So me and my wife were new to the Petaluma area and we didn't know about the sandwich shop so we stopped in and the menu had so many different choices and options that you can make a sandwich and they also had great recommendations on sandwiches that they have previously made in the past so we both got our sandwiches and when I tell you, they tasted amazing. The bread was so fresh the meat cheese and everything were amazing. The sandwich shop is definitely iconic. The line is always out the door, especially around lunchtime. The owner is a super nice guy really down earth takes care of every customer individually and even gets to know them. We love this place and we keep on going back. Found this place online and we're not disappointed! Really nice greeting as we came in. He recommended the chicken salad as it's homemade. My son in law was all over that! He got it on Dutch crunch and said it was the best chicken salad he has ever had. My daughter ordered the chicken Cesar salad.... She thought it would be in house cooked chicken breast but it was the prepackaged chicken. I had the ham, salami and Swiss on Dutch crunch.... Bread was really fresh and the flavors were so good. They have all sorts of creative sandwiches such as "Gone Golfing," "The P-Town" and "What's Up Bro?", crafted by the owner that are perfect for picnics, a quick easy lunch or a night in while you watch Stranger Things.  *Pepper Jack Sparrow- On a Dutch Crunch Roll (The best), this sandwich is on the secret menu with pepper jack cheese, Dandy's special sauce, onions and turkey.  *Turkey Sandwich-I always get the Dutch Crunch Roll with everything on it (except lettuce) and add the Dandy Sauce, mustard, oil and vinegar.  The first bite crunch is sooo satisfying and the sandwiches are so juicy and made with fresh ingredients. I used to know Dandy Sandos as Mr. Pickles back in the day. The name changed, but the sandwiches remain fantastic . Walking inside you get hit but all the cool decor this place has, making it cosy and fun. The staff are friendly and are hard at work at their sandwich making craft. Whenever I come into town to visit family, I'll get a sandwich here at least 3 times a week - often more. I'll usually call in my order if I'm in a hurry, but the design inside and the environment of the place makes it worth going in when I can. They're quick regardless. Every sandwich I've had here is a 10/10, but adding their Baja Sauce really separates this place from the pack. Found this place trying to avoid 101 traffic coming thru Petaluma. The sandwiches were delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and the overall experience felt very authentic. The sandwiches though, so so good! They were baking bread fresh while I was there. They were apologetic about needing 5 min to finish baking but the bread rolls were definitely worth it. The "burrito" was layers of sliced ham and almost no bacon or cheese in a spinach tortilla wrap. It is a bit out of my at but I would and will be back because the quality makes up for the distance. They let me try the tuna and chicken salad. They make those in house. We've been going to this location for years, starting back when it was still Mr. Pickles. It's part of our annual vacations in Bodega Bay. The sandwiches are fantastic. Filled with the meats, cheeses, and vegetables I love, and the breads are delicious. The service is friendly, efficient, and generous (with lollipops and Smarties free for customers!) Between the four of us, we ordered for sandos, two with upgrades (one extra meat and one GF bread) and added three soft drinks, for $59.89. I got the number five, which was hot pastrami with pepper Jack. I got it on a Dutch crunch roll, which was fresh and large. The meat, while sparse and bunched up into one end of the sando, was seasoned well. The veggies were crisp and plentiful, while it was dressed with garlic oil and mayo.
