6 ish in the evening and no customers .... The young Lady was working hard mopping the floor. Store was so clean and neat. Really dislike when all meat and ingredients are pile up in the center. This is the reason I rather drive further to other Subway shop where staff are trained better. The Worst thing is .... The lettuce is old, discolored, and some rot . I had to ask her to pick the rot one out. We also bought a meatball sub home. The meatball in sandwitch is not hot, just lukewarm. Wont come back again. read more

Service and sub Sammie's along with the Dorito nachos are always great here. Place is clean and service is friendly!! Only negative is this owner doesn't accept the Subway advertised specials !! I'm sure he loses lots of extra business . Using the Subway app gives you some specials but again the Owner doesn't accept most specials. Also Charges $6 for the advertised $5 nachos specials. Franchise did not accept coupons. This is a non-starter for me. In addition, when told to add onions and peppers, it was assumed to receive a minimum amount, the server only put 3 tiny stalks of oinions and pepper on a footlong. A local Subway franchisee has been in the papers recently for wage theft and employment violations. I read earlier this week that franchisee has been ordered to sell their locations or shut them down. This one wasn't owned by that franchisee. Not sure who owns it now, but it changed fast. This was the only Subway in Petaluma I'd go to as it was the only one which actually covered their ingredients between uses. I've been going here since it opened at least ten years ago. I'm an infrequent customer, maybe ten times a year, and it has been at least a month since my last visit. What happened? Seriously...what happened? I went in today and it was a completely different crew. Then I noticed that none of the ingredients were covered. Then things went really sideways. I ordered my tuna sandwich and walked the young lady through the process. No toasting, that type of cheese, and everything but A, B, or C. She puts A on it. "No A". She tosses the A. She puts B on it. "No B" (a little more exasperated). She picks B off *and throws it back into the B bin*. I stood there for a second with my mouth agape. Then I said, "I'm sorry, but this is way too unsanitary" and left. Food never touches other food until it's prepared. Once it touches other food it doesn't get put back in queue. Ever more so once it touches meat. WAY more so once it touches fish mixed with mayo. I'm fairly certain this location was sold in the last several weeks. I'm just one customer, but now I'm one less customer. GROSS. read more

Came here for the first time for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Line was long. Their strategy for serving customers is not very good. They had one person in charge of the register and 3 people preparing the sandwiches. One customer had a big order and all three people preparing the sandwiches was helping this one customer. The line went to the door. Line wouldn't be long if they had one worker per customer. As for their sandwiches, it's typical Subway sandwiches. Nothing great but their daily deals are great. Today (Thursday), they had the foot long of Turkey & Black Forest Ham for $6.00. I would probably come back at times when they're not busy. read more

