to make their own sandwiches and to serve with their Bho Ko (stew)! If you're wondering for reference where my bar is set, my go-to banh mi spots in San Gabriel Valley are Bánh Mi Hue Thai and Banh Mi Hoa Phat. ~IYKYK~ What has changed at Sandwich Express? It's not just sandwiches anymore AND they have a few tables inside where you can sit down to eat! They don't have my beloved Soda Xí Muội (salted plum soda) or the lime version either. Just canned and bottled American sodas, but that's not a deal breaker. Check out the posted menu pics. Bún Bò Huě, Bò Kho.. the owner did suggest calling first to make sure these items are available on the day you want to come, but she boasts that it's very authentic! They even have broken rice dishes with grilled pork chop (Cóm Tãm Súòn)! I read in another review that the original owners sold. I don't know if this is accurate or when it happened.. but I didn't see the older people that were often in the kitchen so it's possible! Back to the changes - they have desserts now, too! They also cater! What?!? No longer cash only, they accept Visa/Mastercard. I'm so glad we stopped! They still hold the #1 spot in the area. Convince me otherwise!

We have been loyal customers for over 10 years and frequently order the beef sandwich and pâté. Yesterday, we ordered two beef sandwiches and one pâté. Since we live only 8-10 minutes away, we returned home immediately after picking up the order. When I started eating, I noticed that the pâté tasted very sour and spoiled. Unfortunately, I had already mixed part of it with my rice, so I had to throw it away. We called the store right away to report the issue, and they told us we could bring the pâté back the next day. Today, we returned to the store. We did not request a refund--we simply wanted to exchange the item and were willing to pay the difference for a beef sandwich instead. However, the staff member we spoke with was very rude and accused us of lying, claiming that we had eaten the pâté. We explained that we had to discard it since it was mixed with rice and even showed a photo that we throw it in to the trash, but she continued to question our honesty. In the past, we have had positive experiences with previous staff, and the owners have always been kind. Unfortunately, this particular employee demonstrated very poor customer service and made the situation unnecessarily unpleasant. An apology would have been appropriate. The employee declined to provide her name and appeared hesitant. She is a newer staff member, approximately in her 50s, and spoke incessantly while repeatedly blaming us for the situation. This is not about the cost--the amount is small. It is about how customers are treated. While this issue could have been escalated further, including reporting to the health department, we chose not to. What we expect instead is for the store to ensure proper food quality and provide better TRAINING for staff. Due to this experience, we will not be returning and will share our experience with others.

Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars
