Went in for a sandwich for my son. There was an employee at the counter who was making a sandwich. As we stood there for approximately about 5-minutes while he finished making it, he finally looked up to us and said that he couldn't help us because he was at "lunch". Okay... By then a second employee came out who was all covered with tattoos. He walked directly over to a sink, where he started washing his hands. After washing them he got a paper towel and began drying his hands. It was then that I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He began blowing and digging up his nose with the paper towel. instead of re-washing his hands he grabbed some gloves and walked over to us. Okay so I have had my share of bad experiences here. You are welcome to read about them but this one about takes the cake. So we decided to have the 3 foot long sandwiches for 18.00 late at night and waited patiently as the line went away and all 3 of us ordered. Myself my wife and my friend who has parkinsons. So after we order or shall I say while we ordered my friend went to grab his heart because he was having pain and crouched over. He doubled up and the concern was huge from the people maybe you should not have a sandwich he exclaimed perhaps you should go to the hospital. We continued to order and then we took our sandwiches to our table. We all began to eat with the exception of my friend who has parkinsons he looked at his sandwich as as he looked at it his hands slipped and the sandwich hit the floor. Everyone saw it happen including everyone behind the counter at subway. "Aww...not good..its okay" one exlaimed as we has this happened I was sure they were going to be compassionate. The woman said right away. We will take care of this. So as we waited we ate. My friend who has parkinsons could not eat cause his sandwich was now on the floor. We waited and we ate while he continued to wait. Finally the woman behind the counter realized that it has been like 15 minutes and she had taken 2 customers while my friend sat there once again with no sandwich. So here is where it gets strange. So finally the woman realized that the sandwhich has not been taken care of and the floor was still a mess. So she sent another gentleman out to clean the sandwich. Frusterated I saw there was some issues here. They obviously had no protocal for what just happened or they we completely clueless when it came to customer service. I believe it was the later. So we waiting again until I realized unless I stand in line to get this sandwich that was promised my friend is not going to eat at all. So remember I stated earlier that they offered to replace the sandwich. Well if you did not catch that part they did. So I am standing in line and ordering . The gentleman looked at me with a blank stare as if he was going to tell me something quite profound. So I waited... as my friend with parkinsons sat at his table patiently waiting for his food. He started to prepare the sandwich a 6 inch when we ordered 1 foot long. I let him know it was a footlong.. He said you smashed both sandwiches. I said yets..did you not see? He begrugenly got a foot long from the siver bread thingy and placed it on the table asked me the topping and then the crazy part happened. The gentleman looked at me and said no worries. We'll get you a discount. A discount I said. I had not idea nor did I expect to pay for this sandwich it was clearly an accident due to a health condition. Then when I thought i heard everything he said...Aww... you got the special so we cannot provide you a discount. I leave for work early in the morning every weekend and not many stores are open at 4AM so I come here all the time. My initial impressions of the store is that it's very well managed. The tables are always clean, there is no trash to be seen, and the employees give me a friendly welcome. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my sandwiches. A lot of other Subways and sandwich stores oversauce and season their sandwiches but Ryan consistently makes my sandwiches perfectly. Got some coupons in the mail for subway this week. Made a trip but forgot the coupon so I had my wife txt me a pic of the coupon. I explained my situation to the guy working, but he would not honor the coupon stating that they had to have the physical coupon to avoid people reusing them. Very disappointed! The mailer I received had 5-7 of the same coupon. A wise manager would have taken the hint that if the coupon was valid, the marketing of the promo obviously worked to get me in the store. A valid promo used multiple times is a good thing thus your corporate advertising the promo. This location will be losing a customer over what would have been an easy sale.