Not a good experience today. The restaurant is a bit out of the way from downtown, which is where one of my offices is located. It's pretty crowded in here throughout the lunch hour, it took several minutes to get my sandwich built and get to the register. I I had a coupon to guy a Footlong and a drink, and get a Footlong sandwich free. Once I got up there, I showed the lady my coupon from the Subway Text Club. She said that she couldn't take it because the coupon was "not on her register." I was like, "What? You don't accept the Text Club?!" She said if it's not on her register, she couldn't take it, but she couldn't give me a straight answer about whether or not they accepted the Subway Text Club coupons. I told her to wait and I would call the 800 number to find out what we're supposed to do. I got Subway Corporate and told the guy what was going on. He asked me the same, "Do they accept the Text Club or not?" I said, "Well, the owner just came out, so I'll ask him." The owner wouldn't give me a straight answer, either, so I asked him to speak with the guy from corporate. He wouldn't speak with the Customer Service guy, but he finally said that no, he did not accept the Text Club. The guy from corporate said that if I just paid for the order, they would send me a $10 gift card. I went back up to the owner who was ringing people up. However, the price had gone up from the $17 the first lady quoted me to $21. So I told him never mind, I would just get the one sandwich with the Meal Deal, that the price had gone up by $4 since I'd been on the phone. He took the other sandwich and whipped it right into the trash. I was like, "Really?! You're just going to throw it in the trash?!" "Yes." Okay, so he would rather throw away an entire Footlong sandwich than give it to a customer or honor a coupon even once. So much for doing anything to get a customer's goodwill! I also told him that he should put up a sign that he doesn't take the coupons so that people don't waste their whole lunch in here only to find out that they can't use their coupons. I avoid this Subway location like the plague because of literally one employee who is always there and always has me fuming by the time I leave. I don't know his name, but he wears glasses and a Subway bandana most of the time. Every time I go there, I usually get a foot long on flatbread. I prefer it cold, so when he asks if I want it toasted, I say no. Then, he proceeds to give me endless grief about why it should be toasted and is very clearly pissed about it. Today, it was probably the worst and I wasn't even there. I ordered through Door Dash and my loving husband went to go pick it up. Here is what I ordered: Foot long turkey on flatbread, NOT toasted. Light lettuce, red onion, extra cheese, extra lite mayo, and yellow mustard. 1 bag of baked Lay's chips and 3 white chocolate macadamia cookies. Here is what he gave my husband. A foot long turkey on flatbread with extra cheese, EXTRA lettuce, HONEY MUSTARD, and it was TOASTED. Not only that, but there were no chips in the bag at all. So, he deliberately messed up my sandwich and shorted me a bag of chips. My husband described his experience and described that guy exactly. This guy seriously needs to not work there anymore or at least be talked to about his performance/behavior. I went here 1x, about 2 years ago. The young man (Caucasian, heavy-set, brown hair) who helped me was so attentive and sweet, it made my sandwich experience even better. The anticipation of it tasting good, and it actually being how I liked it, made every bite even better. I think that the owner perhaps didn't like that the young man wasn't super fast, but I completely appreciated how attentive/thoughtful he was. I generally put subway food in the "eh" category. The quality is usually alright and taste is, well, better than nothing. For whatever reason the sandwich today was really good! So I live closest to this Subway, so I frequent it as often as I crave it. All employees but one have given me the sandwich I want since it's kind of a build your own sandwich bar.. Is it not? Lol My recent experience was not the greatest, actually made me hafta point this out. The owner (Indian decent, salt & pepper hair usually tied back and glasses) is usually there every time I go in so he either makes my sandwiches or oversees that satisfaction is achieved. So recently I went in, and I ordered my usual 6 inch flat bread tuna sandwich with spinach, extra black olives, pinch of onions, cucumbers, double Swiss, light lite mayo and salt & pepper. So they were out of Spinach, and I decided to make up for that lost space in my sandwich with extra extra olives and some extra cucumbers, since the "pad" of spinach wouldn't be there and I don't want a dinky sandwich since S&P and Mayo don't really bulk it up. I wasn't asking for them to open an entire jar of olives into my sandwich, but the first time she grabbed a pinch of olives, I said more please, she literally grabs like, 5. I politely said, "I mentioned extra, could you please put more, since you're out of spinach? I don't mind being charged for the extra I'm asking for." She rolls her eyes, grabs 3, and kinda snarkingly throws them in there. At this point, I'm over it, I don't want to hold up the people behind me, so I proceed to the cashier, where the owner was. I made it a combo, left, but was thoroughly disappointed. Might I add, the gentleman behind me walks in, and she smiles, waves, and says, "The usual?" He says yes, and it looks like she made his sandwich just the way he ordered times past. I wish I could be that "usual order", but I feel like everytime I have to remind her what I want, how much of it I want, and the way I want it. I eat here frequently and have never been disappointed. The manager who has been there just about every time I've been there is very good at his job. So good that I see in other reviews, he is mistaken for the owner. The owner is very fortunate to have such a loyal employee. The place is spotless, the employees consistently attentive and the sandwiches and salads as delicious as any Subway item can be. Hopefully the manager will read the reviews and correct any problems other diners have experienced. read more

I am done with my neighborhood Subway. I buy 2 or 3 sandwiches a week, mostly here. Sandwiches are fine, but the customer service here is often very poor. Go in when it's crowded and they are very slow. Go in when it's not crowded, as i did last week, and get ignored. If they are out of something there's no sense of them wanting to make it right. Generally they don't seem to care if you come to their shop or not, so i won't. Plenty of Subways around, i'll take my business someplace where they appreciate it. Hopefully this place will be bought by someone who gets customer service, 'cuz i don't think they will last doing business the way they do. read more

The food is alright, typical subway sandwich. But the lady who works there and goes by the name "Gabby" needs some attitude training/customer service. I frequent this location quite regularly and she is always unwelcoming, never smiles and god forbid if you forget an ingredient and ask her to add it after she's cut the sandwich. My family was evacuated at 1:30am on 9/28 due to the fire near my home in Santa Rosa. Having gotten no sleep in 24 hours and needing to eat, my daughter offered to get Subway for us. On 9/29 I accidently chose the restaurant located at 5306B Old Redwood Highway in Petaluma, CA when placing my order (order AF8C4A2C-D9 $21.21 - this is the location I eat at when working as my job is located just behind the restaurant). When I realized my error, I called to cancel the order. The woman on the phone was BEYOND RUDE. She questioned why I ordered from them when I do not live in Petaluma, then said it was solely my problem and that she would not cancel the order or refund my card. She said if I did not come pick up the food she would simply throw it away. I explained I could not get to Petaluma due to the fires and again I was told it was my problem. She finally agreed to keep the made food in her refrigerator. I was able to pick up the two sandwiches and wrap on 9/30 however, they were disgusting. The wrap and bread were soggy, the meat in the wrap tasteless and full of fat. My family has been very sensitive to supporting local restaurants during this Covid crisis. However, now that we were in need of understanding an assistance, Subway refused to help us. I will never again do business with this location. I would hope that someone will speak to the owners/managers of this location as they are in serious need of customer service training. read more
