Parking was a bit tricky in this neighborhood but I was lucky enough to get a spot in the lot. As I was here for lunch, I wanted to try the sub sandwiches. It was certainly daring to see tongue and brain on the menu, but having grown up in LA loving tacos (where lengua and cabeza are popular protein options) and practicing adventurous eating, tongue and brain sounded absolutely perfect. As my intuition told me, the tongue and brain sub was fantastic. Texture was exquisite, flavor was well balanced, and I am hoping eating such would improve my cognitive and linguistic abilities. I made a mistake and thought I was ordering from one place, not Persepolis. I called immediately and canceled the order. The guy told me he canceled the order while I was on the phone, but he couldn't refund the money and I had to call DoorDash. I called DoorDash and they said the order "completed and picked up". I told them that was not true. They put me on hold and called the business. They came back and told me the business told them I had picked it up! I had to wait on DoorDash for them to talk to two different supervisors before I got my refund. 30 minutes of my life, wasted because whoever was working on Wednesday at 4 PM on May 28, 2025 at this business is a liar. read more
